Isn't that a policy in rehab places? My dad was in a rehab after he had a stroke, and he was supposed to get dressed every day, and spend time out of bed, even if it was sitting in a chair.

Both of my parents spent time in rehab, and YES getting dressed and out of bed every day was not optional.

What a shame for a doctor to have to hector a patient to wash and keep clean. How does Sean not slither out of that SUV of a wheelchair and melt into the woodwork?
I saw a yellow/brown stain on his sheets when the aide/bathers came in. Eeuuuww.

Need the 🤮 icon for this!

    Reese's Pieces.

    I won't even buy them.

An open bag is an empty bag.

But PB M&Ms are delicious also.

Sigh.  This talk of yummy candy is leading me to decide the Dr Now approved foods can wait until Monday.

Everything about him is annoying - his look, his voice, his attitude.   His mother made him this way, but couldn't he have taken the chance to change when he started therapy with Dr. Paradise?

He’s a disgusting, unpleasant version of Eeyore.

In this case,  his mother destroyed him to the point that he is incapable of fixing himself.

I don’t know, I have heard of people overcoming horrible childhoods and young adulthoods to become functional human beings.  Sean had no desire to grow up, therefore being “incapable” suits him perfectly.

All he needs is a diaper and he'd be a perfect Baby Huey.   Pretty sad when he has to be told that he needs to keep clean.

Why doesn't he have a home health aide?  It's amazing that I've lived alone 40+ years and coped and made intelligent food choices.  It's really sad how Sean's mom totally crippled him emotionally, I don't remember much about his dad, but it doesn't sound like he really has any interest in being in the picture.bavt.jpg.547d0623cf1446911ab50a9f05122f71.jpg

Nope, Baby Huey was cute and had redeeming qualities.  Sean was/did not.

  7. I have been practicing my 600 pounder eating habit (sans fast food).  Tonight was a salmon burger, fried potato/peppers/onion on the side.  Now all the workmen have left the house I have no excuse for my “stress eating”!  Plus my clothes are really getting tight so it’s back to Dr. Now approved food from tomorrow.

I've been re-watching his first three episodes this weekend, as prep for this week's new episode. And I've found that as bad as Sean's mother was, he was pretty bad himself. And his father was awful. His father really bailed on him when he was supposed to be helping him to prepare to relocate to a smaller apartment. While it's true that Sean was making the process difficult by not wanting to throw things away, his father should not have just thrown in the towel and split. He should have had some serious conversations with his son, and try to get him to see the light. But I guess then he would have been a different person.

I have some sympathy for Dad.  I would have simply thrown away the crap and let Sean throw a tantrum over it.

Well, you could always reply to those messages, and use the angry emoji's available in the composition window, such as: 😠 👿 😡 ‼️

    [Just joking!]

All excellent emoji representations of how I (and probably most of us) feel about Lee.

  10. Finally watched the whole episode today.  My favourite Dr Now quote was when she protested how hard she was working and he told her “Your perception doesn’t match the reality of your eating habit.”

Sure enough, when she began using measuring spoons and a food scale she lost a lot of weight!

Janine reminded me of that other Poundticipant whose name eludes me who took up with her high school ex-boyfriend and couldn't keep his name out of her mouth for a second.

Erica.  I don’t think she uttered a single sentence that did not include “Jimmy”.
