Having seen the evidence, Ellen's Facebook post that includes family friend Timmay attending church with them, I'm inclined to think Ellen's comment of "I know! I know!" on Jill's announcement post was not in response to another comment guessing that Kaylee is pregnant, but was in fact Ellen bragging that she knows the real answer is the Timmay-Heidi courtship. I will be more than happy to be proven wrong! Edit: I was wrong! And I am glad, but wish the news were something like DBD starting Plexus.

Upset that she is reproached and ill treated. I suppose she could mean that she is pained that she has to reproach and treat others poorly because their bad behavior makes her have to reproach and treat them poorly, classic "It hurts me to hurt you but you made me do it" thinking of some abusers. But Jill thinks her actions are loving because after all, she "hates the sin, not the sinner" and prays for everyone, even her "haters."

Tim and Philip have fasted. Philip may have had a weekly fast day for a time.

Renee's hair has been lightened a few times too. Jill tried to make Renee a blonde around the time she turned 18.

Are formal driver's education classes required in Ohio if a person wants to get their license before they turn 18 or 21? Where I live the classes are required if getting a license before 18 and run about $600. I can see the Rods not paying that especially when there are other licensed drivers in the household.

Blowing off midterms certainly points to dropping out then. I guess Jill was lucky that the lockdown happened, convenient excuse for Tim not returning to school. She was able to make it sound like he planned to go back after Spring Break but couldn't for reasons other than his lack of academic aptitude.

He came home for his birthday, which coincided with Spring Break, IIRC. Covid shutdown started during Spring Break, so he did not go back. He may have been able to continue remotely or may have dropped out at that point.

Jill made it sound like Timmy was moving to lodging that was not on their property, likely to disguise his failure to launch. I think her statement that he would be invited to dinner sometimes was part of the ruse.

I think this is exactly what happens. A member of my extended family behaves a lot like Jill and very few people stand up to her directly. People will purposely plan around her, like never tell her plans until after the fact, but never tell her no. I think Jill's family plans around her too since Jill has openly expressed jealousy on Amy's Facebook page when Amy has posted about getting together with Angie without Jill. I'm guessing no one wanted to go against Jill's wish to have Pat walk down the aisle since the wedding was Jill's event (even though it wasn't about Jill!).

Doesn't everyone save their wedding kiss for their wedding day? (I know Jill means first kiss.)

According to posters on Reddit, the bearded groomsman is Jonathan's brother Timothy. The Hills have 13 children, 9 boys and 4 girls.

With the wedding being 1 or 2 days after Jill's birthday and exactly 1 month and 1 day after Jill and David's 25th anniversary, and Jill being Jill, there is no doubt in my mind that A and D will happen!

Jill seems to approve of the older Disney movies. Sadie or Sofia had a Disney Cinderella dress and there are a few Disney movies in their VHS/DVD collection. I only know this story through snarkers, but apparently Jill was so sick or so injured during one of their Florida trips, but miraculously recovered when the family was given tickets to the Magic Kingdom. Not sure of the year that this happened but I think it was before Sofia was born.

Yes, that post was written by Amy. Jill originally started the Praying for Amy Foster" to provide updates about Amy after the accident. At some point, after they asked Jill to stop "Foster Fridays" and she ignored the request, Kevin and Amy took custody of the page and Jill no longer posts new Praying for Amy word salads there.

She has blogged about it sort of. Not about it signifying their availability for marriage, but about how the girls are allowed to use makeup as teenagers, and they are allowed only one new type of makeup each year. I think the first is lip gloss when they are 13, eyebrows at 14, not sure what is after that. The reason for only one new type each year is so they can perfect their skill with applying lip gloss, eye shadow etc. before adding blush or eyeliner. Jill's story about this may have changed (or was never true) but I remember reading that when I became aware of the Rods (around either Jinger's or Michael Bates' wedding) because Nurie and Kaylee's full-face makeup was so poorly applied in shades that were not complimentary to their complexions.

I think there are a few pictures of Nurie and maybe Jill wearing glasses? The girls probably don't get them until they are needed for learner's permits and driver's licenses.

Jill has said that Hannah "can't" have bangs, so I am hoping that the reason she can't have bangs will also be why she gets to keep her natural brows. No idea as to why Hannah can't have bangs.

Nathan wore pants and a jacket that were mismatched shades of white. I am probably not remembering this right, but Nurie or Kaylee found a dress at a thrift store and a friend gave a wedding dress to the other one.
