  1. I remember a little of Human Target. I liked that show and was disappointed when it was cancelled. I liked him a lot in Boston Public. He's just a great versatile actor. Meaghan Rath was back on the Supergirl set last week filming so I guess she might already have a recurring role. I don't know when she's getting married, but her fiance just landed a comedy on CBS. Maybe she'll take on some short term recurring roles for a while or just stay on Supergirl. I know for sure Katrina will find something quickly. She was in a pilot that CBS didn't pick up for the 2019-2020 season, so she might find something else on CBS very soon.
  2. I understand what you're saying now. I guess since it's CBS I've come to expect them being shortsighted. I think they prefer to produce cheaper reality tv to television shows. I think at a certain point with them they will choose a show that's cheaper to produce over one that's profits don't grow beyond a certain point. I guess if they have to choose between another season of MacGyver and maybe 2 more seasons of Magnum they would prefer to do that. I also think it is in PL's best interest if he can get them to do another year or two of his newer shows instead of on a year by year basis with H50. I remember Tom Selleck saying last year he was willing to sign a contract for Blue Bloods for more than one season, but one season was the way CBS was doing the contracts. Of course, I'm not complaining about CBS since the majority of the shows I watch are on CBS. Their shows are really good for people that work a lot of hours during the week and just want to come home and unwind to some tv. They're very easy to follow or miss an episode or two, but still be able to keep up. I'm also used to them cancelling something that I've been watching for a few years all of a sudden and announcing it during the last few episodes of the show or after the season has finished airing.
  3. I can understand why they did it. CBS has a million procedural shows, which is why I think this show had a cheesy fun-like vibe. CBS has Magnum PI, MacGyver, 2 FBI shows, 3 NCIS shows, SWAT, and SEAL Team. I'm sure the majority of those shows can be filmed in a studio with cheaper outside locations filmed in Georgia, Hollywood, or New York. The longer a show goes on the more you have to pay the actors, film crew, stunt doubles, personal assistants, caterers, and in addition to budgeting for guest stars. As far as Chi I believe he would be great, but then it would be no different a show than any of the other CBS procedural shows. I'm also not completely convinced they were unaware that this was the last season. This show has some extremely vocal and rabid social medium fandom. PL has 2 other shows still airing on CBS that I'm sure he'd like to continue to make money off of and I'm sure CBS would still like to make a little money of H50 streaming and dvd's. I think the best way not completely infuriate the fandom and possibly still keep interest in the other 2 PL/CBS shows is to feign shock and surprise. This might help the other shows gain some of the H50 following and keep the money rolling in.
  4. Yeah I agree. In that podcast or whatever it was Scott mentioned that at this point he knew no matter what he did at some point during interviews questions about his father were going to come up like they were in the podcast. I suppose if you're doing an interview for a show you're on they probably want the focus to be on the show and not who your movie star parent is. He also said that at some point in his life he'd finally gotten to not feeling he had something to prove to everybody.
  5. I do agree with you on this. I do realize he has a lot of other activities he likes to pursue. I probably shouldn't have worded that so generally. If I were him, given the current contract he has now, I would continue to sign for as long as they would continue to offer me a contract. He gets paid to do a certain amount of episodes per year and it affords him the opportunity to pursue other interests and provide for his family. You're right his daughter is 5. I heard a streaming or radio interview he did a month or two ago and he mentioned watching her play, He referred to her mom a couple of times as his wife, but also called her his gal, I guess not wanting to reveal too much personal information. It wasn't about much of anything. It just sounded like a couple of average guys having a conversation. He basically sounded like a guy in his mid-40's trying to evaluate his life and figure out what comes next.
  6. Maybe it will be like in season 8 when they threw him in an old train cargo box and he woke up covered in ants. Surprisingly, he had no ant bite welts.
  7. But when? We've been saying that since season 7. The only way Danny will leave is if CBS stops offering Scott Caan a contract. I'm sure he would have been gone several seasons ago had they not had the DDK and GP disaster that Les Moonves caused. At this point the show is in it's 10th season and I doubt it's going to pick up any more viewers and if Scott Caan keeps getting offered the deal he has been getting I doubt he'll turn it down. What else does he have to do?
  8. Hopefully it will be 5-0. Judging by Adam and Lou's apartments they must pay extremely well.
  9. She was because that's what her father was pushing her to do. There was some big scene where she took off and Grover caught up to her. She told him all she ever wanted to be was a cop and she wasn't interested in the basketball scholarship.
  10. I appreciate that they explain their absences. I know that 5-0 is a small unit, but they could allude to the fact that these guys work 24-7 and that some have time off from working the weekend or a late night case. I'm not sure when this was filmed, but I know around the end of November Katrina did a comic-con event. I don't know if I typed that correctly. I know that some on twitter and instagram have mentioned that she likes to do a lot of these events. I suppose she could have been away doing that. I know that sometimes they have had regular cast members miss an episode or two. I suppose this year it's possible since they have such a big cast. I think they get paid per episode so that would help with the budgeting.
  11. Beulah might miss an episode or two. He was filming a movie. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/taika-waititi-soccer-drama-next-goal-wins-rounds-cast-1254871
  12. Yeah, I've also read a few things about working for CBS during the Les Moonves era and a couple of years after his departure. It doesn't seem to be a place that if very favorable to women and some men have also complained. I think in general everything was a boys club. I will say that Grace Park seemed to be pleased with where she is working now. I know that it was initially filmed in Canada which might have also been a plus for her. Also the show seems to focus more on relationships. I suppose if you're an actress in your mid-40's you might want to work on a show that has a more serious tone.
