  1. I recall the number of times Liz called out Franco for keeping something from her, calling it lying.  I guess it's OK when she does it.

Can't recall if Finn ever slept with her, I think not?  So he would think the pregnancy he suspects was to someone else?

Another mystery child to Heather!  LOL two babies born offscreen.  Good thing she was not on the show all those years.

This is where I am, too. Michael doesn't need another person telling him he's the bestest ever, and given how Michael has forgiven Sonny for killing AJ (the real reason he should have a forever grudge against Sonny, not this inane reason with Nina), Dex and Michael should be at odds. But that will never happen, just as Carly won't be held accountable for her behavior toward AJ. Dr. Drewfus will force Dex to see her side of things. Ugh. No, thanks. Let Dex be some rando who's working out his guilt from being in the service.

Uh, writers? This is why not everyone on the show should be related to someone else on the show.

It would be better to make Dex the son of someone Sonny killed that is not related, as it would be easily believable that Sonny killed someone nobody cares about.  His deeds coming back to haunt him is a likely thing, too.

  3. If Cody was adopted by the Bells, with a legal adoption decree, then all parental rights of biological parents are terminated.  No inheritance by and through, unless specific in a will and then it's to a non-relative.  Maybe this is to show how stupid Cody is.  Or it might be the writers who are the stupid ones.

And what is Nik's obsession over stealing this spawn? Yeah, it's his. So fucking what? Let Esme have it, raise it, dump it, whatever. It's not as if they had a relationship. It was a one night stand, right? I was on The Barge, so don't know if they boinked more than once.

Just once.  Nik said he wanted another child and was used to be a single dad.  Esme is evil, so he'll get custody.  So he's just seeing an opportunity.

Nikolas only slept with Esme once and he’s regretted that shit ever since. It’s the Laura in him that’s starting to make him feel paternal towards the baby. I need his cassadine side that locked Esme up in the first place to override that and get rid of the baby and Esme. Wyndemere has plenty of stairs for her to be thrown down or a second fall off the parapet will do.

Maybe it would take 3 times, that's the charm?

  5. Forgoing bonuses to keep a company afloat - if the company is struggling, why would bonuses be on the table.

Elizabeth had me going there.  When she said there were signs of fetal distress, I thought maybe Esme was not faking it.  Elizabeth had Nikolas going, too.  This show rarely gets me laughing out loud, but when Esme stood up, suddenly just fine, it did.

It seems like maybe show is trying to get us to start to like Esme, with her talking to "Ace," and smiling about the kicking.

Does cam work alone at Kelly's? Where is the cook? Where are the waiters?

Do extras cost so much?  That's the only reason I can think of for leaving that set that way.  Maybe at least some dialogue about how he is closing up or the first one there to open up would help.

Portia said it was odd that Curtis would have no markers at all, so it should occur to her that maybe Hatman should be tested, because he could have been mistakenly diagnosed, as black people were overdiagnosed with schizophrenia.

And there is MB's son again?

Trina, when you're visiting someone in a dangerous prison, maybe don't zip down your sweater till they can see your bra.

I'm impressed that Austin knows when the new Beaujolais comes out.

I dislike nepotism.  I even thought I saw similar acting ticks.

I thought the same about Trina - I went to see a client in prison awhile back.  I had an underwire bra, and they would not let me in with that.  Nor a bra with metal fasteners.  They sold sports bras at a dollar store down the street - the place likely keeps them stocked as they are in high demand from women visiting for the first time who don't know about this.  Braless was not going to be allowed either.  So I'd think a jail would have made Trina zip up the sweater!

Austin said he once dated someone who would not stop talking about wine.  Guess those lines were to help break the ice between Austin and Britt to lead to the deep conversation soon after.

That’s how I feel about it too.  Willow and TJ have done nothing to indicate they are having an affair, Nina saw them hugging, friends hug like calm down. However Willow and Michael are so awful I don’t even care.

And the thing Michael should be angry about would be Willow "lying" to him by not telling him about the cancer.  Given that standard, that should be the bigger problem.

    5 hours ago, Gemini2989 said:

Because Nik doesn’t want Laura to know Esme is who he had the affair with. Laura would want to know how and why Victor would be blackmailing Nikolas to divorce Ava and that would make Nikolas have to tell her about the confession letter. He could of easily told Laura who the other woman was when he told her he cheated but he left that detail out deliberately.

Now that Nikolas did not murder Esme, nor did Ava, that letter I guess is meaningless.

I'm assuming Cody has now 35 million reasons to wanna stay Leopold's son.

Legally he would still be Leopold's son, but on this show I guess a DNA test alone changes the relationship.  Or maybe Cody is just too dumb to realize that.

