Asia - Voted for Monet Aquaria- Voted for Monet Eureka - Voted for Monet Dusty - Voted for Monique Monet - Voted for Monique Kameron - Voted for Cracker Yuhua - Voted for Cracker Monique - Voted for Dusty Blair - Voted for Dusty Vangie- Voted for Eureka Mayhem - Voted for Eureka Kalorie - Voted for Asia Cracker- Voted for Vixen (this seems soo strategic to me... She ain´t kidding when she says shes salty). Like, we know she is friend with Vixen, but she talked so much on her love for Monet. It seems like a strategy to have a shot to win it knowing that Monet was a competition and Vixen not?.. Vixen - Voted for Vangie (I dont know who had the worst justification, her ,Cracker or Mayhem). If you wanna hear all justifications:

Final 4 live reaction to the finale/winner announcement:
-
The fact that by the end, all queens seems to really respect Aquaria and think she is a deserving winner (even queens that called her out during the season like Dusty, said she saw such of a growth/different side of Aquaria that she couldeven be a contestant for Miss Congeniality), says more than any impression from people outside. Now about how she has a better life than other queens, c´mon, this is no Ru Paul Charity Race and theres is a limit on how money can help if you dont really have the talent to back it up, specially on competition like Drag Race that test different aspects from the queens.

Oh well, seems Asia really took it hard on herself (it didnt helped that bitter fans knowing the spoilers couple weeks ago, already started to attack her sending buttefly gifs etc):
-
Couple things from people that went to the finale tapping: During her interview, Kameron was sorta asked about if she could replace herself for another queen at the finale/if she would and she said yes, she would swap with Miz Cracker because she felt she deserved it @_@ The Vixen walked away during the interview/segment with Eureka =_= Asia couldnt hide how sad she was when the butterflies thing went wrong and even cried backstage after it. They say that during her lip sync against Eureka, Aquaria tripped a couple times/fall once and somepeople expected Eureka to win because of that. Others tho, felt Aquaria held her own despite that. (maybe thats the real reason she was a little down after her lip sync and talked about second chance). Despister her fall on the first lip sync, it was quite unanimous there that Aquaria won the final lip sync. All queens went to hug Aquaria on her winning tapping while on Eureka it seems that Vixen and Asia didnt went for her.
-
I was wondering last week why only Asia was giving ´´Fuck it, I already lost``vibes (for those that dont know, the reunion is tapped after the finale) while all the other three kept themselves together, even Kameron while queens went for her. Now it makes sense, because till that moment, all three recorded their winner moment/where still on the game. Funny tho, that even knowing that, the some queens still picked Asia as their winner instead of Kameron lol. PS: Was me, or at the least how the camera cut (whe never know how much it was edited) but by the end of Kameron X Asia lip sync, Kameron looked down/ saw the poor butterflies and looked disgusted?
-
Quotting someone else/as Ru could have said: ´´Asia O'Hara, your Butterface had us dying, but your Butterflies just wouldn't start flying.``
-
Unless they were trainned not only to fly but also to dance to the beat of the Janet Jackson songs, It wouldnt be enough still. It seems to me she saw what Sasha did last season with the petals but she totally missed the mark. Sasha used them at the right time, as a bonus (like Aquaria did with the fireworks on Bang Bang), not to let the lip sync/the energy the song calls in second plane. The combination of Kameron moving on and Aquaria X Eureka first lip sync probably forced Ru to consult producers and change it on last minute, otherwise it would be like revealing the winner before the final lip sync. Better songs next season (the Janet songs made wide open, apart from Asia messing up) or having a tie breaker to avoid more than two queens lip syncing together.
-
Well deserved. Aquaria was the closest from the full package: Look, act, funny and a kick ass lip syncer.
-
Aquaria was so superior that I wish the camera was only on her... Eureka didnt had the moves, Kameron didnt have the lyrics. Aquaria nailed;
-
Someone sent the wrong memo to Asia saying they would lip sync to Mariah Carey ´´Butterfly``? Otherwise, no reason for rely on that prop for either Janet Jackson songs.. Not the best lip sync songs, but agree with both results. It was very close between Aquaria and Eureka.. Aquaria gave it all the way, Eureka build it better.. Best decision to keep both, otherwise it would be too obvious the winner (no way Kameron is taking it).

