Talking head I think? Like those mini interviews in the show

Last year the first diamond was Amy at point, Lexie and Maddie at the sides, and Gina in back. The second diamond was Maddie at point, Tess and Lexie at the sides, and Amy in back. So I think the most logical thing to do would be to keep all the girls that have already been in the diamond (Gina, Maddie, Lexie, and Tess). I'd probably put Gina and Lexie on the sides and Tess in back just based on height and hair color. I could see them rotating between these girls and hopefully putting Gina at point in the begining. Ashlee, Caroline, Rachel W, and Amber were close up in the triangle last year and could also be contenders. We all know Victoria will be point but not until next year when Maddie retires and she can have it all to herself for the next 10 years she is on the squad lol.

I'd believe it hahaha, but also a know a ton of regular non-DCC girls that just use instagram to show off how hot they are in different outfits and not to share anything about their lives.

Ok so I'm 23, I use instagram and other social media a lot and I know how organizations want to control their image even through the private instagrams of their members. As I have said before I was in a sorority in college. They required us to all allow a specific account to follow us even if our instagrams were private. This account was run by the standards committee and would give out warnings if girls posted things that were not in line with the image of the sorority or against the rules (like drinking in a sorority letter shirt). If girls got too many warnings they might get sanctions like not being able to attend the next party or something. I expect that DCC is very similar to what I experienced. They likely have a member of their social media/marketing team following each of the girls and making sure that they are posting within the standards that I'm sure they are told about in their rules binder. Likely things they are told not to do are chugging alcohol and posting about it, anything more risqué than a bikini pic, and no un-authorized images in the DCC uniform. This is a pretty standard thing that organizations do in the era of social media and as someone in the age demographic of DCC I personally don't find this to be weird or insidious. They likely can't force anyone to have a public instagram if they don't want to since they are personal and not official accounts like their twitters, but most of these girls like the attention otherwise they wouldn't be DCC. Some level of media control is likely in their contracts (along with rules like not dating players), because even if you lock down your account and make it super private, anyone who you do allow to follow you can take a screenshot and share it outside of your account. The DCC are very protective of their image especially after things like Whitney's blackface. I don't doubt that group leaders and longer tenure DCC report to K&J about anything wild but I highly highly doubt that is the main way that the girl's media presences are controlled.

The comment in question (I think) was from Amelia Wood who said Victoria's dancing was amazing and Vicky replied back that she was so excited to meet her. As far as I can tell, Amelia Evans who was the girl in the just for kicks audition podcast and on my likely list, did not comment on the post. Amelia Wood (mimi.wood) is on my list of auditioners so it is possible that she is going to camp and NOT one of the three current maybes (Amelia Evans, Sydney Hawthorne, Darian Lassiter). Although she also posted that she just made the Husker Scarlets for the 4th year so maybe she isn't.

Unless I missed it, Darian and Amelia have also not said if they made camp.

Yeah I don't get any full of herself vibes from Marissa, I do get pageant girl vibes like Kat and Rachel W have that can be off-putting to some. I think she seems very young and very excited and I personally like her energy.

I think on the podcast about auditions I saw that in the application they had to list their social media. The DCC organization has for sure already seen all of these girl's instagram photos and still invited them to camp. I was in a sorority and all members had to be followed by a specific account that would warn you if you posted something they didn't like (ex. shotgunning a beer in sorority letters). I would bet money that the girls are not only told that they must post certain pics at certain times but that they can be given warnings for pictures that aren't on brand. They may have decided that the pictures were all right or were outweighed by dance ability, or Alora-Rose and maybe some others will be TCC sacrifices to teach the others not to post like that.

Ok so I'm pretty into this hair talk, my hair is very curly like Maddie's and I would not want to straighten it every day just to be on a dance team so I'm all for natural hair. Someone pointed out that DCC really relies on hair flips for a lot of their choreography so I think that they would accept curly/kinky/natural hair as long as it was long enough to have the kind of movement that they like which does make some hair types or styles unacceptable to them. I've always wondered if anyone would want to dance with box braids or another long braid style or if it would be painful to do hair flips with a style like that. I had kinda assumed that this was Sydney's natural hair and that the rest was either wigs or weaves or something: At this length, she might be ok for hair flips. What I think is interesting is that she clearly switched up her hair a lot while on the Falcons, but the DCC make the girls stick with pretty much one "look" for an entire season. I wonder what hair style they will choose as her look for this year (if she is a TCC). Kat has had a little bit more freedom with her look than the other girls as she had like 3 different wigs during makeovers I think but even she kept with the same very blonde one until the season was over. She has been posting more pictures without a wig and I wonder if she would consider changing it up for this year. Possible TCC Darian has a private instagram but she posts pictures 50% with curly hair and 50% with straight, her twin sister Devon usually wears her hair curly so it might be their natural curl pattern that Darian chooses to straighten. I think this type of curl would be DCC accepted since it is similar to other past curly DCC (Darian on the right): TCC Jada has posted pictures with short curly hair before, but in her announcement post she has clearly either grown her hair out and straightened/relaxed it or gotten extensions or something to get the DCC "look" TCC Armani has pretty much exclusively posted pictures with a weave or extensions until recently so she might be trying to transition to natural hair: Amanda, Cianna, and Maddie are the girls with curly hair on the team right now and they all have pretty much the same curl type. I think adding some other curl types would add visual interest to the team but the DCC want their girls to be different flavors of the same look so I would be disappointed but not surprised if all of these girls had long wavy hair after makeovers.

