I’m officially all in on RHNY. Best RH iteration ever. Thanks Previously TV friends for the recommendation! IMO - these self-admittedly drunken, 50-something year old, wealthy floozies are hysterical.

I just started Season 8 (I’ve been moving quick - Mr. DC is fatigued watching it), so still have catching up to do and can’t post on recent episodes yet. Can’t wait to see Ramona and Sonja stuffing lobsters into their purse.

On topic - I find it hard to believe Lee Radziwill had a $50M estate. I was under the impression that Jackie Kennedy gave her quite a bit of money to support her lifestyle over the years (guilt after “stealing” Aristotle Onassis from her?).

My knowledge purely comes from my love of Truman Capote though. I didn’t even know she remarried.

So far I’ve enjoyed Carole. Definitely wasn’t what I expected. Especially, unlike Luann, she’s never once referred to herself as a Princess. One - it’s a bullshit courtesy title, and two they’re both naturally born Americans and still live in the United States.

    Welcome!

  2. I was so disappointed with the prints like most of you. One of the prettiest dresses I have ever seen was by Deyonte. Would have put these guys to shame. And it was not on a size 0.

This may be the dumbest question of the day, but why was there no double dipping? The only thing I can think of is that it takes too long and slows down the process? But what are you supposed to do if you accidentally ladle out too little - just send a half cup down the line?

I realize my handle suggests I might have a greater knowledge of such things.

    I do not.

Not dumb. If you haven't worked in food services you wouldn't need to know. The chef is trying to package these meals efficiently. He is working with mostly untrained people. He is also trying to be consistent. If you don't fill it the first time by all means double dip, but try to get it right. That's also why he had her stir the soup every time. Distribution of veggies. He has a set number of meals and a finite amount of food. It's the same reason we use ice cream scoops when making cupcake or muffins. Uniformity.

Love your handle. Thought you were a chef.

See...I am not convinced that what Dorinda did was a heckle.  According to the interweb, a heckle is to "interrupt a public speaker with derisive or aggressive comments or abuse."  This can definitely be argued both ways, and I certainly wouldn't be mad if Judge Judy decided to take up the case, but my position is that a) Luann doesn't do anything important enough at these appearances to amount to "speech;" it's more like abuse of the English language (and the intelligent members of the audience); b) Dorinda wasn't being abusive per se; she was just giving a shout-out to the designer and; c) I think that if the relationship had been solid at the time, no one would have blinked at Dorinda shouting the name of Luann's dress designer at an already raucous performance.  I'm not so sure we can add intent to it just because we are privy to the fact that they were arguing beforehand.  I think we have to look at the situation on its face, and there's not enough there for me to render it a "heckle."  MMV.

Having said that, I did get what Bethenny (holy shit, I...liked her this episode) was going for:  you own something, the other person owns something, and call a truce.  That logic works when there are two cooperative parties at the bargaining table.  As soon as I got the sense that Luann was going to pounce on any apology Dorinda was going to give, I agreed that Dorinda should not offer an apology.  Luann was no saint; Dorinda spent a lot of time nurturing her.  If Dorinda got the sense that Luann was going to take any sincere apology as a sign of weakness and say something like, "yes, you did come for me and you knew I was suffering greatly at the time," then Dorinda would be well-advised to keep her trap shut and keep it cute.  I loved the repeat of the "we don't have to be friends now" line from Dorinda, complete with Luann visibly calculating her own chances of staying on the show if she is aliented from Dorinda in her head.  With friends like these...

Dorinda was doing so well until she started crying in front of Barb.  Barb is sleeping with the enemy, you dolt!  She is no friend of yours either.  I am actually loathe to even discuss Barbara, because she is not a Housewife and I hate her, so I don't want to feed into her fame or notoriety by talking about her.

Yes, I Housewife-hate Barbara.  She is so much worse than any of the rest of them.  Her hairstyle is literally forty years out of date.  Her clothes are terrible.  She doesn't speak well.  Nothing she says contains any insight.  She doesn't move the show along.  She is a Basic 101 Bitch who is clearly trying to promote her company.  Move along, sister.  Go on one of Bravo's home renovation shows that I don't watch or something.

I am not really enjoying this season as much as I have enjoyed other seasons.  It seems boring, stale, and undriven.  It's like everyone is more or less phoning it in.  There is some catalyst that is missing.  I need another Housewife (not a friend-of, because those are bullshit and confusing; but a Housewife who contributes to the energy of this thing).  Bravo, please bring back Jill, Heather, Aviva, or even Kristen or find a new goddamn Housewife.

Since there is so much talk of the Twelve Steps going on, I feel that this is a safe place to say: Hi, my name is LibertarianSlut, and I miss Carole. At first I felt like I could control it by putting conditions on it, like, "I'll only want her back if she had permanently lost the 120 lbs that is Adam."  But what  started as just a fleeting thought here and there has gotten to the point where it is coming to my mind every single week.  Sometimes I can think of nothing other than Carole to the point where it drowns out what Barbara is saying.  I realize I am powerless over this;  It has caused such a painful division between myself and the cast of RHNYC, and I just need to get it off my chest so that I can begin to do the spiritual work required to recover from this.  When these dark thoughts arise, I intend to re-watch old episodes to remind myself of how heinous Carole, in fact, was.  With the help of my higher power, I have decided to take it one overbite at a time.  Thank you for letting me share.

