I wanted to hear Willie's banter about the Olympics and his gold-medal-in-warmth winning coat so went back to catch it online. MSNBC cut it from the replay. Booo!

Being homebound due to the Nor'easter leads to interesting trips on the ol' Google machine. I read this article when looking around the see how many Trump themed musicals there are floating around Downtown theaters. I can't get over his Google confusion. Howling. https://www.gq.com/story/joe-scarborough-has-big-dreams-trump-musical You here, Joe?

Joe gets on my nerve, but the show is much better when he's actually in the studio and not split screening in from his basement. Ugh. Joe has Nir Barkat on the show and is asking him about the embassy move to Jerusalem like he's been sedated. Good, Heilemann just brought up the corruption charges. Wait. But they moved on already. Who is this man who just asked Barkat about gun control? What a horrible segment. Ok, is something wrong with Joe today?

The WaPo is throwing Mika and Joe an engagement party next week. Lol. No, really. Weird, right? Who agrees to an engagement party 10 months after they get engaged? On the episode thread I posted about Mika's late night #joeandmika Instagram posting she quickly deleted. Fear not, though, searching the # leads you to someone who screened it and posted. Was she drunk? Ambiened? Actually away somewhere and missing Joe?
-
Is Mika drunk? Lol. It's after 11pm and she posted an Instagram photo of herself looking beautiful and Joe looking a little rough (ok, so, normal), but she was full on beaming at him, with something about them being ok with needing filters and, wait for it, this hashtag... #joeandmika Girl! You have to be up for work in something like 5 minutes. Unless she's still on assignment tomorrow. Edit: she deleted it. Hmm.
-
But Mika is on assignment!

The personal connection is probably exactly why she's given the beat. A v. quick and cursory Google hit job shows she's used the NYT to advance at least one Rubenstein pet project in the past: http://nymag.com/nymetro/news/media/features/918/index5.html I've heard the Kushner's use a sibling branch of the main Rubenstein PR tree, but I haven't had the ambition to dig for more there. You know, I'm going to a day late dollar short post-Purim party tonight, I'm going to ask around for more gossip. Lol PS: Morning Joe PR people, if you're reading this, LOOK INTO IT AND DO A SEGMENT. Lol
-
Be wary of Maggie. Her mother is a Rubenstein exec. For those who are lucky enough not to be tuned in to these minute details of NYC life, Rubenstein are (one of?) Donald's PR crisis firm(s?). Also, McMaster's wife works (worked?) for Mother Nancy. Sorry, that is getting off topic from the show. To wrap it back, there was drama between Joe and Maggie back at the NYE M-A-L visit of infamy. Not that their relationship with Trump wasn't completely eye-rolling, but I always assumed Maggie's issue stemmed from something personal at having to share a personal connection to the man of orange.
-
Access Maggie lambasted someone for saying this same thing, telling him comments questioning her sources like that are the reason people believe there is "fake news." L-to-the-effin-OL. Maggie and Joe would make a lot of sense as a couple.

I lol when I see this on the top of the page. But I have to ask... what is the fish porn movie? Lol.
-
I could see it. Joe replies to random Tweets, so he is at least curious enough/enough in his ego to read his Twitter mentions and that's probably the darkest place you can seek out. And it's my personal conspiracy theory that he had that burst of posting pics of him listening to Mika, how much he loved her, and then all the childhood pics about her because he got slammed from the entire internet as emotionally abusive after that interview.
-
The last time Joe went on assignment we were gifted THIS IS FOOTBALL. Maybe Mika is filming THESE ARE CHICKENS.
-
Joe's hair looks shorter and less poofy.
-
I did, and thank you! Lol. Spot on, I agree. I sort of get Mika on these levels, I grew up with parents who thought popular culture would trash brains and creativity lol. But I feel self conscious about myself in these situations where significant pop culture moments come up and I'm conversationally useless lol. Mika, on the other hand, seems like she is still trying to find a way to please her parents. It really makes me wonder what she and Joe do or have in common besides the show. Besides shopping at Dicks.
-
-
Lol wait. How? Does Joe keep his wallet on the desk? Or in Mika's purse? I turned in at 8:30 to Mika having lost her mic, and a conversation about Dicks with Willie. I'm not mature enough for this.
-
Here you go, it's the only video I could find (although admittedly my search was fairly lazily conducted lol): https://www.nationalreview.com/blog/corner/jack-jay-joe-and-more/ I'm still greatly amused Joe is in his emotions enough about this to bring it back up at the very end.
-
This. Not surprised. I'm going to Google this later too, thanks for the tip.

The short of it (it carried on quite a while): Joe threw it out there that Mika once dated a guy from … was it the National Review he was an editor for the Dartmouth Review and they dated a few years. It happened at the beginning and end of the Buckley segment. Mika went off. This guy, who she never named despite Peggy’s best attempts to get the gossip (although it was clarified it wasn’t Dinesh…lol), left her crying out cold on the steps in the rain after she spent two hours doing her hair and make up because “apparently there were more important things going on.” The entire time Joe tries to get her to stop, the top moment being when Joe says women only complain about their ex boyfriends when they aren’t happy in their current situation. Mika stops momentarily, gives the camera a look, and continues with her monologue about this ex. Peggy asked what happened to him. Throughout Joe is quietly sulking and says something like “it turned out ok for you in the end,” which goes unnoted. Anyway, Mika tells Peggy, “I think Laura Ingraham stole him.” The scene fades at the end of the show with Joe asking-telling her she’s still hung up on this and Mika making an OTT gesture. I was howling and actually paused putting on my eyeliner. It was delightfully weird and messy.
-
Lol Mika's stories about her exes... I can't lie, I would love to sit on her chicken coop steps passing a bottle of vodka back and forth and talking sh!t. Wait. I think Joe is legit hurt she's still hung up on that. Final edit: I cringed SO HARD at the guest's "Is our lady here yet?" story about Peggy Noonan.
-
Lol. Joe's manhood was hurt by a poofy winter coat. It's gonna be a stellar morning. She switches to a black sweater later on. With her shirt+sweater and his tie, they look like they're going to a Gryffindor themed party.
-
I missed something at the beginning. Why was Mika wearing a huge coat, and why did Joe look so mad at her for it?
-
Barnicle annoyed me more than usual today. He and Joe both overuse the "how were these people raised" line.

You could see the wheels grinding to a halt in her head as she got to the third wife part and tried to take it back. If I see a clip I'll try to make a GIF.
