I just want to say I loved Kaya's Lavish Ladies sweatshirt.  Fun callback.

Me too!  Also loved Captain Wagner's comment during their "fun lunch", asking Kaya something like "So, that last episode of Lavish Ladies was something, wasn't it?"

It's great that the writers are throwing in these little Easter eggs to relate back to previous episodes.  I've started watching for them now!

This was one of my favorite episodes!

  2. Well, that was a lot of nonsense!!

On the catty side - Tamra's face is completely frozen - she can barely move her mouth - no wonder she didn't have too, too much to say.  I don't know if she was completely healed from her laser peel, or what, but it was just painful to watch her try to speak.

Shannon needs to dissolve some of the cheek fillers.  Her mouth is taking on a weird "Joker" like expression.

Emily, also, should lay off the fillers.  She's got a naturally full face, which is actually very pretty, but the fillers are making her eyes disappear.

Jenn should step away from the spray tan gun at least one pass sooner - she looked ridiculous.

Katie, Heather and Gina all looked the best, imo.  Heather's face work is very well done - she has some pretty deep marionette lines and actually looks like her lower face is getting a little jowl-y, but I think that is because she is so thin.  But, she looks natural, unlike Tamra, Shannon and Emily.

Tamra is a nasty piece of work, but so far, she's maintaining her cool and not screaming (will her face break if she screams?).  Her main storyline this season was going after Shannon like a rabid dog, so she accomplished that.

Jenn is pretty and also pretty naive and pretty dumb.  The more she tries to explain away Ryan's situation, the dumber she sounds.

Emily is just being the same "know it all" because she's a "lawyer" she's always been.  I did, however, appreciate her explanation of the Ryan situation and his involvement.  Ryan's got dirty hands, and knew if he didn't own up to the Feds, he would have been facing some charges, as well.  I will never understand why these people go on reality shows, knowing there is something in their lives that is less than lawful.

Katie lived in her car and a shelter?  Interesting - I wonder how she got back on track and met her current husband.  I'm not interested in what happened to her 10 years ago with some random guy, but I'd love to hear more about her literal "rags to riches" story.

Gina is actually the only one there that is reasonable, logical and seems to be kind to everyone - at least for now.

As much as I enjoy Shannon and her quirks, I dislike her just as much for her neuroses and poor, pitiful me attitude.  I do think that if she is, as she said, removing the toxic relationships from her life, the first relationship she should remove is the one with Bravo, at least for now.  She needs to work on herself, and doing it with the Bravo spotlight on her is not the correct way.

Heather is boring, haughty and supercilious.  She's not entertaining, at all.

    That's all I got!!

a mediocre episode.  Show, please get back to basics.

I agree - so far, this season has been completely mediocre.  I almost get the sense that most of the cast is "phoning" it in, like they are bored, as well.

I feel like the main characters were told to amp up their character's quirks, so we get everyone being almost too much (if that makes sense), while still delivering lackluster performances because of lackluster scripts.

Back to basics would be so much better!

Wow. Sara is done with Sunny.

I don't think she's the only one!!  To be honest, I'm getting pretty annoyed with her myself.

Laying blame anywhere is always a "Monday quarterback" thing, but unfortunately, that is always the case in any major loss or upset, whether it be politics or sports.  And, not that I'm laying blame anywhere, but there were several missteps in Harris' campaigning, obviously.  Sunny is just as bad as those Republicans she constantly condemns for never wanting to see or acknowledge something went wrong, or IS just wrong.  She's so rigid and stubborn in her beliefs, it's frustrating.  She absolutely REFUSES to see things from any other viewpoint but her own, which is, to her, the ONLY viewpoint.

I was glad to see Sara push back, raise her voice and give her opinions - with pretty valid reasoning, imo, as to WHY so many people may have chosen to vote for Trump.  Sara was kind of looking at things from the "other side" and trying to express that.

What happened to Chris Christie today?  While Sarah McBride was an interesting guest, I really wanted to hear what Chris Christie's thoughts were, after Tuesday.

Good point!  Her main storylines have always revolved around her ridiculous ostentatious houses.

Or, a ridiculous overblown, episodes-long hissy fit because of a partially eaten cake bow!!  🤣

I find Heather to be pretentious and ostentatious, and also, unapologetically conceited.  She is her own version of a self-appointed queen of all that is supposedly upper-class, and, at least to me, she looks down on ALL the other women, and treats them as they are beneath her.  Because of her wealth and super self-assured personality, the other women either tolerated her in silence or buddied up to her to garner her favor and shine in a small part of her self-appointed spotlight.

