  1. On the show,I think we deserve closure by one final scene in Frankia.
  2. Same about the bishop. The Lagretha thing should've never happened.
  3. Both of Alfred's haircuts are bad,but at least this one makes him look somewhat older.Johnathan Rhys' haircut looks the most modern though, like he just walked out of a barbershop
  4. I was rewatching season 5a,it was pronounced sometimes as heagmund ,the pronunciation has no consistency for some reason.Bjorn was even pronounced as "Bjern" in previous seasons.
  5. *Athelred, not Athelwulf. The actor does look like Moe Dunford though.
  6. I did.It looks like he got puberty overnight.
  7. Probably,a scene is mentioned with Gunhild and Bjorn, and she's wearing a dress that shows that she has nothing under it.We know where's that heading. My remarks: -Heahmund was kinda interesting until they made him Lagretha's lover boy,I'm still bummed out a bit that he's gone though. -Ivar has become such a cartoon stereotypical villain that all he's missing is a chariot powered by humans and a whip. -I don't see how Ubbe would win over Harald, since Harald probably went through more battles and had to plan a lot of attacks to become a king. -I want to see whatever happened to Rollo's kids
  8. Wait,I thought Harald and that lady were only subtly flirting and nothing more has happened, unless I've missed the scene.Script mentions her and Bjorn,so this is confusing, especially since she's married. This episode is stale for me,so I have no comments, except that I like Alfred's new look.
  9. I guess the pregnant girl whose name I forgot is dead, as it implies.
  10. I noticed the writing has a recurring element. Some characters start as interesting, then the writing overuses only an aspect of the character ,making it eventually boring. For example,I thought Aslaug started off as a very interesting character, she was smart and somewhat of a charming naïve princess.Eventually, the show started showing only the bad side of her, first a drunk, then a cheater, and then they made her a cause of killing Bjorn's daughter, no other side of her for redeeming the character.Same thing is now happening to Ivar,in season 4b he had many character sides that made viewers conflicted about him, should we feel bad for him or hate him,but now he's just the "evil" guy, every scene is just to show us how bad he can get,we get it already.
  11. The leaked script or whatever it was had Harald and Hvitserk in it,so I guess no.
  12. In the credits from the next episode and onwards, there's Dean Ridge as Magnus.I never cared for Magnus, but I admit his sudden return is exciting.
  13. I thought his first scene playing chess with Ubbe and taking Ragnar's place on the throne was pretty good. This actually reminds me of how different is adult Ubbe than pre-teen Ubbe, who seemed more ambitious and looking forward to being king.
  14. There was a notoriously bad scene in the first half of the scene, when Torvi,Lagretha, and Astrid are sitting around a table. The line reading sounded like they're practicing rather than it being a real scene.I noticed Katherine Winnick almost always says every line (started from s3 or s4) in an exaggerated tone.
  15. -I like Athelred more than Alfred(unpopular opinion probably) -I do like Peter's Franzen king Harald. He's my favorite this season as well.Harald has got a good screen presence (which I think a lot of the actors on the show currently lack)and he's a bit unpredictable, I always look forward to his scenes.I could tell he's a great actor from the episode with Elisif (spelling?).His body language and expressions changed from a dominant powerful king to that of a timid little boy. -I'm honestly intrigued by Freydis, what are her motivations and goals of doing what she's doing(I don't think it's just to be queen).Although I don't like Ivar that much,I don't like when women characters or in real-life lie about paternity,so felt bad for him when it happened.I hope he finds out and kills Freydis, but in the same time I wanna see more of her.It could be that she likes Ivar that much that she's doing lying to make him more confident, since he's insecure about his "problem" -Again,I don't care about Iceland or bishop Heahmund. -I didn't like Margrethe that much, but Ubbe's a jerk for cheating on her with Torvi,no one's admitting what he did is wrong. -Alex hogh is also good, but the writing of the show isn't doing Ivar any good. He's a one trick pony,we need to see another side of his character again than the murdering side.
  16. -I always found Alexander's Ludwig acting kind of stiff and doesn't catch my attention, only found him interesting for a bit when they went to Africa.I like s1 and s2 Bjorn better. -The "I'm your father" plotline is cheap and cheesy(like a line from a soap opera).I don't see a need for it.This could've been addressed before, but still it would've had the same effect on me. -I don't like them making Margrethe go crazy just for the hell of it(I never even liked Margrethe). -This episode as a premiere is disappointing. -Yes,making the women always look young is weird. For a show that claims to support strong women and such, I know Lagretha has many fanboys that would hate to see her old. There's no way they couldn't find a make-up artist to achieve this if they wanted it. -I lost interest in the Iceland plot a long time ago. -I would've liked if they kept the Samis.
