CBS didn't air it.
Maybe because that was more a team-specific protest than the league wide action. The usually benign owner, Bob McNair, really stirred up a hornet's nest with his comment about 'the inmates in the prison' and the team felt it needed to respond.

Has Brandon made one look with a fitted waistline? Everything of his that I remember has a crop top.

Still not pregnant! (Or at least not announcing!) Whooooo!!!
I'm happy if they've decided to buck the Duggar trend (and pressure) to pop out a baby as often as possible, if that is indeed their decision. However, there is the possibility that she just hasn't conceived even without birth control. Ginger is very thin. A lack of sufficient body fat can lead to infertility. I certainly hope that's not the case with the Vuolos. They are easily my favorite Duggar couple; I hope they have made the informed and deliberate choice to remain childless for a while. But there is the other possibility.

Did anyone else think that Joy was holding her bouquet in a strategic place every chance she got?

I guess you're as tired of Altuve as Astros fans are of Judge, mojoween.
Which one do you think wins MVP? Which one do you think should win?

I think the football gods hate Houston. We finally get a franchise quarterback (who threw 5 touchdown passes again yesterday) and then J.J. Watt, the heart of the team, goes down with a broken leg. When am I going to quit getting my hopes up?

It's unbelievable... Houston finally has a quarterback!

I'm surprised to see Dog the Bounty Hunter on this list since his wife has just been diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer.

As if the Texans didn't have enough troubles, now veteran linebacker Brian Cushing has been suspended for 10 games for using illegal substances as yet unnamed. Management is supposedly gobsmacked - totally surprised.

doodlebug, you must be over the moon with the Indians winning their 21st straight game today. As an Astros fan, I'm not thrilled with our falling so far behind, but I can appreciate what the Indians are doing.

After today's humiliation of the Texans by Jacksonville, I wonder if Bill O'Brien is going to lose his job. He can't make a decision about the quarterback he wants to use. It's been this way during all 4 of his years at Houston.

Aww, Roger. I was rooting for you.
When was the last time there was an elite female tennis player as universally disliked as CoCo? I know she must have some fans, but the prevailing sentiment among tennis followers seems to be negative. I can't remember anything comparable in the years I've watched the game.
I hope Madison blows her off the court today.

The problem I had with Brandon's look is that nothing about it inspired a feeling of dance. It might have been interesting and was clearly well made, but I don't think it met the parameters of the challenge.

Yay! I was getting concerned that Jeff's cancer was preventing a new season, so this is great news.

There is a new ad running on TV promoting Aruba as a fun vacation destination. Every time I see it I think of Natalee. It's probably not fair, but I think Aruba is always going to be associated with Natalee Holloway and her death.

I'm about 20 miles south of Houston. 9 inches of rain so far. Lots of people have lost power, but we still have ours, thankfully. Just waiting and watching to see what Harvey does in the next couple of days. Some are predicting that it's going to swing back around into the Gulf and make a 2nd landfall close to Houston. That would be a disaster, so we're hoping it just peters out as it moves inland.
I appreciate all the good thoughts. I don't post much, but I read this thread every day and always chuckle at the insights you guys have.

For anyone in the path of Hurricane Howard..be safe!
(And if you're told to leave..DO it)
Thanks, ChiCricket. I'm on the Gulf Coast somewhat north of the expected landfall, so we won't experience the worst of Hurricane Harvey but should get a ton of rain. My community has been told to shelter in place, so we're hunkering down for the next few days. I appreciate the kind thoughts.

I was SO glad that Tia turned Matthew and his mom away. Maybe that will be the wake up call that the mom needs. She's got to see that Matthew is borderline out-of-control.

The Houston Texans' first round pick last year, Will Fuller, broke his collar bone in practice today. He's likely out until November. Bummer for Texans fans.

Novak Djokovic is going to sit out the rest of 2017, including the US Open, to rest his injured right elbow. He doesn't intend to have surgery at this point.

Talk about being on a roller coaster down here in Houston. We win the World Championship in baseball last night and today learn that our fantastic rookie quarterback is out for the season. What a 24 hours we've had.