In the spirit of the Real Housewives Twelve Steps, Welcome LibertarianSlut, thank you for sharing.

Wish they would have extended invitations to Kim’s ex’s like they did Brielle’s !!! Surely Big Papa enjoys a Birthday extravaganza as much as the next ex.

And the father's of the two girls. That way Kim could have all three baby daddies in the same room. They could form a club.

  6. Why is it that there are no other police officers in town but Intelligence? Surely the CFD has run into the cops in their area before. Intelligence has no drug dealers, murderers, or other cops to investigate? They really have time for this?

Not that I am not glad that Stella went with her gut, but why not a uniform or detective in their sector? Chicago Med does the same thing. It just chaps my butt. Rant over. Thank you.

Was the double dipping about sanitation? I thought it was so every container had about the same amount. I was confused.  No one was eating off the ladle or touching it,  well except the handle. Sorry if this is a stupid question. 😋

Not a stupid question. Different sized ladles are used all the time to measure. It's more efficient to use the ladle instead of having to use a measuring cup and then into the containers.

Still can't believe what an ass she was there. When she started eating the soup I was flabbergasted. WTF? I hope they banned her from there. Maybe we could get Kelly from OC to show her how to volunteer. At least Kelly is doing it of her own volition, not court ordered.

I find it interesting that the women all comment in their talking heads that you had better not cross LVP as if she is some assassin. I mean, other than being cold and a passive aggressive bitch when someoneis on her shit list (don’t they all) what has she done? She hasn’t assaulted someone (Brandi), or misdiagnosed someone (Rinna), or stolen someone’s house (Kyle), so what makes her the big bad? Or is this a group effort at trying to get the viewers to change their perception of LVP so this take down would work?

You just described my mother, rest her soul. She was a lovely woman but cross her and you felt the pain. I miss her so.

I watch most all of the RHO... shows, but have stayed away from Atlanta this year because of the Leakes’ medical issues.... My sig other of 20 years is going in for a colostomy reversal on April 3rd, and we’ve been read the riot act by his surgeon....For us, this isn’t a walk in the park, and it breaks my heart to read these posts about NeNe’s reactions to Gregg’s surgery.

I have a handful of posts here, but I want to thank you all for your posts regarding Gregg’s surgery....while I can’t relate to the Leakeses as a couple, I truly have taken strength from the posts I’ve read here.  You all are the BEST!  ❤️

Good luck with his surgery. You both are in our hearts.

Rinna says and does a lot of things I wouldn’t, but there’s something really endearing about her. I like that she doesn’t take much seriously, and she can be quite funny.

This is how I felt in the past. This season she is just tooooo happy about this crap. When others are going in on LVP her grin is maniacal.

You need to upgrade your true crime repertoire, my conspirator-in-waiting.  Lime is not your forensic friend.

I don't have a "kill if I'm dying" list for nothing, dontcha know.

You are right, I need to up my game. My knowledge in this area is outdated. I watch entirely too much old CSI.  It's only natural to get behind when you aren't actively using your skills. That being said here are some things to consider.

Ironworks- Are there any foundries near you? One with an overworked, underpaid night watchman with five children and a gambling addiction? Molten metal will vaporize the bodies.

Pig farm- A more gruesome but fitting ending. Got to get rid of the teeth and hair first.

Cemetery-  Confuses the cadaver dogs. Like taking a metal detector to a nail factory.

Drain cleaner- Not sure where to get the concentration that we would need to efficiently carry this one out. More research needed.

One other avenue is for me to write and acquaintance and ask him what method he used. They never found his first wife. He is in jail on another matter.

Nice little brain workout for a Sunday morning. One thing I do ask Walnutqueen is that when the investigation happens and all this research is on my computer you all will chip in for my defense.

    Happy Sunday to everyone!😀

Am I the only one who heard that Dorit kept Lucy locked in the basement for months?   I'm not sure who said it but I think it was Teddi.   I admit that I dozed off while watching so i may not have the story right.

I didn't see Teddi say it but John S has commented on Twitter about it. He states: "I’m aghast at the fact that Teddi would continue to reveil more information regarding a matter that has become very uncomfortable for our foundation. We never intended for the extent of Lucy’s journey or the entirety of what was told to us by the shelter manager to be revealed."

Speculation is that the puppy wasn't house broken yet and they kept her in the crate most of the time. From that you can surmise that no one trained or walked the puppy enough and she had several accidents. ???

  15. When the shift was over where were the next shift? When they are talking to Kat I don't see anyone else in the firehouse. At least have some bodies walking around in the background. I don't need to hear them talk.