All finalists seems very excited/handling well the way everything went, with exception of:
-
The Vixen just made a big post on twitter on how she doesnt need ANYONE´s help, that she has no struggles/problems. Good lucky on that Asia. PS: Why she didnt defended herself this way during the reunion?

Well, after last night, watching the queens online, seems the Kameron situation is getting resolved as she reached to Dusty, Monique and other queens that felt she was cold with them and they are making plans to interact more now. The Chair/Victm however, seems that made a long live stream still standing by blamming others only/saying All Stars are not on her plans (really girl? Shoook, just not). I wont get deep into the Ru/Show as a all topic but is not the main focus of this thread, but, it has being 10 seasons, queens know what they are getting into and most of them still fight hard to make into the show and a good portion of them dont see to regret it, specially when they realize what it made for their career (also, if the experience is that bad, why queens keep supporting their friends/drag daughters to make into the show aswell?). Listening to the few ones that have alot to say against the show, seems they signed up for the wrong show/never saw a reality show in their lives. I understand the claims about the treatment behind the cameras from the crew people (but these are claims from past seasons) and while I think they shouldnt expect to be treated as stars, they should a minimal respect not only as drag queens, but as human being. In other hand, I see some of these claims comming from queens that are just bitter because things didnt went the way they wanted, or because they feel they should over rule Ru. People should know that Willam is about following her own rules, with is cool, fine, but you can´t expect to get things you own way when you sign for something like this.
-
I wont ignore the fact that Ru/the show (as every reality tv show) explore peoples drama etc_. But The Vixen still came off as very childish. She is always right, always has someone to blame, she can walk away having the last word when she is confronted with something she can´t argue but no one can say something to her and walk away without be threated by her like if it is a deadly sin. At the end, we dont even remember the purpose behind her arguing besides her having the last word. Yep, she went ready to fight, as long she is the only one allowed to throw punches. What I got from Kameron´s situation, specially from Dusty is the fact she blocked herself from alot of the queens to the point to not even say ´´hi`` to them when walking into a room etc and than watching her on social media be more interactive/showing to be a approachable person, while staying away from the queens still, brought up a question mark on their heads/made feel like if Kameron had something against them (or like she feels shes above them) and holds it for strategic reasons/not come off as a bad queen.

What a reunion, damm! Comming from the top 4 episode, that love fest, than the preview of the reunion focusing pretty much on the fact that Cracker was upset with Asia´s comment, I wasnt expecting much to happen during this reunion. The major surprise for me tho, was the queens going for Kameron at the end... I thought she would stay there full episode with that blank face staring at nothing like a mannequin (the Theater could colapse around her and she couldnt react at all) till they pointed that came across as cold to some of them/or for keeping her real thoughts shout based on strategy. At least she couldnt hide the unconfortable face when every queen had a point to say why a queen from the top 4 should win with the exception of her... PS: Really excited about next week... Totally avoiding spoilers, so this time I really don´t know.. But, watching Asia kinda confronting Ru/ defending The Chair, makes me wonder if she made final 2... (kinda reminded me season 9 Reunion when Shea turned a little bit, since she didnt had anything more to lose). Just a guess tho, really no clue.

For me, its just a case of confidence and be optimistic. Like said above, even knowing how the show/Ru loves a sad backstorie and be surrounded by it, she didnt faked anything about herself/her life. She openly said shes very lucky for having a good relation with her parents, nothing to complain about her life that would match other people problems.. In other hand, she grew to be very aware of the other queens and supportive (following her on instagram, half of her stories is her sharing other queens gig, even asking people to vote for Monet forMiss Congeniaty). IMO, thats the difference between be confident/not complaing easily about life and be self-absorbed. The same way is important to have the queens sharing their struggles, its also important to have someone like her, showing the audience that gay people/ drag queens not always need to have a traumatic life experience/be full of insecurities, that things are improving.

