  1. Molly (41 going on 52) you have two daughters and you want to bring a 21 year old boy, full of hormones into your home where your 17-year old lives. Your home and the 70K Infiniti SUV parked outside look nice. You co-own your own boutique. Great. But you are a desperate housewife who must impress her family by marrying a bartender from a poor country. That has failure written all over it. But at least that poor guy will have a chance at upgrading his life a little bit. Molly also thinks that she will take her little brat to New York and that Luis will stay sitting at home. Elizabeth, your family treats you like the baby of the family because you sound like a child. You want to be the rebel and decided that the best way to do this is to marry a foreigner. What’s up with your curly upper lip. She sounds like a brat because she’s daddy’s little girl and she exploits that. “money doesn’t define love” I want to slap her in the mouth. Nicole and Azan again. I don’t know if I could write about them at all. She’s repulsive and manipulative. Side note for her mother, she didn’t get like that last week. She was raised like that and now you are seeing the repercussions. Nicole also loved sticking it to her Mom telling her that Daddy and Stepmom will sponsor Azan. Nicole craves attention all the time and she manufactures these situations where she could be the subject. Nicole’s younger brother has more sense than her. Annie needs to wash her feet and have them treated at a beauty parlor before going on camera. But if I need to buy a used car, I will ask her to negotiate for me. I have a $20 that says that the dowry is some made up story by Sharp Entertainment. I love Chris’s wife and her no-nonsense and direct way of speaking. Another season of garbage and couples with no future and no chance of “making it” in the long run.
  2. Hey Larry, stop telling everyone that you put "everything on the line". You spent between 5K and 10K on a vacation. If anyone is getting anything out of this is you, the experience of a vacation outside the US, which you never had. When you truly care for someone, you don't throw this on their face over and over.
  3. I have met the dumbest man in the US and his name is Larry. Only Larry believes that Jenny really accidentally logged on to her filipinocupid.com account and then intelligently changed her story to say that SHE was investigating him. Jenny is a genius and should be hired by NASA The poverty of Jenny's family was heartbreaking. and did Larry have to use that hand gesture of sticking one finger through the other one? And then with the roasted pig, he really messed it up. Larry has no manners and no idea on social graces. Couldn't he just taste the pig? I mean, he's been kissing that other pig (Jenny) why couldn't he eat part of the other pig? They were right, that was highly disrespectful. He works at a goddamned McDonalds, he's already eaten dog and cats. Jenny should have also given Larry a heads up about the little feast they had planned for him and what was expected of him. Sean when in the same conversation you mention that you don't trust someone and that you are afraid that she is going to get together with her ex-boyfriend the week after you leave, something is very wrong. Sean feels that he can only find happinness during that week he was in Haiti. The idea that a month from that filming he could meet another underage girl and hook her up Antonio's best friend explaining why his friend stare at women's asses and Courtney swallowing the story. And then he tells her that he is taking his time because he truly cares. All their other friends are in the back laughing their asses off. I'm sure Antonio and his friend high-five each other after this and Antonio told him that he owes him one Patrick running in the middle of Paris. I've been to Paris three times and I have never seen people running like that in the middle of the streets and through the monuments. That dude is so self-centered is not even funny. Then they went to Sacred Heart and he's doing his flips again and sticking his tongue and licking his lips just to get everyone's attention, which he craves more than he does Jenny. Patrick makes me want to renounce my US citizenship. When Karine opened the door, she had the "f#ck you" look on her face, priceless. And then she completely set him straight. Karine to Paul "Man up, bitch".
  4. This forum has the smartest participants of all the boards in the www.
  5. Frida, we are not saying they are doomed. They just require a lot of work and ultimately fizzle.
  6. Granny, you find Larry nice looking??!!! I guess beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. I should rephrase that. To me, beauty has always been a multi-factor thing and not only about physical beauty. The only remotely nice looking person in this entire set is Karine and she's dumb as a rock. Jesse and Carlos Danger (Antonio) are in love with themselves and I'd rather go to the dentist or do my taxes than go on a date with them. Uugghh All others are not even worth mentioning.
  7. Granny, these couples have no idea what they are doing or what a real, mature, adult relationship is. If they did, they wouldn't talk about "love of my life" having just met. I can't see Courtney's parents meeting Carlos Danger (whatever his name is) or Sean's mother meeting Abby. Jenny and Larry are both dumb trash and that's not going anywhere because Jenny already knows that Larry is broke. How about crazy Paul bringing Karine to his pub. None of these couples are going to through with the visa process and I bet 20 to 1 to anyone, that they won't make it past this season either. Dating outside one's culture is "cute" for a month and prior to turning 30. After that it is just a constant hassle, specially when you start bringing families and social get-togethers into the relationship. If both are raised in the same country, example, both raised in New Jersey or California and their families just happen to be from different cultures, that is slightly different and has more of a chance of succeeding.
  8. You go girl!!! Wear something nice, but not your best (save that for later). Good luck with that, and if he turns out to be a dick, please come back and tell us. Please have something to say that is not weather related and not "do you eat here all the time?" From how you write, it is obvious you are an intelligent person. I send you positive energy and hope that it goes where you want it to go .... and not an inch more or less.
