  1. lol.... ....rhapidly...like a bunny rhabbit....rheal fast...rhushing like the wind... haha
  2. Good for you !! And I truly mean it... I went from mediocre to mediocre yet still managed to work hard, save money, and then retire early in life and am now comfortable with no bills to pay.... Still does not explain away the god awful decisions these idiots make, and the inexscusable lack of education, and the lack of integrity to get educated that is portrayed by these mindless baboons on this show. All 'Becca did the whole time she went to her 'classes' was complain how stupid it all was, she mentioned several times that she (and I guess anyone else) didn't need to know all these meaningless tidbits of knowledge. IMO she did not really even try, just did what the script called for, to make her look like a backwoods rube without any endearing qualities. Let's face it, passing a GED is not all that hard....
  3. Jeremiah just happens to show up at Mary's place and she is soooo surprised to see him... uh-huh... Let's not forget the 1/2 hour the camera crew needs to set up their gear to get the shot of her being 'soooo surprised.' And of course she invites him inside and there is another camera crew inside to film him walking in to take off his jacket and eat those eggs. What BS, does TLC think we are that stupid ? 'Hey ! The cult lady left me !' Lets hop on a plane to go see her for 5 minutes and then hop back on another plane to go back and whine to Mary some more. That had to cost some serious coin to just get a ticket and fly around the country like that. And at one point the idiot, Jayber, says how him and cult lady sunk all the donut money into the property in Florida. Yet a plane trip is OK and she seems to be driving a brand new Nissan. And while we are on the Florida property, she claims that he spends all his time fixing it up instead of paying her any attention. First of all, I have watched the show and never have seen him do anything on the house, except move some brush around in the swamp property. Second, why would the cult lady be mad he wants to fix up the trailer and so on?... And the cult crazy lady says goodbye with a phone message to the producers and then leaves with her boys, where did they come from? First time I've seen the boys in Florida. Where were they when they went to Sarasota, and fixing the house ? Anyway, she leaves with a voicemail to the producers, and then next thing we see is her talking to a camera crew in the car with the boys sitting asleep in the backseat. When did the camera crew catch up with her, I thought she wanted to be alone. Sabrina is a wreck, or a terrible actor, or both... This show is a joke, no one seems to work and all they do is whine and cry about their awful lives which, BTW, they seem to have brought on themselves anyhow. Rebecca can't handle her GED, well I guess the big dentist dream is out the window. She is what is portrayed on the show - backwoods, uneducated, trailer trash breeding ground for more of the same... God, please help America !
  4. And don't forget Carmela and the cult and the curse... You know she used to be in a cult, and she had a curse put on her ... LOL
  5. When I left the cult I immediately had a curse put on me... I had to endure this POS show every week until it ends in flames... Does anyone really care about these pathetic, ignorant, clueless, self absorbed idiots who moan and whine every week about stuff the rest of world would resolve in about 5 minutes? Why must we endure the endless 'baby shower' discussion? If I had a friends like these moronic, crybaby fools, I would block them on social media and on my phone, and if they tried to enter into my life, I would get restraining orders against every one of them for life... But what happens next week ????