Cassie Schroeder, her instagram is private (cassieschroeder). She was a USC Song Girl and thats pretty much all I know about her since her social media is private. She commented on another girl's TCC post about how excited she was to meet everybody or something like that which confirmed her as a TCC.

I agree its not that different, but historically TPTB have cut girls for "revealing" photos like these ones so its possible that they will cut her for them. Its also possible that they have already seen them and decided that they were ok.

I wonder what TPTB think about Alora-Rose's instagram pictures and dance resume. As well as being a Rockette she has been a burlesque dancer and danced for Ultra where she is essentially a go-go dancer for music events. I personally have no problem with these pictures and I think she is beautiful and a good dancer but I have a feeling Kelli and Co might not like them as they are not really girl next door. I would hate if they made her move to Texas during a pandemic just to cut her as an example to the other girls. Especially since they have likely already looked at her social media.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but it has been a very long time since all of the vets who re-auditioned made it back to TCC. If this was a normal year I would expect at least one vet cut at finals and maybe more since there has been some surprising vet cuts in the past. The vets have also not been evaluated against the new rookie candidates, and some may have gained some quarantine weight (I know I have lol). I feel like they will either try to run things as normal as they can and there will be a few vet cuts right at the beginning of camp, or due to the circumstances they will only cut a vet if there is really a problem because they already know the choreography. The only vets that I wouldn't mind getting cut are Meredith, Lisa, and maybe Victoria although I have to admit I think she is pretty and a good enough dancer I just think her attitude needs to be adjusted. Arguably Kat, Lily, and Savannah are weaker dancers on the team which could be a problem. I don't think Tess, Daphne, or Lexie should be cut but I wouldn't be sad if they retired next year hahaha.

I agree fully. I don't think any hiring process should focus on getting a "diverse" candidate, but making the process and the application more open and feasible for all individuals and not just the most privileged is always a good thing. All of the TCC are highly qualified, beautiful, and good dancers and likely would have made TCC if they had come to regular auditions, however there may have been barriers in the past that made that impossible. This year's audition process was accidentally more accessible to all which has resulted in hopefully a team that better represents all people.

I'm still gonna wait for actual confirmation from Ashlinn, Amelia, Darian, and Sydney to put them on the chart because I don't want to accidentally put someone who isn't supposed to be there but I'm pretty pleased with the calibre of the new TCC. I'm honestly kinda sad that there aren't more open spots for new girls and I wonder if/how many vets will get cut. If they cut no vets and take 37 girls like last year that makes 8 rookie spots, if they cut girls on the bubble (Meredith, Kat, Lily?) that could give them 11 spots. My Top 11 are: Darian, Claire W, Elli, Jaycie, Sydney, Shannan, Marissa, Dani, Jada, Armani, and Sheridan. Also when is the last time that 6 TCC were WOC? Whether they got more diverse talent because auditions were online, or they made a more conscious effort to go for more diverse girls I think its pretty great and I wouldn't at all be upset if all of them made the team. Based on the dancing that we have seen I would make Claire D and Amelia my first rookie cuts. I like Kat and Lily so I hope they don't get cut but I am super over Meredith and if they want that dark hair light eyes look they now have TCC Shannan.

Considering she just graduated with her MS she might be up for a move to Dallas and I think she would be a great cheerleader. On the topic of natural/kinky hair I wonder what she auditioned with if she did since she has had many different hair styles in her NFL career:

This is Kennedy Jo 2 weeks ago at a Jen Amburn class in Texas so things are opening up and they aren't wearing masks.

I wonder if they will split them up somehow like group 1 comes on Monday group 2 comes on Tuesday sort of thing. Or just do vet-only and rookie-only practices for a while since that cuts the number of girl in the room in half. I have seen a lot of girls in Texas start to attend in person dance classes so studios and things like that are starting to open up. Now, whether or not all of this is a good idea I have no clue but I'm guessing we will see a much bigger second wave soon that could shut things down again.

Did some digging, looks like Geena made the Seattle Sea Gal's in 2016 but was never actually on the team? There is a picture of her in the announcement of the team, but not on the final roster or actually in uniform so maybe she had to drop out before the season or something. She then went to University of Washington where she cheered with TCC Dani and was a DCC finalist last year. I'd love her to be a TCC but I would be surprised if she is just based on her social media.
