I watched the first ep. If the goal was to get me to throw up in my mouth a little - it worked. The one guy equating eating shrimp  as an equal bible edict as cheating, seriously? The “Frozen” guy stopped cheating because he found tic toc fame or whatever the hell that was, and I’m guessing the wife took him back as they both still had wedding rings on. Just Blech.

Listening to these cheaters justify their hip cool cheating just really hit a nerve. If you don’t want to be monogamous don’t get married, if you’re married and unhappy tell your spouse, leave and then sleep around. And the height of irony is a bunch of people that run a website promoting cheating getting offended they got hacked. Unintentionally hilarious, not sure I can keep watching.

While I don't agree with the shrimp part (there is no mention in the 10 Commandments about shrimp), the guy has an open marriage so if it works for him, have at it. IT won't last but at least you both know what is going on.

AS for Mr. Christian. What a jerk. I would have kicked him to the curb. And how wife saying all she does for him. Makes him breakfast? I get the coffee maker ready, otherwise he is on his own, unless it is a special occasion. She is a fool and he is a hypocrite. He will cheat again. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him.

Yeah unlike last season I am really enjoying the Featheringtons this time. I laughed out loud a lot. But I don’t know what to think of the Mondriches. They just seem shoehorned in, I really hope there is going to be some connection to the main storyline.

I had to look them up. I don't mind their story line.

Regarding Benedict, to be honest, I'm really interested in his heroine. As far as I know, she has yet to be seen. (I read the book, so I know how she makes her appearance.)

    Spoiler

    Yes, Sophie.

I'm keeping an eye out for her or her name.

she was so good in that scene. Like she was pitch perfect.

I might be the only who just does not care about Benedict or his season. I know he’s the second book but the show has made me far more interested in Eloise and Fran’s seasons. It would help if Benedict had a personality beyond “sometimes artist who likes to screw around.” He has no depth.

Eloise's book is my favorite but she is my favorite character.

I like the scene where Francesca and John Stirling sit in silence comfortably while the other Bridgertons look on, baffled. 😆

    one of the best scenes.

I considered drawing them out over the coming weeks, given that part two doesn't arrive until June, but I was weak, and binged.

This does allow me to rewatch all four episodes before June, though, so it works out for me.

    I just couldn't stop once I started.

I thought Colin looked better in previous seasons; I'm not a fan of the spraytan and sideburns, and whatever else they've done to his face.  I wish one of the Bridgerton boys had Daphne's complexion/hair coloring.

I think the point in the books was that the brothers all looked very much alike

I may have missed it in my binging, but I don't think there was anything genuine in Cressida's expressed interest in the great auk or whatever. She was setting out traps for Lord Vegetarian, and it was working well enough.

I would also predict we haven't seen the last of him as yet. Maybe he and Cressida will become a match after all.

No, you didn't miss it.  It was part of a ploy for Lord Vegetarian, though I do think there was a mention of her liking birds.

Like you, I was binging and maybe missed a few things. Rewatch!

After getting his surgery canceled and living in his van by the beach, surgery may be the break David has been waiting for his whole life; Syreeta suffers a devastating personal tragedy that only strengthens her desire to become a mother.

David – S10.E15 (At least I think that’s the right person.  He was in foster care until he aged out.  He was scheduled for surgery, but at the hospital as part of the admit process he was weighted and had gained 38 lbs. so surgery was cancelled.  He lived with a former foster parent Robin).   This is not David of Benji and David.

Syreeta – S11.E04   (She’s the adorable poundticipant who walked up a long hill, and rolled down).

(I'm guessing Syreeta is the star, and David isn't).

I seem to remember David at the hospital getting prepped for surgery and NOPE!

I'm glad Lord Vegetarian is gone.  I get what they were going for, a reserved man who didn't really want to be married but felt obligated to be so, and I could see him and Cressida ending up together because she genuinely showed some interest in naturalism, but still.  His character could have been endearing but he's just a snooze.

Is he gone for good because I think Cressida would be perfect for him. She would get away from that awful prison of a home she is in and those parents, he is pretty nice looking and even with him gone, she would be able to "run her own life".

Since its so important for couples to produce heirs, you would think that moms would spend some time teaching their kids what sex actually is. Its not like its something you can just guess at easily without a LOT of trail and error.

I am enjoying the season so far, but Colin isn't really grabbing me the way Anthony did last season, I think he needs more of an arc outside of Penelope.

The Featherington girls are all quite pretty, its just hard to tell when they all dress like the Fruit of the Loom fruit people.

From what I have read, women were kept in the dark or just not given many details. It was assumed the men, who were "allowed" to sleep around, would know what to do.

Darn it - I really like Lord Debling and I don't want him hurt when Pen chooses Colin.

My issue with him is, while he seemed to like Pen, he wasn't going to be a very attentive husband being gone all the time. It would not be a love match.

What happend to the pretty blonde woman who came out of the limo first on the Golden Bachelor?  I think a Spanish name.  These other women had their chance.  Get a new one.  So sick of Joan, Susan, Kathy and Leslie.

Edith? Though she was more gray than blonde. She was quite lovely and looked like a good version of a woman her age.

Even if they weren't wasting money on plexus Jill would not spend the money for better food. Nurie's wedding and every event jill has at the barndo shows that. She already had to maybe pay for the little cabin venue.

The plates with the sandwiches were weirdly spaced. I bet one sandwich was divided for Sofia and Janessa to share.

    Why was Timothy even there??

I think Nurie's tea party friend from fla was shown. Surely mama has an eye on her for courtship for phillip or samuel.

Maybe she spent the food budget on the decorations? There was an awful lot of the usual crap she likes to put out there. There were mini pink dress forms. Why?

There were so many compelling and worthy women in the GB group to choose from. I can't believe this was their choice. They can filter and manipulate her press material all they want in order to entice eligible men, but their reality will be quite different in person. It's pretty sad if a woman's frozen and distorted face has come to be considered normal and attractive.

With the recent young contestants we've seen on these shows, natural beauty finally seemed to be celebrated and it was such a breath of fresh air. Joey and his women were a giant step forward, but this is a huge step back. And there was so much promise!

Agree. They are telling us that this is what a woman basically over 50 has to look like. A woman can't be real and enticing anymore?

  15. I had a former co-worker who died suddenly from a  heart attack. She was out for dinner with her son and boom, it hit. She was about 50. As far as I  know, she was in good shape and took care of herself. Sometimes, you just don't know.

It really is. We had a family friend who beat cancer at 17. A month after getting a clean bill of health, he broke his neck diving into a river and died. Reading some of the personal stories here, I'm truly sorry for anyone who lost a loved one suddenly and tragically. Life can be so unfair.

Growing up, there was a woman in our neighborhood who beat brain cancer. Several years later, she died in the plane crash (along with her small daughter) of United Airlines 232 in Sioux City Iowa. I remember it was in our local papers.
