Editing my post because I mistook Gabriel for Philip. Sorry everyone! 99% sure Philip was in one of the tug of war photos, so traveling with the family, not working to save for college.

I think Jill's pledge to share only major updates about her mother is only due to her traveling at the moment. Since she's not in the room with her mom, she's only going to hear the major updates from her family family right now and not be able to share the day-to-day tidbits of information. I became aware of Jill around the time of Amy's accident. I remember Jill sharing updates on her blog and Facebook that she called "Foster Fridays." At some point, Amy or Kevin told Jill to stop sharing so much information. Jill posted that she would stop doing Foster Fridays because of their request, but she continued to post just as much information about Amy. Eventually Kevin took over the Facebook page for Amy and and Jill stopped posting updates there. I think she only stopped posting about Amy on her blog so much once Amy's recovery was at a point where there was little variation in the daily updates and Jill was not as much of a presence at the hospital. The family probably learned to stop telling Jill anything but the major updates. After that it seems that anytime Jill is near Amy, she writes a lengthy ableist post detailing all of Amy's ailments, showing that she doesn't really care about Amy's dignity or complying with requests to keep some things private.

Oh, I hadn't considered that, but I bet you are right! I thought she was annoyed by Jill taking paparazzi pictures when she is just trying to get through security, but my interpretation is through the lens of my shutterbug MIL who takes these types of pictures and shares many characteristics with Jill.

If the lady in the striped shirt is the person I think she is, she has been in Jill's downline for a few years. Maybe she is beginning to see the scam?

The info about working for the FBI came from Derick himself. He was interviewed for a project about Pistol Pete. He stated that he would like to work for the FBI and he already had gunslinging skills from being Pistol Pete. He may have been joking, but the transcript of the interview indicated when he laughed while answering questions. No laughing was noted when he made the gunslinging statement.

I think Jill was trying to say that paying the tuition to go to bible college in order to have a social life is expensive. But that expense is okay if one is attending bible college for Jill-approved reasons.

Considering one or more of the Rodlets posts a gushing ode to Jill on Facebook and/or Instagram every Mother's Day, I have a hard time believing this year's post is a surprise.

Jill has posted about the kids receiving spending/fun money from family and friends but insisting on spending the money on flowers and candy for Jill because her kids are just so thoughtful. Jill is always so humbled and honored by this, but I would guess there is a lot if passive aggressive comments (at the very least) if the kids dared to spend the money on themselves.

I think the tell-all was a threat that went the way of the dodo after they reached a settlement with Jim Bob/TLC. I don't recall Derick mentioning it since they confirmed the settlement.

Jill cropped out the ceiling in most of the pictures, but in a few you can see where the dry wall meets ceiling joists. It looks like the apartment is part of a larger unfinished basement. The homeowners' belongings may have been moved to other parts of the basement. The electrical seems to be run up and over the top of the walls from another area of the basement. I really hope that Jonathan is living there rent free or paying extremely low rent with the intent of saving enough money to have the security deposit for a real apartment to live in after the wedding.

I will reserve judgment on the new color until I see pictures of Jill in natural light. I remember thinking the color she picked was not good when she posted pictures from the salon the first time around. I think the salon just has bad lighting. But yes, at least trim the split ends, even if you don't want a big change in length.

I think he only has 4 sisters. Wasn't that one of the things that was so neat about Jonathan's family - 13 kids, just like the Rods, but 4 girls and 9 boys, opposite of the Rods?
