And because she hasn’t dug herself enough of a hole, she’s Retweeted Biden thrice, as well as Claire McCaskill saying she believes Biden and some other of the very limited journo support for her interview. It’s worth a walk over to her account to check it out. It feels like the beginnings of an upcoming meltdown. Update: the ratio numbers are still flying. 20,000 to 3,000 now.

Thought I’d bring this over here. The ratio on Mika’s interview tweet is at 17,000 to 2,500. I’ve never seen any ratio quite like that.

I don’t know if now is the time for Mika to be reminding the internet she had her career handed to her through the nepotism of her father’s last name. 🥴

Yeah. I mean, I agree with the general sentiment, but in this case I find the handwringing to come off a bit off. Mika has monetized her personal life, personal outlooks, and personal opinions. When a public figure tells other women how to dress, what to wear, which shoes are ok, what to eat, who to eat with (at what hours to eat), pens screeds on her commitment to ending botox/fillers/plastic surgery - and when each click lines her pocket - is it really shame on everyone for commenting what she is putting out there? She's actively entwined her personal life and professional life in ways that make me incredibly uncomfortable, but she's shown she's ok with the crossover and the monetization of it. ETA because I don't want it to get lost (lol), if anyone else is watching The Morning Show hit me up!

I think the idea that an MSNBC exec would listen, much less care, to what a poor unpaid intern has to report about posts from an Internet forum, and then make decisions on that, is giving us too much credit. 😆 Anyway, has anyone watched The Morning Show on Apple TV?

FWIW, I teach at a college now these days and we are being told to prepare for continued remote instruction for the fall semester. And wow! I haven’t turned the show on in ages, so that clip someone posted is the first time I’ve seen Mika for awhile. She looks totally different. (She also lied when she said she was stopping with the fillers, huh, lol...)

Until his background noise comment is about someone’s bleeding facelift, then it’s time for all out war.

I read a twitter thread from someone whose made comparisons re: the global financial fallout after 9/11 to the expected/forecast fallout from this. It was actually pretty astute, in my opinion. I wonder if that’s what Haas was getting at, but just didn’t follow through well. It was definitely something I’m glad I read and could work through on my own time, rather than passively listening to a quick rundown of it.