  17. I didn't expect the panel being already out on youtube,so i didn't bother looking for it. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Exactly!,I don't mind some of the things they mixed up(such as making Halfdan and Harald brothers),but somethings just make me wonder why not just do the real deal?(I'm still not over dead Sigurd).Anyways,I saw that coming since Alfred was a kid, preferring someone over another creates rivalry, and thus this conspiring plot.
  19. I'm very excited about the next part as well,I've spending lots of time scavenging for spoilers and hints.I've also thought that Lagretha will be dead by the end of season 5,as she doesn't seem to be on credits for season 6,but again there's no credit for Hvitserk ,and he's in the director's script that was shared on Instagram. . I'm sort of confused didn't Ivar say he'll hand Kattgat to Harald,he seems in charge of it in the trailer?
  20. -It's nice to see Rollo's back, but like everyone else I don't see why would he help Ivar and Hvitserk,he barely knows them.I felt during the episode in Spain that he was trying to be on good terms with Bjorn.I think adding Poppa to the Frankish storyline would be interesting, but I don't see it happening. -Why is Margrethe suddnly the bad guy,I'm not a fan of her,but Ubbe saying it was a mistake to marry because she's ambitious is weird, cause' everybody's ambitious in the show . -I liked that they had the Halfdan and Harald sing one last time.Halfdan was just starting to grow on me,the two actors have great chemistry as brothers.I would've liked more of Halfdan before killing him off. -Introducing Snaefrid and killing her right away makes no sense.I hope we'll see more of the Samis, though. -I thought the bishop was interesting to watch for some reason ,,but after starting to shag Lagretha, all interest is gone. -I thought Guthrum actor doesn't fit well,he just looks odd around the other actors, can't but my finger on what's makes him odd.Anyways, dead or alive he's not adding anything to the show.he should've been used in the great heathen army line like he's supposed to. -I'm confused about Astrid, did she kill herself because she's having the rapist's child,or because she doesn't like living with King Harald,I don't think Harald would've found out that it's not his. -I'm glad they kept Hvitserk,I just want to see how he develops.
  21. I agree that it sort of went down hill after season 3,although I thought season 3 was average. The best seasons for me are 1 and 2,for the following reasons: presence of mystical/cultural elements , like Ragnar's visions of Odin, arm rings ceremonies, temples, and better scenes involving sacrifices , the seer, and the blood eagle. It also had more interaction scenes in a family home(such as with Ragnar and the kids when they were younger), which I think was a good aspect since many medias that feature vikings portray them as ruthless warriors only. A wider range of emotions and feelings was portrayed, betrayal, sadness, love, depression, disappointment, hope, curiosity, regret. But, now I feel wrath is the major thing in show. The story lines were simple, but with purpose. A lot of pointless plots ruined the show, like Yidu and the opium story line. It's still an engaging show but it lost some of its magic and mystery.
  22. My thoughts: 1-I'm kind of disappointed that Ivar lost. He seems to have better tactics than team Kattegat, and they were even mentioning that themselves, so it was quite surprising. 2-I'm amused that someone cares about Athelred now, I always thought when watching the show why doesn't anybody mention the kid's existence, and why wasn't he given attention more than Alfred, since he's actually Athelwulf's Biological son and probably next in line for the throne. 3-I'm weireded out that Bjorn is changing wives every season, his feelings change with the wind. 4-I noticed very often relationships in the show get built and destroyed, nothing lasts. I thought Halfdan and Harald's relationship was one of the strongest on the show, I'm still not entirely convinced he would drop his brother's side for Bjorn, it doesn't like something he would do. Also, Ubbe seemed to like marguerite a lot, kissing Torvi seemed random. 5-Halfdan and Hvitserk need more development, I feel they don't get enough character building scenes. 6-I'm curious why didn't Astrid try to run away this episode, as she doesn't seem to like Harald, and she had the opportunity since she was in Kattegat. 7-Not sure where is the Iceland story line is going. They go there, they build houses and find food, they establish a ruling system, what's next? 8-Judith adds nothing to the show for me.It's strange that her affair didn't have any effect on her life, besides losing an ear.I'm sure if any queen had a bastard son,she won't still be court like nothing happened, and I found it weird that she was defending Ragnar when she was in northumbria. 9-I wish they kept Sigurd,I loved his snarkiness with Ivar,it would've been interesting to see him and Aella's daughter married.