Heather's self-assuredness faltered a bit this season because Katie decided to come for her from day one, and the other women were not defending Heather against Katie.  Her crown slipped a bit, and I don't think she quite knew how to deal with it, so that's why we saw her seeming out of sorts and testy at times.

Having said all that, I'm not quite sure how I feel about Katie - I think she has the makings of a true RH mean girl - I guess time will tell.

Sometimes people will get immunity who aren't guilty of anything as an extra precaution against something coming back to bite them.

I have no opinion on Ryan's guilt although I do think he knew there was something not quite on the up and up

The guy was employed on some level at Countrywide Mortage for god's sake which was one of the worst of the mortgage companies that were responsible for the financial crisis of 2008. Nobody working at that company had clean hands. They chiefly did subprime loans to unqualified buyers with no risk assessment - the NINJA loans and also exploited gullible mortgage seekers by giving them high interest junk mortgages when they probably could have gotten standard loans.

Am I the only one who assume that engagement ring was fake. When you get a diamond that size it isn't believable unless you are Kim Kardashian who could believably afford a million dollar or more ring and is vulgar enough to actually wear it.

Isn't that the same mortgage that Slade Slimey worked for?  I know that Jo mentioned she and Ryan worked together, and if I recall correctly, Slade either got Jo a job there, or they met at work?

Ryan can claim all he wants that he wasn't involved in anything.  If he got immunity, wouldn't he have testified to something big enough that would give him immunity?  So, to me, he has "unclean hands" - he may have not been directly involved, but he was aware and perhaps assisted in the fraud and money laundering in some way.

To be fair, I don't think the audience at the rally really found it funny either.  When he (Tony whatever his lastname is) said the "Puerto Rico is garbage" line, there were groans of disapproval coming from the audience.  And when you watch the full clip (set?), he's bombing for at least half of it.  Honestly, there's part of me that wonders if he or someone working on the Trump campaign was trying to take it down from the inside, because why would you get a roast comic to speak at a political rally?

Because no other comedian/comic was willing to speak at THAT particular rally??

I agree with you, @Snapdragon - watching the clips, it seemed like most of the audience either groaned in disapproval, or groaned for the comedian, knowing he would be slayed for the comment.  Or, lastly, groaned because that joke and most of his "speech"/routine just kind of fell flat.  He, apparently, has a fairly popular podcast talent show (of sorts), and is remarkably unapologetic for his comedic style - he's been in trouble before for using a racial slur toward an Asian-American comic.

I did wonder if Joy (and Whoopi) would have defended him, because they both usually support stand up comedians and their freedom of speech, so I was surprised that neither Joy nor Whoopi seem to be doing that - instead, saying that "the guy's not funny".

The joke, and others by Hinchcliffe were in extremely poor taste, but, as discussed in Hot Topics yesterday, I was more concerned about the comments and outlandish rhetoric relayed by the other speakers, such as Giuliani, Tucker Carlson, Sid Rosenberg and the rest of them.  They, collectively, were more scary to me, than some stupid, arrogant, bullshit, horribly bad comedian, and yet, all the media focus is on Hinchcliffe, who basically just doubled down on Trump's statements last week that the WHOLE country is a garbage can/dump.

Everyone was too busy fielding accusations of requesting private investigations, gossiping to and with their children about the other HWs,  pushing people down stairs,...there really wasn't time to think about her. The trip isn't over yet, Tamra still has time to bring her up

I was thinking that, at least for some of the housewives, maybe they were afraid of mentioning Alexis' name because it could be like saying "Beetlejuice" - if you say it three times, she will magically appear!  🤣

Frankly, I don't miss her, at all.

Could you imagine her and her constant talk about "Johnny J":  while looking at the Crown jewels - "Johnny J will buy me nicer jewelry than this old stuff".  While seeing the changing of the guard - "Johnny J and I should hire some of these guys to guard us so that Shannon doesn't bother us".  While visiting Buckingham Palace - "Johnny J's house is much more modern than this - he's remodeling it just for 'us'".  It would be interminable.

I have tried to watch this show but I am over it. I can't stay awake to get through one entire episode. These women are self absorbed vapid and boring. Just when you think they are getting along and having fun cooking together they sit down to to a lovely dinner and Erin has to announce that the are playing that stupid game that always turns into all of them trying to one up the others with their sex talk. A group of women sitting down to dinner and Bryn has to ask Jenna if she has ever licked someone's butthole. Nope I'm over RHONY.

