I noticed Kody’s silent reaction when Christine called him out on only sleeping with her once or twice a year. He was probably wincing because Robyn didn’t even know it was that often.

Ha ha!  He probably had Robyn convinced that he hadn't had an intimate marriage with Christine since Truely was conceived.

Something hanging from the ceiling that's only about a foot long doesn't offer any privacy though.  It can't possibly be a design element, it's just too weird.  And ugly.

It looks like it is made from cowhide and wound around the top bar and slopily secured in the "up" position with velcro strips. If they had an "intimate marriage", I might have thought it was some sort of urban cowboy trapeze rack.

  3. I didn't notice that thing hanging from the ceiling while watching - I was focusing on Kootie's BSing face.  Could it be a privacy curtain for Christine's doorless bedroom?  It looks like it is made from cowhide or some scraps.

I think everyone is shocked to learn about Christine's night job while pregnant.  That wasn't even in their book.

I wonder if she needed a job outside the home to pay off her welfare fraud with garnisheed wages. Kootie certainly would never admit that he couldn't financially support his wives and kids. He probably blamed Christine for applying for food stamps.

Christine took care of 11-12 kids all day, worked in the evenings, and Kootie claims that this is HIS house, HIS bed, etc.  Christine certainly earned them.

She was seen briefly in a talking head - I know because I was very confused by her leopard print shirt under a coat made of what looked like leftover blue pleather from a Barcalounger circa 1979.

The knit neck insert on that blue pleather jacket reminded me of jackets (usually brown) worn by boys in my gradeschool in the late 1950s - early 60s.

  6. Instead of saying that Roberts would be transparent "when pigs fly", Whoopi chose "when I'm a natural blonde".  I wonder if having "natural" blonde Sunny in her sight line made her think of that.

Whoopi looked nice and rested today.  The eyebrow discussion was interesting. I've always noticed her lack of brow hairs, but could see her brow bones and I always notice when people draw higher brows on themselves but you can still see where her their brows should be.

... Also WTF, should she be also looking after Robyn's kids if Robyn was indeed stay at home and didn't work!!!

I suspect that Kootie promised Robyn that the family would pay off all of her debts and Christine would take care of her kids if she agreed to join the fambly.  Robyn got a string of nannies instead of a nanny Christine. Considering what a doormat Christine was 10 years ago, I suspect that was Robyn's choice and she probably persuaded Kootie that Christine refused.

So watching the clips about Robyn insisting he still sleep there on his assigned nights

I'm sure it was only for the camera to support her "I never do anything that would hurt this family" fictional narrative. We know from other scenes over the years that she has phoned Kody 5 minutes after he arrives at Meri's and multiple times when he is with Christine's kids. So he may be physically present for assigned times with the other 3 families, but on his phone with Robyn most of the time.

    So what?

My point was that Sunny never mentions the Spanish colonizers who were far worse than the British in their treatment and genocide of Caribbean, South & Central American indigenous peoples.

  10. I was just watching the episode where Kootie is returning from Janelle's Mom's funeral and he admits that he was hugging & kissing people even though he didn't know where they'd been and would have to cancel Christmas (<10 days later) if he tested positive.  So he didn't seem to have been thinking about Robyn's health while away, though I guess he figured he could just isolate at one of the other wives' houses until he tested negative and then stay at Robyn's permanently.

I think I read somewhere that it was the nanny or the nanny's husband that brought covid into the Kody/Robyn household.

Yes, it was. Husband got it first, then the nanny.  Yet Robin & Kootie trusted them more than their fambly members, who didn't catch Covid until later. And Kootie actually mentioned before the nanny's Covid scandal that he didn't follow his/Sobyn's protocol while at Janelle's Mom's funeral.

Right,  I was referring to the comment below that one about Mykelti looking good. I thought they were referring to that photo.  I should have included that post.

I think they were referring to the photo of Mykelti & Aspyn (before the bride tribe photos) where both of them looked great and happy! They look good in the more recent photo when Mykelti is more pregnant with twins too.

Are any of the Brown girls up in that Bride Tribe group?  Curious if Savanah is in the Bridal party this time.

I don't see any. Michelle has many friends outside the family, unlike most of the Brown clan. Having 0 Browns in the bride tribe is probably the fairest way to go so none of them feel slighted or obligated. I was very happy when my SIL did not ask or expect us to be in her bridal party, especially since we all lived far away and barely knew her.

The wives said, in the San Fransisco/Truely Kidney Failure episodes he had never changed a diaper.

I guess he paid for that in spades when changing 4-yr old Areola's diapers full of poop explosions whenever the nanny wasn't there to do it. If Robyn was too pretty to cook and clean, she probably was too pretty to change diapers or toilet train her kids at reasonable ages.

Totally agree about Galloway. It's like he wanted to upstage Bill with his "bitter old man" routine. He was really condescending with his "I know better than these young lazy kids about what's best for them."

He's ~9 yrs younger than Bill! Though I feel the same way about SM, lazy kids & adults, Galloway's professorial monologues sounded like lectures he'd memorized, given many times and can give in his sleep. Not very engaging for the class or audience.  It is funny that his speech pattern when delivering hyperboles reminded me of Valley Girl speech.

Thank God it's not just me.   I appreciate Sunny's legal commentary, her intelligence (most  of the time) not to mention her gorgeous hair.  But I am over her rants.

I'm not sure I even trust her legal commentary anymore.  She used to be very careful about doing her research on facts before the show and choosing her words, but twice this week and several times last year she'd say "I think I'm right about ..." or "tell me in my ear if my numbers are wrong ..." and then proceed to say stuff she pulls out of her ass to support her views.  Maybe there is a reason she is a FORMER Federal prosecutor.

Sunny's ancestors probably included Spanish colonizers, rapists and dehumanizers as well as their victims. How does she deal with this conflict running through her veins?

Mykelti seems to tolerate Sobbyn, and I don't quite get it.  Whatever.

Mykelti seems to be quite chill about everything.  She may just live life in the moment, taking people as they come and not letting anything negative that they may say or do get to her. Sort of the opposite of Meri who imagines and obsesses about perceived wrongs that she never forgets and stews about, making herself miserable thinking that everyone is out to get her when most of them aren't even thinking about Meri.