  6. Why ? How come ? What is going on ? .... The questions abound in this wacked out show that supposedly tells the 'true', 'real' adventures of Amish turned English, and their attempt to blend into society, leaving behind their religious upbringing. And then the folks, like me and others who post, who try to pick apart and disseminate our views to try to understand the reasoning or motives for these individuals behavior. Be it drug use, scandalous behavior, drinking and other things that seem so far from what we were led to believe an Amish or Mennonite advocate would be involved in. We ponder their behavior and make all the assumptions that these folks are actually being filmed doing the things that they themselves dream up, and then actually do. And we, as posters on this discussion board, back up our beliefs on why they do the things they do with some scientific data, personal experience or a college degree that may explain their outrageous behavior... Which of course leaves me to believe what I observed from the very first time I saw this show (I am talking first 5 minutes), namely that it is a docu/drama written and produced by people who sit around in a boardroom somewhere, and dream up the most idiotic scenarios, and then narrow it down to the most entertaining one. Then write a script, and film it and produce it, and present it to any one of a number of cable networks, and fish around till one of them bites, and then broadcast it to the public. Most of the show is pathetically transparent in the truth department, and the plots are so out of left field that most normal people would laugh at this and move on, rather than try and understand the meaning of all the drama. Look at all the reality shows that are just beyond reality; 'Alaskan Bush People', 'Amish Mafia', 'The Curse of Oak Island' and on and on.... In reality, it all comes down to 'will we make a buck having this show on the air ?' Will the advertisers still pay to have their products plugged during the course of the show ? Once the money and profits disappear, so will the show... Or maybe the participants (also called paid cast) will tire of presenting themselves as ignorant, mouth breathing, miscreants and refuse to be available for filming. All of these third rate actors are being told exactly what to say, exactly how to act, exactly how to react, exactly how to walk, talk, think and so on, and they get paid for it. Let's face it, if we were to watch these folks and how they really act, it wouldn't last a minute. Who wants to see Abe scratch his butt, or Jeremiah go channel surfing on a Tuesday evening, or Rebecca fold clothes, or anything else that they most probably do 99% of the time when the cameras are not rolling.... So why do we watch ? I watch for the entertainment value, and the ludicrous settings they present, so I can have a good laugh and then make fun of them here on the internet. I guess that is my hobby... I am just as entertained by all the comments and pseudo explanations for behavior that is so obviously staged.... Even the title to the show is preposterous, they are not returning to Amish. Just returning to the hollow, meaningless lives that they had when they left. Shouldn't it be 'Return to Amish Country' or something like that ?
  7. Of course, there lays the rub.... Watch too much of this show and it starts to affect our brains, too. ?
  8. Yes, this is what was explained on the show. But... Why would anyone in the hospital care if the father was with them ? Wouldn't the staff be completely involved with the OD ? I mean, who snitched on Sabrina ? I guess that in the police report it was shown that Sabrina and the father took the person to the hospital, yet this was never made clear... Seems a little far fetched, but could be the answer. If they filled out a report, wouldn't she have known the consequences of mentioning the father being along with her and Oakley ? Also, the person who OD'd was never mentioned as actually dying on the show, now if he did die, I imagine a full and complete investigation would have been done, and the circumstances would have been revealed...
  9. Well put...LOL... With Jeremiah, you have to have a full prescription of Thorazine....
  10. I record it on DVR, then FF through all the commercials... Amen to that...
  11. And now reports are in that Sabrina was arrested for drug paraphernalia and possession in Pennsylvania on May 11th... Arrest
  12. "When we were growing up Amish....blah blah blah" "When I was growing up in the cult...blah blah blah" Every other sentence starts with their total and wide eyed realization that the world is different than being 17th century religious fanatics and brainwashed cult followers. I think after 4 seasons of this foolishness, we get it... How come when Rebecca decides to go to Florida she claims the weather is extreme (as in cold and wintertime), yet when we see Andrew and Katieann with the horse in the barn (talking about mom being in Florida), if you look out the barn door there are green leaves on the trees ? And neither one of them seems cold, in fact they have on light jackets... Going on a boat ride with these idiots is a real downer obviously, Jeremiah Raber (Buzzkill) is a moron... Where in the hell do they get the time away from work and the money to go to Florida in the first place ? Again, I have mentioned this before many times, when does Abe actually work ? A lot of people have reasoned on various discussion boards the reasons we never see him work, but to me they all fall flat, what about Sabrina and money, Mary and her cash flow? Buzz and his donut stand can't possibly raise the cash to buy 2 Florida properties and then take the winter off in the south. Building the deck at Buzz's trailer, Abe cuts one board and then it's time for a break and a long talk about women.... Then the announcer says the deck is done and off to the Vegas for the Amish in Sarasota... What a laugh... Still cannot stand to listen to the constant whine coming out of Sabrina's mouth, I am forced to fast forward through her ridiculous situation that she put herself in, don't care and don't really want to know... 2 hour episodes ? If they would cut out the sad music for Sabrina and the joyous music for Florida, the B roll shots of blurred out Amish folks walking down the street and riding their bikes, the 'coming up next after the commercial' teasers, the other B roll shots of 'before this episode' this is what it used to be like... Cut out all the unnecessary crap and you get about 30 minutes of actual usable film... B-roll shots explained here Almost to the point of not wanting to watch this POS show anymore... But then I won't get to see all the drama and crisis being played out...