I was rewatching those years on YouTube and Bad Girl Liz was so ridiculous but adorable. Nothing she did made that much sense but it was fun. I do think her parents pretty much suck. Not only were they not there when she was raped as a child (I remember her making Audrey swear not to tell them but they did find out at some point), they didn’t bother to show up when her son died or miraculously came back to life.

If it has been Carly, they would have been there.  Interesting they did not kill the parents off.  They must have intended to bring them in, then got distracted with mob stories and haven't gotten around to it until now, making the parents look worse.

I guess I find it a stretch that they would be that bad (parents abandoning their child basically for their work, not for addiction or mental health, plus it was 2 people making that decision ). I know that was the plot all those years ago but it was it just laziness of writing or not wanting to recast that kept that theme going all these years? Kind of like Lucky not coming to visit his kids because they dont want to recast JJ.  Doesn't make sense to me.🤷‍♀️

And they recast Lucky twice, and he had been more recent.

I was watching when Liz came on.  Sarah came first.  I suppose she could have been left with the same couple?  But in the summer she came to see Audrey.  Then Liz showed up. The parents were called and said Liz could stay with Sarah and Audrey if she got a job.  She got a job at Kelly's.  Lucky had a thing for Sarah and Liz had a thing for Lucky.  Finally Lucky saw the light and liked Liz.

Sarah dated Nikolas.  Liz put condoms in a bag of Sarah's so she would be embarrassed when Nik found them.  Liz also stole test answers from a teacher.  She was a real brat, spending Gram's money on pizza and smoking.  Then the rape happened, and that changed her.

Funny thing was, at the time, no one thought much about the parents.  Liz and Sarah were fine and into their new adventures.

Liz did go to see her parents for one of RH's maternity leaves.  They were always conveniently there to go offscreen to.  So it's not quite true that they have never paid her attention in so long.  But the writers know they can make it look that way.

Sarah went to the parents too, both times she was written out.

Wasn't there some video sent to them by The Insider that showed Jennifer's wedding? It was held in some rec hall-looking place with paper streamers every where. They watched it and pointed out various people they knew and they saw Jennifer dancing with their father. They were very disappointed in Jennifer and talked about how their father gave her exactly what she wanted to draw her back to The Order. But I agree with you; Jennifer played her sisters to get married to her boyfriend/cousin/half-brother. She wasn't a good enough actress to pull off the anguish of wanting to REALLY leave.

All I could think of was - how soon before her husband gets another wife?  Or maybe Jennifer accepts that.

I was thinking how annoying it would be to do all that work to help someone leave and then have them go back.

The mother, Lori, who went back chided her daughter as being just as controlling for arguing, which I thought an unfair accusation, as it is entirely different.  The man she "loves" controls a lot more of her daily life than her daughter trying to persuade her that it is better to be out of the cult.

On 8/16/2018 at 12:41 PM, Galloway Cave said:

Same here and I don't know how Matt and the girls (especially Kolleen) didn't just flat out tell that girl to knock it off. I know she was brainwashed to think the was God's Chosen one and she shits glitter, but once off the compound her mother was the decision maker and in control. That would have helped the mother feel more empowered to control the situation and make a better decision over their future, instead of going back.

I had the same thought - the mother should tell her this is for her own good and she'll thank her one day.  But that is not the way the mother was.  Shanell was so kind and understanding, that I went with that, because I have not been through anything like that.

The stuff they take - that is true, I'd take only a bag.  There was an episode where someone forgot their driver's license and they had to go back for it at great risk of running into whoever was returning from church.

There's a Netflix show "Be Sweet."  It is about leaving the FDLS.  One escapee packed her stuff into a U-haul type trailer, and her brother drove it down the road ahead of her.  At one point, the trailer door failed and it opened and all other stuff flew out onto the road and got run over by trucks.  She took is philosophically, as accenting her new beginning!  She had packed up some of the pastel dresses, so that symbolism worked.

  12. Do we know why Victor wants Ava and Nikolas divorced?  It's getting repetitive.

I recall because of Todd/Starr, RH was known to be good with children.  I was watching AWTW when they went out of the way to give his Paul stories with kids.  So that maybe explains the Georgie issue.

Holly to Anna;  "What is it this time?"  LOL.  Holly has some clothes already - guess they went shopping offscreen.

Yes and there are parts of the beach in California where they could have reasonably faked it. It was like they went up past Malibu to find the rockiest beach.

BL is trash. Normally I don’t mind schemers but Chase is such a puppy dog and has made it clear more than once that he wants nothing more than to be a cop again. Also, what exactly is stopping him from being a singer part time if he truly ends up liking it? This show has had plenty of singers with day job, like her own father for instance. I don’t understand the scheme with Linc anyway or what her plan is.I

Though maybe he should consider it more, since how many times has he punched people? Maybe he shouldn't be a cop.

