Took this show long enough but we finally have a layered story not centered on the ToD 2.0 but on Wyatt and his past, the Logan sisters, new blood and Storm actually getting a legacy. On one hand this story could've been Thorne's in his getting a saucy love interest in Shauna and a 'new' daughter in Flo but it works that the Logans are going to really want to embrace Flo as a piece of their brother so that when the poop hits the fan it'll really push the bonds of the family.

Katie's no longer is the sole torch bearer of Storm's legacy and can let go of that burden. And man, when they find out about Flo's 'daughter' , the Logans are going to be hellbent on bringing that kid back into the fold so that Storm's 'granddaughter' is raised by family and when they find out it's lil' Phoebe? It's gonna be on.

The ToD 1.0 and 2.0 are being folded into this but it's a bigger umbrella story that's involving the Logan and Forrester families as a whole. For once this isn't about Liam's peen but about a core family and their expanding legacy. Hope and Steffy are fighting about their children (although Hope doesn't know it yet) and Liam is basically an afterthought.

Good job, show. Now please don't mess it up.

    So well written!

There was talk in the soap press about 25 years ago, but that was quickly dashed when the soaps' audiences left in droves.  Now B&B's audience is a fraction of what it used to be.  Actors have taken pay cuts or left like Ronn Moss,  and remote location shots are few and far between.

KKL killed it today!  I love when the writers take the ill will between Brooke and Taylor seriously, and not relegate it to silly wedding cake food fights.

Bill Bell Sr never liked the hour long format, IIRC. 30 minutes had been the standard for most shows until the 80s when networks decided to expand the better performing shows to replace ones that got canceled.

I used to think B&B's problem was it's short runtime, but it very clearly worked in 1987, when characters would disappear for weeks at a time and storylines waxed and waned. Like, Stephanie didn't make the connection about Beth Logan and Elizabeth Hendrickson (Henderson?) until well into season 2 for example. Doubling the run time would just mean 40 minutes of rich people problems and honestly, the current bad imitation of what Y&R used to be is one too many as it is.

Naw, if B&B could get back to some fun camp, that would be great--cuz I just can't with all the dreary babies and babymommas dying left and right. Are we sure Maria Arena Bell isn't ghostwriting for this show?

    Thanks so much.

    Brooke and Taylor forever.

    OUCH!

Boy, oh Boy! I cannot wait until Brooke finds out that TayTay bought Hope’s baby for Steffy. I don’t care if Tay knew that it was Beth or not. She knew this was a shitty, set up deal and that she was complicit. I hope Brooke drills her a new one. A big one!

Will we have to wait until maternity leave is over?

I watched some of the very early Ridge and Brooke scenes and saw how they did romance (and the hot sex) in the late 80's.  Ridge was designed as romantic leading man (I do believe) - so what's this Ridge supposed to be?

Does anyone know why B&B never went to an hour long show?

This entire Caro-dead storyline is gag-worthy.  Somehow, the kid playing Douglas is a better actor than half of the adult cast.  Maybe they can let him play Xander too.

Damn, they won't let Wyatt have anything.

These are my sentiments as well.  I may have seen Caroline for one week on screen and didn't like her or the actress.  I stopped watching as I often do when bored and feel it coming on again until the PhoBeth resumes or resolves.  Or give Brooke some major scandal. I had hoped

for Brooke and Taylor to get down but they can't even write that anymore.  Tay is too cray.

@TessHarding2 - I couldn't find any scenes on Youtube but February 2015 there was a funny scene with Brooke and Caroline, where Brooke claimed she could get Ridge back just by snapping her fingers.  I believe she was unattached at the time.

Well that's a bit of sass from Brooke.  What the heck did Caroline want with Ridge? Well, never mind.  I don't want to think of the lack of hotness with those two.

  6. I've been watching soaps a long time and when you have a story such as this it needs to keep moving with different things happening every day, not the same thing each day until it's time for the conclusion.   In the very old days, GH could keep one story line going for 7 to 10 months.

I'm bored now, so maybe get a new story going with, oh, I don't know -  the rest of your cast??

  7. Taylor lost all of her subtlety and allure.  I've been watching soaps for so long and I still get excited when I see two vets with loads

of history be true to their characters and just fall right into it.  I guess the writers aren't feeling it.  (If anyone watched GH with Leslie and Monica, or here with Brooke and Stephanie), go for it, we'll eat it up as long as you are true.  As said above, yeah, too much camp.  All that screeching Taylor did deserved a big face slap, but I don't think that's today's style anymore.  I want a new Ridge too.  I see Shrek.

  8. Was happy to see Judge Lando back.  The parking lot surveillance was good comic relief.   Exterior work makes everything so "real", lol.  Funny that they've made this Faux Ridge a punk bully.  It really does seem like to me that they don't know what kind of storyline to give Brooke because why should she give a shit about Bill getting shared custody of the kid.  They are reaching.  What they need to do is amp up Bill being the father of Hope and Brooke trying to stop real blood shed.  Too much Pam lately, so I FF.

  9. For Season 5, I would like Demelza to tilt her head slightly to the left or right when she leans in for a kiss instead of the pursed lips kiss she does every time.  They are so sensuous together, but to me their kissing is uptight.

  10. I'm really going to miss Judge Lando.  I give it to Don Diamont for his method acting with all these kids.  He's completely emotional when it comes to children.  If I hadn't known he has six kids I would have guessed it.  B&B can be exceptionally fakey when it comes to real emotions, so I'm happy to watch it.

Can't Judge Lando throw Sally against a headboard and then go back to his chambers? Please?