  9. Sasha, you should have said something.....ask him for his ketchup or to recommend a plate.....A confident man will be OK with you being friendly and will not take that as a sign of you being a "loose" woman.
  10. Bethster2000, please avoid plastic surgery, or botox or any of those "tricks" that Darcey uses. People aging naturally just look better. It's one thing to get your nose "fixed" while in your 20s or 30s, it is another thing to use plastic surgery to cling to youth. I live in a large metropolitan city and see these sad people (women and men) in the sidewalks all the time. They think no one notices that their face has been pulled until they are no longer recognizable. They talk and laugh but their face doesn't show the expression. The related hazards of plastic surgery should also a concern to you. Worse of it, once you get the first plastic surgery, you will continue to get other procedures done for the rest of your life. It's a great business for the doctors. If you want to look youthful, exercise daily, eat well and keep an eye on your overall health. If all that fails, keep Darcey in your thoughts.
  11. I agree that Courtney is not very interesting, personality wise. But come to think of it, none of the participants on this season really is. Seriously, do you see yourself befriending, having coffee or inviting for dinner any of these guys/girls? Despite my attacks to Abby's profession, I feel Abby is the only I could speak to or have some kind of friendship. In the past , I have befriended prostitutes, drug dealers, loan sharks, thieves and some of them are just regular folks when they are not "at work". For the record, I don't despise Abby. Quite the opposite, I hope she uses all this notoriety as a sign that she can do better and get out of that sad life on the track. The only interesting people on this season have been, Jesse's parents, Patrick's mother and Chris. I also liked Karine's father a little bit.
  12. @Millennium, this is mindless entertainment to most of us. Frankly, there's nothing you can do to stop poor people from marrying Americans for green cards and the promise of picking up gold in the sidewalks. It's been done for ages and it will continue to happen. These men go for these halfwits because they know they can control them with a green card and some money. The women see it as way out of poverty for them and their family. Something tells me that Sean and Larry and Paul tried to pick up women in the US but couldn't for any number of reasons. Some times men get tired of fishing in the same pond and just go fish elsewhere. The take home the first thing they hook and feel they caught a Marlin when all they caught was a Tuna.
  13. I agree with this. Abby is a child, she's actually under 21 so in some places she's not even considered an adult. Irrespective of her being on the track.... I could understand Sean's infatuation better if he was under 25, but he is over 40 and should know better. It's amazing how much of their brains and perspective men lose when faced with lust and desire. Sean could not possibly be in love because he doesn't know Abby, the real Abby. Chris knows her better, and I'm not talking sexually. I have a feeling that Abby trusts Chris with her personal things and that Chris has actually given her advice on how to make it out of the track. By the way, years ago I learned the term New Relationship Energy or NRE through watching a similar show on Showtime. In summary NRE is a state of mind of "heightened emotional and sexual receptivity and excitement" experienced during the beginning of a relationship. In essence, all your jokes, your sex moves, your clothes and your stories are new to the other person, as are their stories to you. So sparks are flying and there's lots of laughing. I think that ALL of these couples on 90DF are confusing NRE with true lasting love and intimacy. Darcey wakes up the next day talking about "it was magical"....Larry is in La La Land......Sean wakes up rejuvenated, etc etc. Anyway, NRE eventually fades and if you're not willing to work on the relationship, the attraction and all that other magical shit just vanishes and you stand there feeling like Anfisa asking yourself what the hell am I doing with this asshole? I think Darcey is sobering up from NRE and is realizing that Little Hitler is not all that.
  14. I bet $20 bucks to anyone that Darcey is older than 48 and possibly 52. It is scary that anyone can just walk into a court in Connecticut and look up Darcey's divorce and obtain her REAL date of birth. I know this is an evil and lazy thought to have and I'm asking for forgiveness as I write it. But I just love catching people lying when not necessary. We have established that she thinks as a 12-year old but I'd like to hear others' opinions about your guess on her real age.
  15. That's one thing I never understood. To desire someone so much that you are OK with sharing them. Some can do it, I couldn't.
  16. @CoachJen, if we are going to award Paul as the lowest scumbag of 90DF, let's not forget Mohammed. He manipulated a weak, needy, not very bright single mother into marriage with no plans to actually form a home. I don't think Paul and Karine would go as far as getting married and going through the process because of how dumb and clueless they both are. I think Paul had "bedding an amazon girl" on his bucket list and now he could check it off. In the very unlikely case where they go all the way and Karine actually relocated to the US, she would be dependent and wouldn't leave Paul because she doesn't speak the language and has no marketable skills that would allow her to get a job and live independently. Look at the other participants, they speak English, some of them live a rather modern life (Jesse, Myriam).....but Karine, I just don't see her surviving because she hasn't been exposed to much. I see her coming back to that jungle and dying poor caring for her parents. Notice how almost none of the Americans (even previous seasons) come from large Metropolitan US cities. Most of them come from rural and suburban areas. That tells you something.
