I like liver. Lately I been pan frying it and having a salad with liver as a side. I also like liverwurst. Yesterday I ordered some at the deli. I commented I was probably the only 1 eating it. I was told no it’s the third most popular deli item sold. Turkey and ham the other 2.

Gizzards are $2 a pound too expensive tbh. The soup can be tasty if she sautéed onions, garlic and the gizzards.

I agree, Jill is just a lazy cook!

I do not like liver but I love liver wurst.  On a good piece of rye bread..... yum.

I think she doesn't feed her kids because she is a crappy cook and knows it.   She hates cooking, but its one of those skills the wimminfolk are supposed to have so she does it every so often for social media.

I'm not a great cook and I hate cooking, but I have a bunch of simple recipes that come out pretty good. Then again, I'm not cooking for a zillion people.

This could explain why none of the children eat.   It could be a clever ploy to save money.     Food so unappetizing that no one wants to eat it with the added benefit of Jill getting to feel puttout because of all the hard work she put into it so she BEGS her hunky hubby to take her to a nice meal with all the money she saved.

I think she is not only a crappy cook but she just doesn't care.

  4. I used to run a book club at the library I work at. We never argued but I think it would have been fun. I wasn't a very good leader and I actually liked one of the early questions before it all went to h---.

I would be more willing to just go along with it, if I hadn’t been following Valerie’s exit from Food Network and things she’s said about behind the scenes stuff. Food Network executives aren’t interested in actual cooking skills anymore, they just want competition shows with the right “story.”

I'm not ready for the tinfoil hat quite yet, but yes, I do agree with that last part.

I did not expect Alex to go, he's been a front runner from the start, but the show does tend to not end with classically trained chef's winning the whole thing. It seems like it was a rough call, Alex's looked a lot better but Nikki's were more creative, I guess this time creativity won over technical skill. Of course, next time technical skill will probably win over creativity, you never know with this show.

Those were some sad cookies, but the pavlova was a cool idea.

I like all of the finalists, but Steven is my top choice.

Yea, you never really know from week to week.

I am also picking Steven for the win.

I don't think it's so much that he hated Clay as it was that he didn't want Clay to win.  He regularly criticized Clay and never criticized Ruben.  Oh, I think once he said something a little negative about an outfit Ruben wore.  Every other week, Ruben was the greatest thing since sliced bread, according to Simon.  The funny thing is, the more Simon talked negatively about Clay, the more the fans rallied around him.  Clay was a juggernaut and nothing Simon said could stop him.

Good point and hate was too much of a word to use. Clay didn't fit the narrative of what an American Idol should be.

The media has been running the clip where during her audition, Mandisa was fat-shamed by Simon Cowell.

Even though she went on to be popular in Christian music and had won a Grammy, Idol never really acknowledged her a successful alum, that she deserved credit for.

I can't believe that crap went on but it did. I remember how he hated Clay. Clay and Ruben made that show soar to the heights it did. He should be grateful.

I see Dave R added to the family collection of traffic citations this week.  This time for blowing a stop sign.  Court date is May 1st.  I just wish that I didn't think that the people having to give up their chicken leg to cover the costs were the littles, not the bad driver.

Around where I live, people are blowing off signs at an alarming rate. I have almost been hit and I witnessed an accident later last year. It's at the point where I won't enter an intersection unless I see no cars around. I'm sick and tired of it.

I love The Bear.  But that shit is not a comedy. I believe it is put into comedy categories for awards because somebody decided that if something only ran for 30 minutes it was considered a comedy regardless if it was more dramatic than funny.

Thanks. From the small bits I have seen, it doesn't look funny. That is too bad because the actual comedies are losing out to it.