  13. At this point if turning on Red will give me some answers as to who he is and why he's doing what he's doing I don't care anymore. The EP has stated that when we find out who Red is then that will be the end of this show. Please let us find out at the end of this season. I don't know about the cat or dog, but "grandma" took Agnes to her friend's house. They showed her in the backseat sitting in a car seat.
  14. I agree with what you said about them utilizing the characters effectively. Chi McBride is hard for me to watch. I've seen him in a lot of things, Boston Public being one of them. It is not easy for me to watch him play second fiddle to McGarrett instead of being in a leadership role. He has a very commanding presence and I think it is wasted on this show now that he is part of 5-0 and not commanding SWAT.
  15. Yeah I actually struggled with the right word to use. Maybe i meant a darker tone instead of lighthearted fun.
  16. Thank you for helping me pinpoint why I watch this show, give or take a few sentences. You're absolutely right. It's a show on a beautiful island with beautiful people that they are trying to make fun. I guess that's what sets it apart from every other CBS procedural show. I suppose the more serious tone of NCIS or FBI would be wasted when we can view beautiful beaches, oceans, and nature, taking away our laid back Friday nights.
  17. I noticed he hasn't been on a lot in the past couple of seasons. I also saw a behind the scenes pic, that looked like he might be wearing some kind of compression or massaging sleeves for his feet and legs. You could barely see it and it looks like they aren't putting him in shorts like they used to. Hopefully, it's something minor.
  18. The blanket immunity only works for Five-O in Hawaii. I suppose since it involved the DEA and CIA and they are U.S. operatives they could get a free pass if they have friends in the right places. It also helps that they took down a drug cartel which will make someone higher up look good. Yeah it didn't sound so great when I rewatched some scenes and heard him tell the men he was convinced that she was unstable. Then after everything was over he carted her corpse back to D.C. where he was told she stayed on the mission and did her job. Yes she might have pocketed some money, but she did do her job which he thought she was too unstable to do. I think the problem is that he always has to play the hero. That didn't work this time. On top of that since she was a secret operative under an assumed name that had been dead for many years could she even be buried by her family and even given her real name.
  19. I've been wondering for the past few seasons what happened to his anti-rejection medication. I suppose if they were being realistic he might have had the new standard 90 day supply.
  20. I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed this and sadly realized it has been the entire 10 seasons. If you enjoy reading or writing fan fiction this show is definitely great for it.
  21. Awkward Steve was absolutely adorable. It makes him seem human. Junior and Tani are just too cute. They're so young and with a promising future. I agree with everything you wrote. I think it is a very ugly hairstyle for both Danny and Scott, but I love the non-conformity. It definitely doesn't look like a hairstyle the character would wear and certainly not one most people would want to have. I fully expect a foreign article to come out a few years after this show ends titled "Scott Caan, Sitting in the Catbird Seat and Loving It!" If it were a U.S. article there would be a lot of ticked off fans. I mean think about it. Regardless if he's in an episode or not either he or Danny is mentioned in social media fandom. He hardly ever attends show events and he's still talked about. The people that dislike his character have given his constant whining and complaining the term "Dannoying". I find that amusing. I kind of find it amusing that these people much like Danny constantly whine and complain about him. I guess that saying, the things we don't like in others is the same thing about ourselves we don't like, is true. Scott Caan/Danny pretty much gets attention from fandom whether he's liked or disliked and whether he's in an episode or not. You gotta love it. He's not in an episode and it's mentioned thank goodness this was a Dannyless episode, I didn't miss him or you have the others that are furious that he wasn't in the episode and wasn't mentioned as to why Danny was missing. He misses at least 5-7 episodes a season. I'm not sure about this, but I think there were only 2 episodes last season that managed to eke out a solid .9 and everything else was less than that. The 2 episodes were Danny's daughter gets in a car accident and the other was Danny's famous (Joan Collins) mother in law comes to town. Between that and the fact that he and his character get a lot of social media attention both positive and negative, it has to work in his favor during contract negotiations. I doubt CBS would still be footing his paycheck if he didn't. I guess he's become the antagonist or what they call in wrestling "heel" off the show. Of course, I suppose it's not a bad place to be when you're an actor working for a large and powerful network.
  22. Instead of using just for men that gives a some gradual color that blends in they must have tried to match a permanent or semipermanent dye to his natural hair color. They probably used something like a chestnut brown instead of mixing it with darker color. Some brown dye's have red undertones that end up showing depending on how gray your hair is. He's just lucky whatever they used didn't make him look like Ronald McDonald in the sunlight. I totally agree. I'm sure it will grow back in the next few weeks. I hope something will grow back in the next few weeks. Quinn wasn't so bad. I've read somewhere that Katrina Law really is martial arts trained, so I'm hoping they will utilize some of that. I doubt they will, but from what little I've seen of her on a few things from YouTube she's definitely capable of playing this role. I'm also glad she's a little closer to Tani and Junior's age than the rest that have to be 40-plus.
  23. He's Dembe! He just knows! It's kind of like that time he showed up at that airport hangar to save Red and Liz from Mr. Solomon, even though we all thought he was dead.
  24. I think that the prerequisite for their girlfriends is that they must have bikini-friendly figures. I knew that Claire Forlani's character wouldn't be a love interest because she looked more business professional than the others. I supposed you could count Greer as non-white, although I think the actress is bi-racial.
  25. Apparently she sent out a message on her twitter account telling her followers that she was ready to leave after 5 years. I had no idea. She will be missed.
