I honestly think it looks like a mix of both, I for sure saw some rookies and the formations are new so they filmed it recently. They also did some throwbacks. Not sure exactly why they did both 🤷‍♀️

Previous game here she is again next to Alanna and Cianna: Kat was in between Alora Rose and Jessica for this game: Also in the Thunderstruck video I'm pretty sure I saw at least 2 rookies (Sydney and Elli) so they probably did film some this year with the new girls.

A while ago I wondered which hairstyle TPTB would choose for Sydney because on her previous team she switched hair all the time, and historically DCC gives them each a single 'look' Seems as though they have let her continue to change it up: Training camp: Game 1: Game 2: I wonder what hair she has in her cameo

So the groups are: (just guessing on group numbers) 1: Maddie (GL1), Ashlee (GL2), Rachel A, Lisa, Chandi, Kelcey, McKenzie 2: Lexie (GL1), Amber (GL2), Darian, Jalyn, Kristin, Briana, Marissa, Savannah 3: Gina (GL1), Caroline (GL2), Victoria, Alora Rose, Jessica, Madeline, Armani, Claire 4: Tess (GL1), Rachel W (GL2), Elli, Cianna, Sydney, Alanna, Dani, Taylor, Jada, Erin @lemonbus230 I have to be wrong about someone in Tess' group since there should only be 9 girls and not 10, do you know which one? Also I don't know what groups Amanda, Daphne, and Kat are in. The rookies seem uneven like they forgot to rearrange them after cuts.

Ok so I've stared at all of the videos because I'm nuts lol I think the order of the girls was like this: Deck 1: Amber, Savannah, Marissa, Briana, Kristin, Jalyn, Darian, Lexie, Maddie, Rachel A, Lisa, Chandi, Kelcey, McKenzie, Ashlee Deck 2: Victoria, Alora Rose, Jessica, Madeline M, Armani, Claire, Gina, Rachel W, Elli, Cianna, Sydney, Alanna, Dani, Taylor, Jada, Erin Obviously Caroline, Tess, Daphne, and Kat had to sit out, but I cannot figure out where Amanda is. Was she even at the game?

On her instagram post Kristin commented "look who's back as a leader" and her sister also commented about her being a group leader.

Ok theory time... I think the group leaders are Maddie and Ashlee, Lexie and Amber, Gina and Caroline, Tess and Rachel W. Lexie and Ashlee are confirmed to be leaders from instagram comments, and I think someone posted here earlier with all the lake stuff that Tess and Caroline are also confirmed. The way the decks are set up makes me think that GL1 is in the middle end of their group and GL2 is on the outside edge. Videos have shown that Lexie and Maddie are next to each other in the middle of the line and Amber and Ashlee are on their respective ends. The other deck is more interesting because Caroline and Tess had to sit out. So Gina is in the middle but Caroline is gone leaving Victoria on the end and they moved Rachel W. to the middle to replace Tess for this game, and I don't know who was on that end for this game. I'm interested to see if my theory is confirmed at the next game.

Previously it was said that the girls made to dance for their lives during camp were Jessica, Alora Rose, Tori, Kristin, Briana, Lily, Hannah, and Brennan. To be honest based on the videos of the game Jessica and Alora Rose should have been cut and Hannah and Brennan should have been kept (or at least Tori!). Obviously those girls are going to be the season's strugglers which makes it doubly annoying that they cut good vets.

Erin Alanna Rachel W Gina? McKenzie McKenzie Jada McKenzie Marissa Amber and Savannah

From this video and others posted on Facebook I can tell that the order of girls in this video is Victoria, Alora Rose, Jessica, Madeline, Armani, Claire, Gina?, maybe Rachel W, and then I can't tell after that. They all look pretty good in this video but Alora Rose and Jessica especially stumbled a lot during actual game time I think partially because they couldn't hear the music very well. This post shows Rookies McKenzie, Jada, and Marissa.

I think the girl next to Ashlee in that story is McKenzie? She has shorter hair and if they made her hair warmer rather than the ashy blonde it was (I hope so) then I think it is her. It looks so off because Ashlee went the wrong way with her hair flip. Also it looks like Claire is a redhead (yay!!) you can see her and Jessica behind Savannah in this video

Overall it looks like most of them might be having trouble hearing the music as they are all a bit off and some girls look like they are stumbling, maybe the decks are slipperier than they are used to?

She's always been referred to as both by TPTB, but now with Madeline M they tend to call her Maddie more. The DCC has always been somewhat weird with nicknames like Bess was always officially Elizabeth and Jax was Jaclyn. I think it depends on what name they use at auditions.

Last year they announced the retiring vets on the first game day but didn't officially announce the rookies or put up the team photo until the finale episode of the show had aired. I doubt this year will be different although last year they weren't nearly as secret about who was in camp or on the field and the girls themselves could post about it after meet the team. I'm hoping that they let the new rookies post about it after this game but who knows.

I seriously don't understand why Victoria does that to her hair on purpose. She would look so much better with straight hair that isn't teased to the point of being a birds nest.

I still think she's cute lol. Also I think it's kinda ironic that you pulled a pic where her caption is all about self love and accepting your flaws without makeup or filters, and empowering others as well.

Did Marshall even do anything besides part Jessica's hair differently?