Its fine if she's outgrown him, but if she has, she needs to own up to that and let him go rather than string him along while she pants after another guy.  It's pretty clear that the writers are going for Joss/Dex, so I really wish that it's not Cam who does something wrong and gets dumped but that it's organic and they both realize they're done.

I think she does not realize it yet.   She thinks she is on her anti-Sonny mission and now has a savior complex, due to two different incidents where she "saved" someone.

Giving me Emily vibes, where she prefers the guy in trouble over the stable, good guy, so she can be involved in a drama and "save" someone.

  15. Ava does not have to fire Trina.  Just tell her not to come to the gallery until the killer is caught.  I hate their interference with either lovers or friends with this kind of fake rejection.

It could be Dex did not see anything, but he might have heard something.   But by now he should know not to get blood on his hands.  Sonny torturing someone is going to raise sympathy for them.  Probably what show is trying to do.

I also don’t like the predatory nature of this whole Victor/Lucy story.  Victor has always been suave and debonair, and kind of comical.  Like he was above it all.  I don’t like this turn at all.

It would have been better had Lucy been unattached, Victor suave and debonair, leaving it a mystery.  A better story anyway.

Reese was born Charlotte Robert and grew up with Caroline Benson. Reese 's nickname back then was Carly (makes no sense to me when Charlie would make more sense)When they were both 16, Reese found Carly in bed with her father. She blamed Carly saying that she always wanted everything in her life and not her father who was the adult and had known Carly since she was a little girl and still underage.

They had a big fight, Reese got into a horrible car accident. Her mom told everyone that she died and Carly was haunted by what happened that she would be unable to drive. Mom also divorced dad and dad became an alcoholic and killed himsellf.

After the accident, Reese had a ton of reconstructive surgery and changed her name. She blamed Carly for everything that happened. She would eventually join the FBI and get assigned to finding the kidnapped Corinthii children and nailing Sonny (which she ends up doing like all the other FBI brunettes assigned to Sonny).

She was a horrible character that no one mourned.

Thank you for that!  Very odd that her mother calls her Reese, but then they had to make sure that the lines were clear as to who she was talking about.

I recall now that Carly did not drive - how she had to get rides.  Show does not make much of that now - she could always Uber.

Heck, it would get caught when they go to get the license! Assuming that such mundane things apply in PC. I get that someone would be ticked off that their former partner didn't submit the papers, but if you want something done right, do it yourself, as my mother used to say. :-)

And he was the one who initiated the divorce.  It seems they did it without lawyers, too.  If the lawyers drew up the agreements and the petition, then they'd have made sure it came to a decree.  Another reason this is a non-drama.

Also Curtis, aka the Most Honest Man In The World, have you told Portia about your deal with Miss Woo? It's possible he did because I may watch every day but that doesn't mean I pay attention.

Also while Baby Jason annoy me, I wouldn't mind if he and Kristina hooked up just to piss Joss off, and it needs to happen right after Cam dumps Joss because of her secrets about Baby Jason which he finds out about when Trina is arguing with Joss about her lack of honesty with Cam.

    #FreeCam now!

Also does Reese's Mother know that she didn't die way back when? Do the writers even know there was a Reese? TFGH

I had the same thought when Kristina and Baby Jasus had the conversation.  That would bother Joss.  Though she can't lose, but it could happen for awhile.

I don't know how Reese name could be Carly Roberts but everyone is calling her Reese.  Wasn't watching at the time.

i don't get why they are called Karens.
    poor Karen. :(

IMO it is the age group.  It is my age group, and the name was so popular, we had four Karens in my second grade class.  Now they are middle aged.  So a woman of that age - her most likely or most common name is Karen.  Lisa was second.  My parents said they considered "Lisa" for me - so glad they picked something else.  Among my best friends in high school, the top 4?  One is a Karen and one is a Lisa.

It also struck me that Carly was acting like a Karen in the airport lounge.  The weather is prohibitive of flight, and the girl said you aren't going anywhere.  What's the point of bugging her about something she can't change, or blaming "Jacksonville" for it, or the airline, or anyone?  So entitled Carly.

The constant phone calls were stupid.  Drew was in prison awhile, maybe that is why he does not know there are apps with flight progress and news?  And that Carly is dippy enough to lose her phone, or let it drain of power?

They tape the show in “blocks”, i.e., film all the scenes with certain actors and certain locations for the next few weeks all at once.  Saves time and money.  So these scenes with the temp Michael were all filmed during the same time as the last batch, when Chad was out sick.

Odd how a scene from this far into the future made it into the same block.  When I saw him approach, he looked familiar, but it took a moment to realize he was Michael.
