Snark Talk: Home, Home on the (De) Ranged

Ree's chocolate confessional episode was on today and she drives me insane acting like she's so crazy for loving this stuff. OH chocolate covered potatoe chips, Ree you are so wild. -
Really upset to hear she decided to stay with him, still hoping she realizes she deserves so much better than him before they tie the knot. Lee may be on his best behavior right now to try and fool Rena, lull her back into a safe place so once they marry he can continue to be abusive. Men like him don't ever change, I've been with them and my dad was one. They are much too concerned about themselves to ever do any introspection.

Hey, just recently dove into this show and I am addicted. I'm just now getting to watch the new episode because my husband has to watch The Amazing Race and 911 on Wednesdays. At first I was definitely rooting for her but then she tried to get on the plane and now I cannot handle her. She just sits around and cries about her situation but she doesn't try to do a thing to change it. I know it's hard but come on. You have got to do some work here, Dr. Now is not a magician.

I don't mind them on Valerie because they don't clash with her hair and makeup. It's not the tops for me, it's the ghastly colors that Ree picks them in. She had a repeat of her breakfast episodes today, I swear I don't think any of her breakfast choices look appetizing. Especially when she makes super sweet stuff, that's not what I want first thing, it's like when my husband puts a ton of sugar in his morning cereal. -
@peacheslatour I've never had spaghetti squash either, I like other kinds though so I'm sure it's good, I just can't imagine it as noodles in a pasta. If I was going to make a "healthier" pasta I would use whole wheat which is also something my grandmother does. Now there's somebody who would be qualified to talk about making stuff healthy, she's been studying it and perfecting her recipes for years.
-
I would have too, I'm not a fan of sweet potato. Now I've tried cauliflower crust pizza and I find it so pretty good. I think Katie said her recipe for that was one of their most searched.
-
I didn't see all the episode but I'm just not a fan of substituting pasta noodles with zucchini or any kind of squash. I just don't enjoy it, though my grandfather loves my grandmother's spaghetti squash pasta dishes. Ree just doesn't bring anything inventive to the health food scene, the stuff she presents is stuff I've been seeing chefs on FN and my grandmother doing for years.
-
@bichonblitz I did too, which is why I brought it up. I just thought the way she said it both times was way too pointed for it to just be a statement in general. I wish they would replace both her and Jeff, I like GZ and Katie most of the time, the other two are just too obnoxious.
-
I watched their healthy episode today and wasn't sure how healthy some of their recipes were. Also does Sunny have some kind of beef with people who have a gluten intolerance? Because she was making a lot of comments about it.

I can't handle the way she pronounces balsamic, it is so irritating. She knows how to say it correctly, she just chooses not to (she said herself on her Facebook I'm pretty sure). I thought her cake she made today looked a little off and not at all like something Ladd would eat. That powdered sugar is much too delicate for a cowboy like him! lol

Her healthy episodes kill me, it's the same gross combinations every single time. Plus she acts like eating healthy is just for women and that men don't have to. Please feed your male children some vegetables for goodness sake! You can tell Ree almost never eats that stuff though, she seems more awkward than ever during those segments. -

@lucygoose Ree believes it looks wonderful so it must. I mean look at her food concoctions, I don't think she would take the advice if she did get it. Looks like we are going to see Ree's version of healthy foods again this weekend, it's a new year's resolution weekend. Which also will include her exciting walks with the dogs most likely. -

Happy 2018, all, hope it finds you well! @Lura I know, those colors clash so badly with her hair, you think someone would have told her by now. If you watch early episodes her hair is a pretty brown color, she really should have kept that, its much more flattering. One of her many freezer episodes was on today, you think that woman would never have to cook anything fresh the way she freezes things. I've been meaning to say must she use those chipotle peppers in adobe sauce in every dish she makes? I wait for it to show up every episode.
