  1. If his normal weight should be 100lb he is VERY short indeed. No more than 5'1" I'd say.
  2. I haven't had anything sweet other than dried fruit since March 18th. Sigh. But I am four pounds and 1% body fat down since March 10th. I will resume eating sweets on May 5th but I will try to be very disciplined because I still have a goal of being able to fit into EVERYTHING I own if not by my birthday at the end of June then by the time I go to Europe in September... That's another 15-20 pounds I need to shed to be able to fit into a dress I last wore in 2009 (it kind of zips, but I look like an overstuffed sausage in it).
  3. That's some dedication to overeating for sure! Why? Just grab two of everything from the junk box & bottle aisles...
  4. Yeah he is a clear case of swapping one addiction for another... he really needs therapy first. The sister isn't much smaller than him. They should get a family discount! But she probably thinks she doesn't have an issue because she is tiny next to her brother...
  5. I feel bad for the brother. SOmething tells me Charles would NOT be taking care of his brother if something happened to him... The brother looks normal weight... must be because he wasn't raised by the mother.
  6. 5 eggs, 7 sausages. How many biscuits - 3 or 9, that's the question!
  7. He just looks so odd. Is he very short?
  8. Hello, my favorite bunch of snarkers! Looking forward to spending another Wednesday night with you all. Eating habit today is leftover seafood saffron risotto. The portion was so huge last night, I ate about a third in the restaurant, will eat a third now and the remaining third tomorrow. Lunch was delicious panko-crusted tilapia with brown rice (didn't intend on so much rice but that's what the work cafeteria entree was!) and a simple spring greens salad. Only two and a half meatless weeks remain. I need to start planning what my Easter lunch will be, the first meat-containing meal in seven weeks. I might not be a poundticipant, but some meals are more special than others and deserve thought and anticipation to be put into them! Something tells me Charles won't be a success story...
  9. Don't you understand, advice is not help. Help is magic surgery after which the patient wakes up slim and trim and able to eat whatever she wants, whenever she wants.
  10. Something tells me she will never progress past the self-comforting talk stage. Unfortunately. Good night, everyone! This was a doozy, but we are each other's support system to work hard and get through it! See you next week!
  11. Yeah... you can have a fight with one person and that be their fault, but when EVERYONE in your life bails out on you, it's probably a YOU issue. PS Didn't she get caught stealing as a kid? Wonder if she started again and that's why everyone is done with her...
  12. I think I know why her Mom has thrown her out. 26 years of listening to endless excuses and not seeing any effort can cause a strong reaction.
  13. Another 9 pounds. Yeah. At least 'it's an improvement', heh. She is really not doing anything except lying to herself.
  14. I am a daughter of a woman who ENJOYS cleaning the house. Like, she thinks it's a fun activity to pass time. You can imagine how traumatizing my childhood was (not enough to balloon me to 600lb, though, so you have to take my word for it). Took me almost 40 years to stop feeling guilty about NOT cleaning nearly as much as my Mom. Unlike her, I DON"T enjoy the process.
  15. She is so full of excuses... and I think she really doesn't believe fully that she IS in control of her life. Which is why she should be in therapy, but she is refusing to do it...
  16. 12 pounds. "But at least it's a loss". And she is apparently super happy about this, ahem, progress.
  17. I hope so! And will be convinced that the scale is broken and give us a monologue on how hard she has worked!
  18. I know I have lost the weight. Heh. I am going to bet she hasn't lost more than 20-30 pounds in all that time. But she thinks she lost at least 100.
  19. She looks and sounds way brighter now. Hopefully she will make a turnaround now. Maybe she will even reconcile with her mother if she will see that Shakiya is serious about making an effort? Her not doing anything could have been the reason Mom threw in the towel and threw Shakiya out... Thank you for the reminder! I will go wash some during the next commercial break!
  20. Sticking it to the diet is more like it...
  21. Yeah, looks like a hotel, not a facility. No signs of any medical equipment in her room either. Either she is embarassed about living in a hotel or she doesn't know what hospice actually is and confused it with either a hostel or a hospital?
  22. That certainly isn't water... and that meal is not on a diet. I think Qdoba?
  23. Poor Shakiya. Was it during COVID? An infection and is she bedbound now? And then she can't go home now? Is there an explanation for why? I think something weird is going on.
  24. And she thinks surgery is the magic bullet that starts the real weight loss? She is in for a rude awakening. But I am afraid she will choose to remain in a food coma. I think her sister and her friend are pushing her, but she herself hasn't fully realized the need yet, nor her Mom... and she also thinks sad salads with sad grilled chicken breast is all she can have. C'mon, girl, if you want to go back to college, that means you can read and you can think at least a little, apply that to food!! There are so many more options.
  25. Her nephew is so sweet! But her missing 'all the times' for weigh-in because she is 'focusing on getting things started' reminds me of the old Garfield cartoon. 'If you spend enough time planning, you never have to actually get anything done!' I think she has hardly lost anything. But I hope she will turn around yet...
