  1. Yes please, Tommen do something! Have your mom and grandfather executed while you're at it, too! If only! I was too shocked and also hiding my eyes, so thankfully I didn't see Cersei's reaction. That would have been too much.
  2. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! He had him. He had him, but he wasn't satisfied. How utterly awful. I can't imagine what happens now. I predict Dany will very soon regret sending Jorah away. What a downer of an episode.
  3. OK, female who thought the Stooges were the last word in humor when I was about 8. I don't quite get the connection? This reminded me more of an Andy Kaufman type of thing. What gets me is, the automatic bowing-down to anyone with pretensions to operatic style reveals a lack of knowledge of the form. Thus, they praise the good equally with the average or mediocre. I thought the duet was good, better than some I've heard on this show, and the "Flower Duet" isn't overdone on this show. Now, if they come out next time singing "Ave Maria" or some crossover stuff, I may change my mind. Same here. There were two acts doing it last year, if memory serves. And one of them (Kenichi) won.
  4. After a boring season of American Idol, it's fun to watch a show with different kinds of acts. And they are definitely different! Right now I'd say the comedian is my favorite. Nick fooled me completely. Howie was definitely scared.
  5. The tattoo-hating mom was the worst. Ugh. How could you go on TV and be so mean to your daughter? I was glad the daughter stuck to her guns. She looked great in everything she tried on.
  6. This has started me wondering about the role of the town itself in the phenomenon. The name itself refers to an ideal of pastoral simplicity and oneness with nature. This had better not turn out to be heaven, hell or purgatory.
  7. I'm just so sick of the camera on Keith and J-Lo chair-dancing and singing along in their seats. I used to think it was fun last season (from Keith) and showed how much he loved music. But it's gotten waaaay out of hand this season. How can you be judging if you're doing that? Methinks they base their comments on the rehearsals, and the live show is "showtime" for them. Harry is the only one who has the demeanor of a judge.
  8. Jess should have dedicated "So What" to the judges.
  9. I am guessing Agent Bellamy must be a returnee from another time? Something to do with the cicadas perhaps? Don't they come back every 17 years? Maybe he does know it, or knew it as soon as he saw the family in line. And that's why he was trying to get them out. It bugs me that the whole situation turned on the sheriff's crazy jealousy. I mean I knew he wasn't accepting Barbara's decision, but this was, um, slight overkill. She didn't want to give him a second chance, so she must not be human. So none of them are. Right. Agent Bellamy, you just got out of town by 100 yards and you think you're safe? Dumb, dumb, dumb.
  10. My pet peeve is "You can see the neighbors' house from the windows." Get some curtains and get over it! Unless you're willing to ante up for acreage, there's going to be someone whose house is in your sight lines, and vice versa. I grew up in neighborhoods - nice, middle-class neighborhoods - where there was a narrow gangway between the houses. You actually could hear the neighbors' radio or TV (or conversations) if the windows were open and they were loud enough. And we survived. I just don't get where this complaint comes from. Any subdivision or city or suburban neighborhood is going to have houses within sight of each other. Where did all these people grow up? Re granite, soon people are going to shun it because it's so commonplace. It's going to be just your typical countertop, and therefore the cachet will be diminished. I just want a countertop that's easy to keep clean. I have a stainless steel kitchen sink that almost never looks good, so I'm not eager to add stainless steel appliances.
