  1. Bah, I knew they were talking about Moby Dick but I’ve never actually read it so answered “Ishmael” thinking that sounds like it’s a Biblical prophet name. Didn’t even think any further to get to Jonah.

I like that the scores were such that anyone could have won and it really did just come down to FJ.

The picture was in B&W very unlike Drew Carey IMO -- he was in military uniform, no glasses, set expression -- we didn't come close to guessing it here and when his name was revealed the most we could agree on was we could see how it wasn't impossible it could be him.

The picture didn’t look at all familiar to me, but the clue said it was from the mid-1980s so the only person it could possible be was Drew Carey. It amused me that someone thought Bob Barker was in his 20s in the 1980s.

FJ was an instaget. Surprised none of the three got it, that seems really easy to me. Pan= all and from there the rest is obvious.

This is now the second time that Jeopardy has accepted “larnyx” as correct. Why do they keep doing that when they are normally so strict with pronunciation?

  3. This was a pretty good episode. Still hate Maroun and her constant always-on-the-verge-of-tears style acting and sympathy for killers.

The Venezuelan student shouldn’t have been part of the encampments if she didn’t want to suffer the consequences. She put herself in that situation and has no one but herself to blame.

The killer didn’t really seem that repentant at the end, he was just saying what he needed to in order to get the best plea. He didn’t really seem to show an ounce of guilt or remorse the entire time.

Add in that the clue specified the correct response was the only U.S. state capital - in other words, city - to fit the category of 5, 5, making clear the city had to be two words, five letters each

Well, Boise, Idaho is the only other capital that does fit the “5,5” category. I think the writers just didn’t think of that interpretation when they wrote the clue, but it is correct as to what was written. I think it’s fair they gave her the money.

  5. Such an easy FJ. I’ve never read the book or seen any film version of The Three Musketeers, but a clue giving three French names and asking who they are servants of in a Literature category? Had it correct before Ken had even spoken 5 words.

I rarely ever root against a player (who isn’t Yogesh) but damn if I wasn’t clapping every time Brian missed those Daily Doubles. (Black Beauty as a WW1 story!? 😂😂)

He was trying way too hard to be a Quirky Character and just came across forced and fake. So annoying. Very happy he did not even stand a chance at wining.

You'd think the first thing the detectives would've looked for is a camera inside the vehicle versus their needing the victim's spouse to point it out.

The rapper said he grabbed it and tossed it out the car window.

What about the "attempted murder" charges for (a) potentially killing the husband (b) trying to kill the other doctor (c) the other doctor's family??

And the guy he took hostage with a giant drill to his neck! One slip of the finger and the guys neck is chopped open.

  8. Wow there were some silly guesses today. President Muir? Betty Buckley in Wicked!? 😆

I had not one idea for FJ. I guessed All Saints Day just cause it has the word “saints.” Is it just me or are they really having way more religious, specially Christian, clues recently? Not a fan of this trend.

At least now I know that what I thought was “lau-koon” is actually “lay·aa·kuh·waan”!
Same as yesterday with “terps-ih-core” really being “terp·si·ker•ee” 😄

So each season when we get to this point I do a lot of fast forwarding

Same. Once the HOH winner was determined there was no question who the noms would be so just FFed til the end. And it was pretty obvious from the beginning that Makensy was gonna win since she was the only one to get any height on her build. Since no matter what happens either Rubina or Kimo will be going home this week, none of the weeks episodes are going to be that interesting.

  10. The laughter from the audience when  Angela said she would 100% have won the game was great.

Oh Angela you are in for a rude awakening when you actually find out how the audience views you.

Cam saying that getting him out would be a “big move” was pretty funny. Cam, you are the goatiest goat of the whole season.

I think (hope??) Chelsie just forgot to write the extra 0 in the comp. My guess was 10,080 and she wrote 1080. It was pretty easy math. 60 mins x 24 hours x 7 days.

Sadly, I did not "Remember the Maine".

Question: Since most of J! was taken up by a press conference and I had to read it in the archive, the clue: The first courtroom verdict on live network TV was when this assassin's assassin was found guilty & sentenced in Dallas confused me. According to the correct response, it should be interpreted as "This {assassin's assassin}" but couldn't it also be thought of as "{This assassin}'s assassin". Yes, Ruby was the one on trial (the 2nd assassin of the clue) but couldn't it also be Oswald? As in "This person's assassin", this referring to person. Or am I overthinking it?

I’m not sure how to read that as anything other than Ruby. “This assassin’s assassin” means someone who killed the assassin. If it was Oswald it would have simply read “this assassin.” (Of course he wasn’t on trial either.)

Has no clue for FJ, I said Apollo 13.

eta: ohhhh wait I see what you mean now! As if the clue was asking who the second assassin killed. I guess if someone had answered Oswald they could have made the argument it did fit the wording. That wasn’t my initial interpretation of it though.