I hated how that conversation started, first, with the game, and second with Bryn trying to get second-hand cheap thrills from trying to get Jenna to reveal some personal sexual experiences - again, Bryn is trying to be a vicarious lesbian, when everyone knows she's straight.

But...that story that Jenna told about going on a date with a journalist and visiting the deep, dark sex clubs of the 80's and 90's in New York - THAT was super interesting.  Jenna's lived (and still is living) an amazing life in New York that these other boring, self-involved women could not even begin to fathom.

I'd love to hear more stories from Jenna Fuckin' Lyons than listen to Bryn and Ubah argue over stupid shit any day!!  Let's get Jenna Lyons and Luann and Sonja together to talk about experiences - now, that's a show that would be interesting!!

I am guessing yes. She’s pretty, ambitious and ignored by her grandparents. She’s the winner in the story.
I’m surprised Mary allows her son to stumble on camera, out of his room, looking like he hasn’t eaten in days and asking for money for whatever he is taking.

Also what was up with Whitney telling her daughter to set a goal for getting her ears double pierced? Two earrings in the normal piercing area is no big deal. Whitney is such a shitty selfish person.

That surprised me too - he looked like he was completely wasted.  She did allude to his "lifestyle" when she mentioned that she supports him and that he couldn't/wouldn't get a job.

I'd be annoyed to find out the hotel staff went trash picking in my hotel room and tattled on me. How cheap is Whitney's jewelry line that the staff, going through the trash, didn't try to palm it?  I'm surprised it got turned in and resulted in a phone call to Whitney. It's not like it was reported missing, it was in the trash can.

I had to laugh at Angie showing up in her Ferrari ,trying to be all cool, announcing to Mary that  her "charity awaits"  Charity, chariot,... close enough

I was thinking that maybe someone on the hotel staff watches the show and remembers Lisa's ring being "lost" in the public bathroom wherever they were last year and didn't want to be the cause of another of Lisa's meltdowns?

Also, maybe Angie considers it "charity" to pick someone up in her Ferrari "chariot"??  🤣

Dina’s ex husband Thomas Manzo gets 7 years for hiring someone to beat her now husband.

    https://www.cbsnews.com/newyork/news/ex-husband-of-real-housewives-of-new-jersey-sentenced/

Some inside scoop is that Albert is now completely running the Brownstone.  Before, Albert was more involved with weddings and those types of events, where Tommy handled the charity events and local civic associations and society events.  Tommy is not involved at all in any of the day to day operations of the Brownstone.  It sounds like Albert has kind of washed his hands of his brother at this point.  Tommy had been wearing an ankle bracelet after being found guilty, awaiting his sentencing and supposedly attended a function without notifying the police, so he was placed on 24-7 house arrest until sentencing.

This is all just so sad, because Caroline chose her asshole brother in law over her sister and now, that sister to sister relationship is completely shot.  I don't know if Caroline and Dina could ever come back from something like that - I don't think I could.

Jessel and Sai were giggling like lunatics on WWHL.

I wonder if a previous coworker has ever accused Brynn of sexual harassment or assault. I didn’t dig her “It’s Cass… just go with it” while climbing on top of half-asleep Jenna in bed.

I find it extremely annoying when Brynn continues in with her "I want to be a lesbian" talk.  If you want to explore a gay relationship - do it - don't keep talking about it with the gay women in the group, hoping someone will take the bait. I think she sees these successful, wealthy gay women, and thinks she wants that lifestyle - not the gay part, the wealthy part.  If she had any inclinations to being gay, she would have done something about it already.

In my opinion, Brynn is a major self-serving opportunist who would literally jump on any person, male or female, opportunity  to have someone support her in a wealthy lifestyle.  She would prostitute herself to the biggest bank account.  She loves to play the kittenish coquette, but usually with people who are unattainable or uninterested - gay women who know she is not gay and men married to her friends. Brynn's in her late 30's - that cutesie coquette persona will become desperate and juvenile very soon (she should pay attention to how sad and desperate Sonja Morgan came across the last few years of the OG RHONY).

I'm surprised that Jenna hasn't already had this conversation with her (maybe it doesn't bother Jenna?) - maybe the new girl (is her name Raquel?) will.

  14. I like Jenna, just because she seems so reasonable.  She doesn't seem to buy into the Housewives trope of arguing for the sake of arguing.  I really like seeing her relationship with her son - they seem to be very close.