Since the judges gave 10´s all across the board, I gonna rank the performances and looks IMO: Dance routine: Aquaria (everything tonight was close but she set herself to a higher level with her dancing skills) Kameron (it was me or her part was shorter? Anyway, very efective) Eureka (she really surprised me here.. there were some lazy movements by the end tho) Asia ( I dont know if I was expecting more, but while the energy was there, I saw alot lazy/unfinished moves) Runway Look: Asia (The most interesting and really stood out on her) Aquaria (Very good, but a little expected) Kameron (Same as Aquaria, actually I would give them almost a tie) Eureka (I liked she tried to go outside the box/not wear a predictable pageant gown, the idea was good, but I would have liked executed on a smarter way).
-
I´m very pleased with this top 4... No surprise Ru keeping them all. Good to see the last few layers of them at this episode. Based on track record, should be between Asia and Aquaria but I think we might have some lip sync battle during the finale again, that can turn some things again. Have to say tho, Asia is making a strong case for herself on how well spoken/inspiring she is, specially on this episode. Thats something can make Ru go towards her.
-
Not sure if we gonna have that lip sync showdown this season..The reason behind it last season it was because the season got the reputation of having the lamest lip syncs ever, with queens giving up, not knowing lyrics, under performing all across the season, so that was a chance of rendemption. But if we have, the fact Aquaria is the only one left that didnt lip sync might work on her favor like it did with Sasha. It gives them the chance to bring the surprise factor.
-
Kameron just had to shut down the comments section of her instagram page because of all the attack against her/her fans after last night. Lame, this people never learn.
-
I dont think so.. Its still one of the strongest seasons IMO. The thing tho, that happens every season, is that when we get down to just 5 or 4 queens, there is less to gag us. The queens are pretty much very close friends, so no real drama... less runway, less of queens failing, not much for us to figure it out after we see their presentations and judges critics since its easier to figure it out the top and bottom queens..
-
Ok episode.... Didnt liked the play pretend for as long as they were used, it took away the real reactions during the critics. Anyway, I agree with the results... Aquaria not only killed both looks but once again, she proved she can act. IMO, some people overlook how well she did at the acting challenges (the one with Eureka, the Snatch Game were she fairly won, the most funny character of that gay cruise acting challenge) when they say she only serve looks. And once again, her interpretation on both characters were spot on. She has that ´´I´m too cool`` vibe but she actually has a funny side and is not afraid to play a fool. Watching one of her instagrams stories last week, she sent the link for people to vote for Miss Congeniality, with a full speech like if she was about to ask for people to vote to herself, than by the end when she was saying ´´dont forget to vote for...`` she inserted a voice over saying Monét X Change. I LOL and that also shows how she support her fellow queens (she also was sending good messages/showing her friendship with Vixen when people went against her/expected them to be enemies). Thats shows me shes more mature that her age might show. I´m with Michelle about Asia.. Her nice look was allright, her evil look was strong tho. Eureka was ok... kinda too expected, I wanted something else from her good queen, at least she really went dark for her recording. Cracker and Kameron had more to prove comming to this challenge and they did just ok... Ru expected both to open up/step up and they didnt as they went for more of a costume challenge than really present their bad and good sides. On the lip sync, it was kneck to kneck till the middle when Kameron did those moves upside down with her legs while Cracker went a little messy.... Two things IMO sent Cracker home: The fact that once again, Kameron presented a more cleaner/professional lip sync, but what sealed her deal was what Ru said: This was the challenge for her. Ru, as many of us and even Cracker herself, expected her to kill the competition, specially at the acting challenges. Unfortunatelly, she didnt/couldnt fully get out of her head. She good ideas for her looks but not as out of the box as we would expect, and her comedy side (supose to be her strenght) didnt translate as it should. Shes a very smart queen, and with the right plataform, she can be very funny (she is very funny at her youtube/drag race review videos).

I was thinking who Miz Cookie reminded me and now I know: Mariah Balenciaga! A blonde/white version of her of course.
