Look I hate Michael and Willow as much as the next guy, but they are fit(ish) parents and if they want to keep Nina away, well, that should be up to them.
Each state has its own laws. In at least mine, likely others, it is very difficult for the grandparent, with a high evidentiary bar. The judge might warn people they need to work out there problems, as judge has to deny visitation, but it's not a good thing for the child not to know grandparents. The grandparents might be toxic, but the adult child can at other times be immature over little things or using the child to control the grandparent.

ha, too bad they are divorced - she was off the show awhile having a third child!
It would be a drag, I would think, to work with the same person all day and then go home to that same person.
A Nathan recast would be interesting, since he'd be with Maxie too, with the same face as Peter. But they are brothers. That could make them twins. LOL.

Those who want WR to play Carly's next love interest (do they want to hear him read Ayn Rand to her in the bath as LW posted in real life?) should know that not every real life couple has the chemistry of Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. More often than not, they're duds on screen together.
There was a married couple playing major characters on ATWT for years, and the actress asked never to be paired with her husband's character. She said she got all giggly around him!

Especially when it is over the vaccine - it's not planned like before. Did they desert GH for Y&R during that time? Doesn't seem to have affected the ratings then? In which case, why don't TIIC see that it is in fact not a big deal and that they don't have to keep Jasus or Mooby on forever.

LOL at Willow being amazed that the State Department has no record of her birth. Who writes this stuff? States issue birth certificates, not the federal government.
Harmony forged the certificate successfully, or is it not recorded? But there is a way, as Tara who wrote "Educated" finally was able to get her passport, though there was no birth certificate at all.
I guess Harmony never thought about legal adoption, which could have worked perfectly well in the circumstances.
Agree TMI to their adult children about their sex lives. SLS and Joss should not hear about Sonny and Nina.
Joss called Spencer spoiled and entitled. It takes one to know one.

Ned and Austin are one generation down, sharing 1/8th DNA (that would be first cousins once removed). Brook Lynn is one generation down from that, sharing 1/16th of Edward's genes with Austin.
Brook Lynn as a ship for Austin doesn't make sense right now when Britt and Maxie are better options. But not impossible down the line since they weren't raised together and don't share enough DNA to matter. Any ick factor would be cultural .
I had to research cousin marriage and was surprised that it is legal to marry a first cousin in some US states. Others won't allow such a marriage but will recognize one from another state. Others won't allow it and won't recognize those of another state (I forget how this ruling got around the Full Faith and Credit Clause).
There is no state that prohibits marriages further away than first cousin. A first cousin once removed is far enough away, at least for the states. Churches may have other prohibitions.
So legally Austin and BLQ are far enough apart. I agree they don't share much DNA. Austin was not known to anybody until recently. It would be weird to be involved with the daughter of one's first cousin even so. The whole idea is that they are all Quartermaines. Somewhat like the UK royal family, who would marry amongst themselves, their third cousins or closer. Victoria and Albert were first cousins. Even Elizabeth II and Philip were both descendants of Queen Victoria.

It was funny to see that Valentine learned they could not get BLQ on paternity fraud - while Nina could be gotten for fraud on what she did. I guess PA soap law is different from NY soap law.
Remarks about kids are general to the point of silly - the Q refrigerator would not be the place, in a house like that, where you'd put kid art. Doesn't cook not allow them in the kitchen?
Sam talking about Alexis and then her own prison sentence - like mother, like daughter. They've both been in prison. Then to a scene with Brad talking about his stint. What a town - any person is as likely to have been in prison as not.

I remember someone calling it "TV fat." Like you'd be considered normal by everyone and not fat, but by Hollywood standards and on TV, that size would be called "fat."

When Michael said he could not think of anything worse (than Nina keeping amnesiac Sonny from them) I thought immediately of how his child was kept from him. But it figures that Michael would think not having Sonny, even one that doesn't know him, is worse than not having his own child.
It is nice that in Soap World lawyers can appear in any state without a pesky new bar exam. It seems Scott can appear in PA courts no problem. Maybe he went through the process to take advantage of the reciprocity with PA and NY bars. Naw, he can just appear wherever he wants to.

When Carly talked about being there for Sasha, it felt strange. I haven't seen that Carly is such a close friend of Sasha. It really did seem like shoehorning her in, even as a supportive friend where it wouldn't be about her. When is her vacation? :)

I bet there is a lack of long term planning by the writers. This couple should have been happily married and then lost this baby like this. Now it does not impact them that much. Are they going to have a story where they end up falling in love after this experience? Or just drift apart, as they weren't that close before. I certainly hope the former since otherwise the story is completely pointless. This experience made them closer, so that at least would provide some sort of basis for it.

Sonny goes up to Britt and demands that she tell him when Brando/Sasha can take their baby home. He has no right to any information.
All the talk of car keys on Cassadine Island made me wonder where the cars are kept. They have to take a boat to the mainland, so they have to be there.
In that second Peter stopped talking, I knew Carly was going to slap him.
When the guard mentioned Laura as mayor, I had to laugh. She's been gone so long. Who acted in her place? Or, is a mayor really necessary? Maybe Sonny runs everything.

When they were lamenting "Jason is gone and he's never coming back" I had to laugh. Hasn't he already come back from the dead once?
I would hope in reality that no mother would be kept away from her newborn in such circumstances.

Each time they try to push Sonny/Jason as charitable givers, like giving the AIDs wing or now this bridge, it reminds me they paid for it with ill gotten gains. Money that other people should still have.

They told Valentin he wasn’t the father because Gladys was going to spill the truth, so BL was backed into a corner. Chase saving the day was spur of the moment. Maybe if he hadn’t barged in Brook would’ve told him everything, but of course we can’t have that. On a show where Peter is still breathing, I expect this stupid lie to linger long passed it’s expiration date.

When Valentine finally learns the whole truth, he'll be even madder at Brook. He could offer Maxie to act as father, when he finds out Peter is the actual father, hopefully meaning Peter is really dead, though we can't put it past show to have a Peter vs. Valentine arc.

According to Port Charles standards, Sonny is "lying" to Carly about his thing with Nina in NF.
This story with Chase claiming to the father is frustrating. Why not tell Valentine the whole story - he would be a lot less angry than he is. Though that would make him wonder where Brooklyn's baby is, so she'd have to tell him that part, too. I don't even recall why they bothered, then, to tell Valentine he is not the father.
IMO the total reveal would be better than including this stage where Chase is the father.