The rest of the women - ehh - I don't like Bryn.  I'm sure we'll see her as a cast  member on House of Villians soon, because she's good at playing a part - if she's really this way in real life, she's not a nice person.  Not liking Ubah, either.  Sai is shriek-y and annoying.  I don't mind Erin too much, probably my second fave after Jenna on this show.  Jessel is trying too hard to prove herself as a fashionable uptown society lady of NY, and it's not working.  I'm surprised that stupid coat she wore on the helicopter ride didn't get caught up in the propellers - she's trying to become another fashion influencer like Sai, and she looks ridiculous most of the time (as do MOST influencers, imo!)

The two new ladies, I don't even know if I care enough.  I like Rebecca Minkoff, but the Scientology thing puts me off a bit.

This new cast and format, for me, is not working.  It's the same thing, week in and week out, just constant arguing about their "feelings", every-fucking-where.  Go to a restaurant for lunch, argue about feelings - go to dinner, argue about feelings - go to a friends' gorgeous Hamptons house - argue about feelings they had when they last argued about their feelings....blah, blah, blah...don't they ever DO anything else??  I mean - come on - go shopping, go horseback riding, go play cornhole or pickleball - for God's sake - stop stop arguing over your feelings in front of piles of food that you ooh and ahh over but never eat!!

I miss the original RHONY ladies - even Dorinda!!!  At least they did some activities and had some FUN!

Sonja Morgan was doing this with dresses from Aliexpress or another similar company getting them cheap, marking the way up and putting putting her label on it. I think that went belly up.

I mentioned this in last week's thread.  The difference with Sonja's "fashion line" is that none of her castmates blew the whistle on her on the show.  I even think that at the same time, LuAnn was putting her name on a clothing line for a TV shopping network.  Sonja threw some snark on LuAnn's clothing line, saying that LuAnn designs were for the "masses", while Sonja's were for the "classes"...and, still, her castmates kept quiet and let Sonja make whatever money she did.

To me, that was classy - not like these women who love to tear each other down in order to make themselves look good.

I'm not a fan of Karen's, she didn't  seem particularly  upset about everything,  but she could  be hiding that. I thought  it was a pretty  boring episode,  the hat thing was weird, not funny, although the hat Karen  wore into the party was. Some very pretty new ladies, but too many to remember. This show needed a recast, I'll give it a couple  of episodes,  so far everything  seems very forced.

Plus, it seemed like the hats all appeared to be children's sizes, or Karen and Ashley have large heads - the hats they put on seemed very small for their heads.

Karen's hat that she wore into the party - I saw about 100 of them in Nashville on girls celebrating bachelorette parties.  It comes in a bunch of colors and is available on Amazon for around $30.00!  It looked ridiculous on Karen, imo.

  17. I'm curious about other's opinion on this.  When Whitney announced they were going to a basketball game, to me, it came across on camera as this was a surprise outing for the women.

    But....

In the scene with Angie packing for the trip (when she was telling her husband about the Osmond guy and her "brow girl"), she was packing all of the Greek wear and the Greek flag.

Something is wrong there, or did I misinterpret the basketball game announcement scene?

When Angie The Greek was talking to her husband about the latest gossip she heard from her brow person I thought I heard her say "her brown person", it threw me for a minute that used those words.

I wonder if The Future ex Mrs. Osmond ever checks his phone? It seems SLC is a small community and having a high profile last name would mean a lot of other people know that person, it would be easy to find out what the streets are saying, right?

Whitney probably does not make or design her jewelry and probably looks for cheap suppliers that she can re package, just like Meredith would be doing with her bath bombs because we all know she will not be in her kitchen mixing up bath bombs and packaging them for sale.

P.S. I have discovered eucalyptus shower bombs and they are fabulous.

This is exactly what Sonja (RHONY) did - she had her fashion line, but everything came from Ali Baba - even the photos of the merchandise on her website.  She didn't even bother changing them up!  I remember posters calling her out on this years ago.

Meredith designs her own jewelry line and it is sold at her own store and in certain Neiman Marcus stores (according to her website).  She is the real deal, I think, at least when it comes to her jewelry line.  I checked out her website - her jewelry is actually very, very nice!

I've also been to several parts of Mexico, and love that little handbag rack thing!!  Every restaurant I've gone to brings one immediately when you're seated.  I go the extra step to sort of double wrap the handbag strap on the rung, so that it isn't easily removed by a passer-by.

As you said, extremely civil and such a great idea - I wish more places would do this (unless you need to worry about theft in the area you're in).