  13. The Great 2017 South Central Pennsylvania Tupperware Territorial War ! IT'S ON !!!!
  14. Every time one of these folks starts to tell about their current misfortune or experience, within a sentence or two they are telling us how the Amish would or would not deal with it. Geez, get over it already, we know you used to be Amish and now you're not, is it really necessary to remind everyone all the time ? Within a minute of meeting someone, they start yapping about how they were Amish and now they are not, and of course everyone is sooo interested in their story. Oh well... So Mary buys a car, Sabrina thinks that she can have a baby incognito, yet still tell a national audience on TV her secret plan (I won't tell anyone), Abe and Rebecca need a shrink and Jeremiah is being the biggest buzzkill on the planet earth (I'm going to start calling him Buzz). So Buzz and the cursed cult woman have a hard time with the 'paid extra' neighbor who manages to come by and agrees to be filmed harassing the two idiots. Then Buzz starts hovering around the contractors till they leave pissed off, enter Carmela and within a minute she is off to town leaving Buzz slack jawed and simmering... Sabrina is fast forward material, listening to her whine on and on about herself makes my teeth ache... Can Rebecca act any more stupid ? "Mixing numbers and letters together is crazy!". Uh, no, acting like a moronic ex-Amish and getting paid to do it is pretty crazy when you actually think about it... Mary, Mary, Mary... what are you gonna do next... till next week...
  15. And completely scripted... In real life, these folks would carry on with their totally humdrum, boring lives and no one wants to see that.... I imagine between takes, they all retire to the PS4 and Netflix till the director says 'Action'.... Rebecca is probably in reality a Rhodes Scholar and an accomplished author with a desire to be the next Senator from Pennsylvania .... hahahaha
  16. Hitler reacts to 'Return to Amish'...
  17. She said dentist... I wish her the best of luck as she will need a lot of it to become one with her education. Eight years of college courses (with an 8th grade education) and a husband who doesn't want you to get a GED = no luck at all. Get rid of Abe, hire a babysitter, get a full time job to cover the $60,000+ tuition, apply for student loans, apply for every grant you can find, study endlessly, hire a tutor, be prepared for setbacks at every turn, and you may stand a chance.... Dental Assistants requirements vary from state to state, commonly 1 year of school or training... Dental Hygienist generally takes a four year college program (my daughter is a DH), tough stuff to learn. A DH does a lot more than an assistant, plus earns a lot more... I mean, either way, she has an uphill battle to achieve any of these goals, but who knows, she may have enough ambition and gumption to go all the way. Although from what I have seen from this pathetic show, is that she likes to just sit around and complain about Abe and Sabrina and Jeremiah and life in general... Needs to get on the ball and less talk, more action.
  18. How 'bout Abe driving truck while FaceTime with Rebecca while she is studying for her Dental finals at Harvard when Abe pulls over to pick up hitchhiker who turns out to be serial killer when Rebecca has brilliant insight to create new amazing social network which blows Facebook out of the water so that Abe and Rebecca and serial killer hitchhiker all make billions and retire to trailer park in Florida next to Jeremiah's swamp... or is that too far fetched ? Hey Complexity, maybe we could get hired as writers for this show...
