Delores being ok with Tre not inviting her to the engagement party is all kinds of f'ed up. She's just as far up Tre's ass as Jennifer is. Also, I'm not understanding the rift between Delores and Jennifer. Something else must have happened between them off camera.

I think Delores didn't like how Jennifer played victim when Delores told her to stop crying (about the Bill affair I believe). It looked like a mean moment to the viewers, but Delores explained that there was context. She and Jennifer had had a conversation before that event, that wasn't filmed, where Jennifer told Delores to not let her cry or words to that effect.

So then they're filming and Jennifer starts crying, Delores tells her to stop or don't do that. Then Jennifer starts using it as a storyline about how mean and inappropriate Delores was to her. Beyond that she then went on social media as the shows started airing and played up her victim (of Delores being mean to her) role for the viewing public.  So Delores has been getting angry and that's what she was talking about in this part 1.  And even after Delores gave this explanation, Jennifer was doubling down on deflection and "it's not my fault" mode.

I think this was a good example of why many of the others came into this season not wanting to film with Jennifer. She's pretty stealth at playing the game.

Melissa dancing in the middle of the street: she is the one who is thirsty for attention.

I thought that was pretty funny as it was clear she was very drunk and Melissa does not generally get loose and let go. Now I say that as someone who is likes Melissa, so there's that.

Well the one I am FB friends with, don't want to give up too much info but she had a pretty normal family life as far as I could tell.

I'm imagining how that parent started out the season posting all sorts of proud-parent things on FB about Ashley being on the show. And then having those posts peter out as the season went on and they realized that perhaps they didn't want to be publicly claiming all of that?

I guess my opinion of Ashley is worse than my opinion of Gary - apparently, I still have a level of double standards when it comes to this type of situation.  Or, maybe because, at least with Gary, I believe he will back off when someone turns him down, where Ashley just keeps going in harder and harder, thereby, looking totally desperate.

Gary is the feckless man whore, is totally aware of who and what he is, he is also a good deckhand. He probably does not understand why he has become the gold standard as the one to "get" for the women on board and frankly I don't either.

I think the second of these from BB is why I'm liking Ashley less. Her wanting Gary is all about some imaginary competition with the other women on the boat. She didn't like being 3rd to Gabi's 2nd stew, but only became downright nasty to her after Gary started showing an interest in Ashley. She even said at some point that she hoped the new deck hand would appeal to Gabi so she'd leave Gary for her to "win". And that's what it's all about. Proving to herself she's somehow the hottest, most desirable of the women on board. And much as I dislike her, I do also sort of pity her for that fact.

As to Gary, he is what he is, but I haven't seen him be competitive or jealous or anything. Not saying I love him, but mostly just find him sort of there in all his Gary-ness. When I think of him vs someone like Joau (spelling?) and his raging misogyny? Not even close

Colin's reaction to Gabriella asking if he wanted to drink alone was the only time he's been close to anger on camera.  He's always nursing a beer, but he's never blackout drunk like the rest of them.

That was truly where I lost any sympathy for Gabi. Her weird attempts at joking that the villa was her house and they were all her guests was strange and awkward and veered into rude. But her ordering Colin to fetch a couple beers when she sat down with them? Like what the heck? She could have ameliorated her effect by asking him to get the beer so she could talk to Ashley alone, but actually it was just that she thought he should get her a beer. This after she had been up and about and could have got one herself before joining them.

Still think there's good stuff about Gabi (as opposed to Ashley, of whom I'm not sure there is), but boy did she shoot herself in the foot over and over again, almost compulsively.

I feel like every season is going to feature a woman throwing herself at George Russell as long as he continues to smolder.

I love George and Bertha as a couple and certainly don't want them broken up or for him to cheat, etc. etc. But boy his chemistry with all the women? Each time he interacts with someone I'm thinking oooh what if that turned into something. George and Aurora, George and Mrs. Chamberlain, George and Aunt Agnes (there was the moment when she crashed the lunch and he invited her to stay).

And to reiterate I do not want George to cheat. But I would love it if, when Mrs. Chamberlain's son comes to town, he's every bit as charismatic.

In thinking about it the only other guy on the show who interests me, and I'm likely at a table for one on this, is Oscar. He's not the most handsome, but he's sarcastic and witty and confident, so I like that. I don't like his plan for Gladys, but I do get that this is a choice a man in his position at that time would make.

I think I could like Aurora's husband but we've had so little of him, who knows.

That would be great! I'm thinking if they bring Turner back, it will be in a position that would make George accessible to her.

I've wondered how Marian is getting dressed - doesn't seem to have a lady's maid and I know Miss Armstrong isn't helping. Maybe Turner gets hired into the Van Rihn household? I'm mostly being facetious, but it would put Turner back in George's vicinity.

edited to add: Just remembered that Agnes thought Turner was having an affair with Oscar so my farfetched idea is a no go. 😉