  17. I do not comment much on Jesse and Darcey's circus because I think it's all staged. There's a little bit of them in their interactions, but I believe they are being told what to do in exchange for a little promotion of their respective products. Having said that, I believe that Jesse is overplaying the whole alcoholism angle because he is using it to get out. Cowards some times do this when they can't face the music and own up to what they truly feel. I once had someone dump me because I sympathized with the major of the city we lived in. I can't wait for this season to be over. As much entertainment as it has provided, it has run its course. They overstayed their visit. Time to go.
  18. It's the sad truth about whores and hustlers and drug dealers everywhere. Under the right guidance or under different circumstances, they will develop to be productive and successful people, but somewhere along their route, they took a shortcut to what they thought was the easy life and now they are stuck on it. I agree that Abby is smart and can probably have a great life if she goes straight. She's very street smart. She needs moral and spiritual smarts, which she completely lacks and she needs formal education smarts, which she hasn't shown much aside from selling panties. I sincerely hope she finds a way out of that hard and sad life of prostitution.
  19. Producers pray every night and twice on Sundays for on-camera atrocities. I'm sure the crew high-fived afterwards.
  20. Check out this "documentary" by Lisa Ling on Americans looking for love in other countries. Lisa worked with Oprah so obviously there was a lot of money, thought and planning put into this episode. I wish 90F was more like this. If the quality of the stories continue being as poor, simple, eventually, we will stop watching it little by little. TLC and Sharp have a good product here but they are diluting it with BS participants and fake storylines.
  21. Danielle is a star because foreigners in certain countries LOVE to make fun of dumb Americans.
  22. Sean could have spent a quarter of that money and stay in a nice resort in Puerto Plata where he would have met Abby or 20 like her. For $100 bucks she would have spent the night with him. For $500, she would have spent the entire two-week period and "service" him on a regular basis. But when we see Sean crying on camera, crying for the love of his life, after we hear Abby defending Chris, we realize what a capital L Loser Sean is and that he is doomed. The worst of this is that he is so infatuated bacause a young girl is in love with him and this had never happened in his hicktown.....much less a girl of color. He has low self esteem and a very low sense of worth of himself (two separate things). Abby and Chris met later that night, had drink and dinner and then wild sex and laughed at Sean-ny. Even as hungry and poor as Abby is, I saw a look in her face last night that screamed "what am I doing with this ass#@le?". The minute a woman thinks that of a suitor, there is no way he is making it back in. She might let him take her to dinner and buy her things, keep her entertained, but she won't give herself to him or trust him. I also think that there is no physical chemistry (as in good sweaty sex) between Abby and Sean and that by the body language of Abby in the taxi, Chris hits the spot. Over and over. The only reason Chris agreed to meet Sean was so that he could laugh hard when he was intimate with Abby later on. A guy like that does not travel into Haiti to meet a suitor of his girl. The producers probably paid his ticket and his transportation into Haiti and hotel. Remember that he is used to meeting Abby in the Dominican Republic.
  23. I still believe that Abby is a soft hooker. Others have already commented on the part of the Dominican Republic where she met Chris. That is known not only as a sex workers spot, but also one of the highest places for HIV and STDs in the world. You don't see hardness in Abby's eyes because she's 20 and have probably only been in the track for 2 to 4 years and perhaps occasionally. Give her two more years and you'll see a seasoned whore probably hooked on drugs or alcohol and with very poor health.
  24. Surprise of the episode. Courtney is actually smart! Not only did she walk out on Mr. Carlos Danger, but she called him on his bullshit about hiding behind his not speaking English. Hey Carlos, stop staring at other women when you are out with one, specially when many cameras are filming you. I think Courtney is rushing the boyfriend/girlfriend status, but she wasn't wrong in using that to call his bluf. Jesse and Darcy are two clowns. Their actions are so staged, I'm not wasting my time writing about it. To see Darcy with no make up was refreshing, if she's going to have more surgery, she should get that receeding hair line fixed and reduce her forehead by an inch or two. Abby. Sean was in such a hurry to get married. Now Abby is manipulating him with her BS and drama and he's about to fall for it. Hey Sean, if you have to worry about your girl "having sex" with someone else, you should run in the opposite direction. "It's me or it's him" Abby is saying "his name is Chris" is you better respect him. Abby wants Chris in his life. Sean crying on camera, the award goes to the producers for finding such a triple A loser. Jesus!! Take the wheel please!! At the end of the episode, Sean is still thinking about proposing to Abby! By the way, Chris was such a boss for not engaging in a BS argument with Sean. He said I didn't know this was going to be antagonistic. The second award Paul for putting Karine through all those tests and then telling her about his Arson and Restraining orders, after sleeping with her. He's been Mr Fun all this time, but now that he ate Karine's cookie and realized the mess he was stepping into it, let me use my past to get out of this and go back to Kentucky. Karine showing her immaturity or lack of brains and common sense, thinks he was kidding. If Paul is sincerely sick, he should seek help and stop putting himself through all that drama. Can someone with a criminal record sponsor someone else for a visa? I know friends in the same age range who have dated for many months before calling themselves boyfriend and girlfriend, much less to talk about proposing or marriage. These couples, some of them having never met in person, can't stop talking about marriage and proposing. This is more so with long distance relationship, because there is no constant physical contact.