  20. I'm really wondering if these women dress like this ALL the time, even when they are not filming, and doing their usual social things.

Specifically, Ayan - I know she's trying to establish this over-the-top persona, but some of these outfits she wears are completely ridiculous for the lunches, dinners, events, etc. the women are doing.

The outfit she wore to the polo match only would be appropriate on a runway.  I get that she thinks high couture is always the way to go, but dressing appropriately would be so much better, imo.

I think the more she dresses this way, Ayan is becoming a caricature of herself.

Teresa wouldn't have said a word to Melissa if she didn't call her "white trash" first.  Guaranteed.  Mel just wanted screen time.

I first read this as "Mel just wanted scream time", and then, read again.  Either way, it's 1,000% true!!  The only argument Melissa has this season is with Teresa, and that's sort of a moot point with neither of them speaking or interacting.  If she hadn't started with the white trash comments, Melissa could have left with Jenn Fessler and no one would have noticed she was gone.

I don't like that all Teresa has is to call Melissa out on supposed cheating, whoring behavior (which, whether it's true or not, Joe seems to believe in his wife and her fidelity, so no one should comment on it)- it just seems like a childish comeback.  Calling a 45 year old, married for almost 20 years, woman a whore over and over again is just juvenile, and it was NOT a good look for Teresa.  If she's going to continue to fight with Melissa, she needs new material.

Melissa could use come new material, too - white trash is just so yesterday.

This! Marg, who was so innocent, was so disturbed by people she doesn’t like sitting down together to talk about her, that she picked up the phone and called the ex to find out what’s going on at their meeting. The ex she said to Delores she never spoke to by phone, only DMs? And how the hell would the ex know anything? What’s going thru her mind that her first thought was to call the ex? Marg is straight up guilty of all they accused her of and she is the one shitting her pants, along with Jackie.

But, with no reunion, and no full cast together, Margaret gets away with all of that, and more.

She's so sneaky that she so deftly turned the conversation from between her and Teresa to outing Jackie and having everyone gasp in horror and clutch their pearls over Jackie's deception.  Jackie was caught in a bunch of lies, but Margaret walks away scot free from any accusations of her lying.

(I totally believe that Margaret has always been in touch with Louie's ex, and I also think that she leaked the videos and other stories to the press.  Now, was Jackie in on any of that in the beginning?  That is another thing that will never come to light, but it's a possibility.)

Also saw an example tonight of why most of these women kowtow to Margaret.  She's got secrets and stories about all of them, imo, that would blow their lives up - just as she did with Jackie tonight.

  23. I'm still formulating some thoughts on the overall show, but so far, all I've got is that Dolores should fire her makeup artist that did her makeup for that scene at Margaret's house...she looked like a clown.  Besides the overly tan base, the contouring was literally not blended at all.

Second, and not show specific, but that commercial for the apple juice/sauce, etc. with Danielle and her daughter was adorable.

I have more, but that's it so far!  🤣

But that's the thing. We do know a woman who loves that sort of thing. Teresa. I have a problem with that term with regards to this situation because Teresa is THAT GIRL where all of Louies gestures makes sense. He knows that's what Teresa likes so he delivers. For a person like me where it would be an unusual approach then yeah, eyebrows would be raised but I just don't see it being the sinister gesture everyone wants to make it out to be.

I think that Louie doing all of this stuff so publicly is what may creep some people out (at least it creeps me out).  I'm perfectly fine with Teresa finding someone who shows her affirmation of his love every day, whether by words or actions, because she sure as hell didn't get that from Joe Guidice (although, I do think he loved her in his own neanderthal-ish way).

It's just that the over-the-top showiness of his gestures make them come across as creepy and perhaps less than genuine - or, love-bombing, if you will.

Especially when he does this on the show.  Most of the guys on this franchise, are not exactly deeply in tune with their feelings and emotions when it comes to their significant others, or are not ones to express them in public.  Most of the guys that I know in real life are more apt to not be so showy and public about their emotions.  Louie is the polar opposite of this.

It's not a problem for me, but I do find it a little creepy.  Keeping this stuff private is more to my liking, but, hey, I'm not married to Louie.  If Teresa is okay with this and happy with it, then that's all that matters.

It was funny that the paramedics asked if his lips always look like they did, because his mouth is really ugly looking.  It was even funnier that his so called "friends" didn't really notice much of a difference.

My point was more that I dislike John Fuda so much, especially for running his mouth incessantly, that having his tongue swell for a bit, and then, as you said, an epi pen to clear it, may have been a little bit of well deserved karma.
