A friend texted me when that first happened and I thought he was making it up. I don't know why out of all the shenanigans going on this is what strikes me as utterly bizarre, but it is so weird! Right? Am I overreacting to the weirdness of this? They are coming and going from their desk in the middle of segments. Like, where do you go? What do you do? Why can't it wait?

And now they both just showed up right in the middle of Andrea Mitchell talking about Tillerson. What are they doing? This is so weird. Did Joe get his hair redone during his disappearance?

That was weird. I tuned in at the Connor Lamb segment. Joe shows up out of nowhere. The panel goes apace as usual. At some point in the middle of it Mika leaves, and then Mika starts Tweeting about their pillow talk.

I am a dedicated Laura Brown fan and forgot #joeandmika were on Dirty Laundry until I saw the Morning Joe Style thread upped the other day, ha! There's a lot going on in this, beyond the t-shirt defacing. I'm surprised Joe is hiding away in various Connecticut bunkers and isn't in New York bonding with his future mother in law. Or maybe that is the reason he is in hiding in various Connecticut bunkers (and letting his true asshole shine). Anyway, I'm just glad we had Katty Kay there to provide Mika's usual "wows" and "whoa" and other assorted noises when the Rexit news broke. Phew!

This is such a bad look. You know it has to kill Joe's ego to have such a JV background/backdrop/setting while going over this breaking news about Tillerson. He surely knows optics, he surely knows this looks horrible. ETA: If she is actually ill (if), Mika sure is ill a lot.

I get the Politico morning briefings, which is where I got all the news on the latest Co-Hostment party. The WaPo threw them the party because Joe does his regularly scheduled op-eds there so he's part of their crew now, I guess.

I think all signs point to the latter. One goes to JHops. That drive to DC only takes me an hour (sometimes less). I forget where, but I saw some pics of the event on Instagram. Mika had a different glass of alcohol in each photo. Lol. Maybe she was either still drunk or hung over when she Tweeted. ? On the one hand it is wild to me how cavalier these people are being when they know they have a spotlight on them. On the other hand, a Kushner is gonna Kushner. Mika isn't "under the weather," she's doing art things with her mother?

Some of her Instagram captions have the text speak and random capitalisation too.

GUYS! I am SO disappointed I missed greasy haired (!!!!!) Joe taking his Beltway must-see nationally broadcasted TV show on the road the local radio station basement. Loved these tidbits.

Lolol! I hope MSNBC posts enough clips from today so I can at least make a comparison even if I never get the full experience. Maybe Joe called off the engagement due to her grammar choices. But seriously, yikes Mika, what is going on with you?

Uh oh, maybe the DC party was one party too many and Mika called off the engagement. ;) I missed the show this morning. What was this roving bunker drama? Was this a new faulty bunker? Did he have to move to a basement? Were there Cheetos?

*Mika squeal!* How did I not realise there is a fashion thread! All my loves thrown together in one! Does anyone else watch the Dirty Laundry with Laura Brown spots? I love Laura Brown, just to get that out of the way. I accept she’s not everyone’s cup of tea. She had a great recent interview with the Grey’s Anatomy actress, I forget her name, the main one. Mika and Joe were on back in autumn. Mika talked about how she likes fashion and how horrible Joe is with clothes. They talked about The Sweater and how Joe wore it everyday as a FU to The Powers That Be. Or something. Mika thinks his old loafers look is “hot.” Joe, for his part, brought out this nightgown looking shirt he, and only he, loves. At one point I remember Mika bending down and Joe, like, getting down on top of her. Laura also flirted with Joe and it made me almost choke. Mika used to dress fashionably!!! … But now she frumps. Something is up with Mika.

Ha! Thanks, I hadn't seen that. I am glad mainstream outlets are picking up on it too. To be honest, I wish Morning Joe would tackle this since they are in the rare position of having someone who has been targeted as co-anchor. They could have a real, open, honest conversation about it on a more rooted level that's just not in the abstract. She/they have had to deal with the very real aftermath and can give voice to the damage their rhetoric does. Joe just randomly throwing it around on Twitter or awards show speeches doesn't give it the weight it deserves. Reid's segment was quite good (as always), but I reckon their two shows are two different audiences.

It always is the Family Values guys, innit. For those keeping tabs on the Maggie gossip, a lot of journalists, including Kurt Bardella, are responding to the Trump Tweet with versions of "So why are you aways calling up Maggie, then?" Relatedly, Bardella was on AM Joy this morning calling out the NRA and how they are responsible if anything happens to anyone in the media who they have called out in their propaganda videos. I'll link the clip below, he's good people now (??? ?‍♀️?), anyway, he mentions the misogyny in their Sexy Mika video (excuse me, Sexy Joe's Fiancée video) and how they know full well these videos are radicalizing their followers who then potentially think they need to take matters into their own hands. He would know...

In other news news, the story about State News Network's Jesse Watters having an affair with an employee and divorcing his wife for her is picking up steam (Anyone want to bet a truck: if anyone from the network decides to fight back against negative coverage they will spin something with Joe and Mika's origins story).
