  1. Per Rachel on her Instagram, the youngest daughter, wasn't there because she didn't have a passport. Apparently, she/they were not told that it would be a "whole family" visit until after Tyson left. By then, it was too late to get the passport for Marlowe because Tyson had left for Fiji already, and Rachel and Tyson both had to sign the passport application. Also, Marlowe was just 10 months old, and Rachel wasn't sure how traveling with a 10 month old and a 3 year old would go.
  2. My interpretation is that QEII's visit (and that dance) gave Kwame Nkrumah legitimacy as the first President of the new Republic. In the context of the story on The Crown, I interpreted the whole trip as a massively positive PR event for this country that the Queen would actually visit and go so far as to dance with him, considering Ghana went full republic a year earlier (after already voting to change from a monarchy to an independent Commonwealth with the Queen as Governor-General status a couple years earlier). The story implies that QEII's visit was such a success that Ghana decided to keep the US/UK involved in the dam project, and prevented the USSR from gaining a foothold in a brand new nation. Just my interpretation of The Crown's version versus what little history I know about the two countries' relationship.
  3. I'm glad someone else feels this way! I just rewatched this episode and I still got my dander up when she lumped an elderly, chronically ill Churchill into the loser pile. Churchill was no Eden or MacMillan!
  4. The crazy thing is that she managed to put on 5 lbs before the game began, according to her conversation with Medical. I suspect she has a hell of a metabolism. Ah, to be young and able to eat like that again! Because it must be said, Savage is just an ass. And I'm over that hat already.
  5. I found it on the CBS website under the extra video section, not in the Ponderosa section directly below. Ran into it by accident this morning.
  6. I too viewed the scene in the same way on the rewatch. On the rewatch, I paid more attention to the cut itself, and then the tone of voice, and The Spousal Unit and I could make an argument that he might have been telling tales of the Dearly Departed Drew. Obviously, we'll know for sure on Wednesday, but after the rewatch, I definitely thought this theory has some legs to it.
