I see Paige having a family of her own. She was adopted by The Matthews and she lost them tragically at the age of 16. Someone like her would have wanted a husband and children. Henry was in a similar position so they had a bit in common.
Some have debated if Prue would have been the cool childless one, and perhaps so since Andy was the love of her life and few of her subsequent boyfriends lasted long. However there were many times in which she'd stated she liked the idea of having a family of her own one day (had she not been killed) so it's a toss up.

Good to know. All the stories I'd read had Morgan and Morgause as the same person (typically the book notations said, "or Morgause" depending on the story you read) and definitely evil. Thanks!

I agree with this. I hated seeing the Manor (and Nexis) blown up, the girls going on the run with the kids and somehow trying to avoid modern life while somehow being able to teach "the next generation of magic". If it HAD been the series finale, I wouldn't have been satisfied.

I liked Henry but I agree that Richard seemed like a good fit for Paige. I couldn't stand how they gave him a "magic addiction" which made no sense!
Piper marrying a mortal might have also made more sense, since as mentioned in an earlier post, she was the one who was happy to be "normal" and keep magic more separate from her private life. Technically Leo did become mortal later on, but of course he wasn't for the first 6 seasons.

Very odd episode. Copernicus is back together but missing that missing ingredient to bring him to life. Edred is holding back a secret which could help him but why is he reluctant to share it? Was he sworn to secrecy by Merlin? His people? By Copernicus himself?
Emma is still trying to get through to Melinda about what happened to her mother, but she's not having it.
Who was it that bribed the sailor to out the Foxy Lady? Even she didn't know!

Got this from the first season of Bonanza:
In the episode, "The Bloodline" (1960) we have Luke Grayson, local drunk and ne'er do well. He seemed to like picking fights while drunk and one day while at the general store with girlfriend, saloon girl Diane Jordan he tried to pick one with Ben Cartwright. Luke shoots at Ben twice and Ben gets the drop on him and kills him in self defense. Out of a sense of guilt and obligation, Ben agrees to pay for the funeral. To make things worse, Luke's son Todd is coming back to town (having been educated back in Boston all this time) to live with his dad. He arrives the day of the funeral.
Diane is devoted to Luke, perhaps undeservedly so, as he seemed to take advantage of her feelings for him but rarely returned them. When she introduces herself to Todd and her relationship to his father, she makes things worse by claiming Ben murdered his father. Even though there were witnesses to the contrary, she keeps letting Todd believe this. He also thinks his father was a great man who was going to build a house for them and get him a horse and reintroduce him to the west he once knew.
Naturally Ben meets the kid and he is determined to kill Ben one way or another. While at the funeral, he tries to kill Ben with his father's gun. Thankfully he is stopped and the sheriff takes him to jail. Ben tries to convince him that maybe it's not the best thing to have a kid fresh out of school, just losing his father be in jail at the moment so he offers to have the boy live at the Ponderosa until he finds himself in a better place. Sheriff reluctantly agrees.
Todd is not very appreciative and refuses to trust Ben or Hoss (conveniently Adam and Little Joe are absent from this episode) and he refuses to eat and throws his food on the floor in defiance. Ben still wants to get through to him so he lets it slide. That evening, Todd slips into Ben's office and finds a pistol. When Ben comes to check out the noise he hears downstairs, Todd points the gun at him and says he'll kill him. He then fires the gun THREE TIMES. The gun was unloaded so Ben's unhurt. He runs into the night. Ben again chooses not to chase after him and they would go see the sheriff in the morning.
The kid turns up in Virginia City and tried to buy a gun from the storekeeper. Storekeeper refuses to do so, so Todd hit him from behind and steals a pistol and a box of ammo. He then goes to Diane's who has a well appointed living space (being a "saloon girl" paid quite well) and offers to hide him for the moment. She offers to give him $500.00 if he would go to San Francisco and leave Virginia City forever and start over. He thought she was holding out on him, thinking the money was his fathers'. She insists the money was hers but wants him to have it.
A gunfighter overhears the conversation and offers to take Todd to SF for the $500.00 and kill Ben. Eventually, Ben kills the gunfighter and brings the check back to Diane. Todd has the gun pointed at Ben and assures this time he'll kill Ben for murdering his father. Diane FINALLY admits the truth to Todd - it wasn't murder but self defense and that Luke was no good. The money sent every month to pay for his schooling and kept Luke in food and whiskey was also hers. He didn't have a dime to his name and everyone in town knew it. Somehow this takes the fight out of Todd and he and Diane bond. Ben gets the kid off an attempted murder charge and theft charge by saying he was paying for the gun the kid took and gave him one of the Ponderosa horses. He mentions how he need to spend time with his new "Ma".
The end.
Ever single time you see Todd try to kill Ben or dig the proverbial hole deeper you just want to put your hand through the screen and slap him!! It was like the kid had a one track mind - kill Ben - but nothing afterwards!! Even a Boston schoolboy would have known at that time that murdering a man in cold blood would only bring a noose around his neck!

OK, I was REALLY disappointed with this one! Emma's finace still left at sea when the gang could have brought him back to shore in the last episode. Now he might be a werewolf due to his encounter on the fishing trawler. I place that on the warriors.
Now due to Emma's mental trip to the past, we learn the evil they have been fighting for over a thousand years is Melinda's mother! Not to mention her father being Merlin himself! Why did they say in the pilot that the evil entity was Merlin's fault when it was due to Melinda's actions (though unintentional) that this occurred? I don't recall Merlin doing anything other than watching the disaster unfold. How does the Fox Lady fit in? Are they one in the same?
They mentioned Melinda's mother's name was Morgan. As in Morgan LeFey? Before her transformation, she seemed nice and not the vengeful woman who wanted Camelot and Arthur destroyed.
I'm calling it now: via some timey wimey shenanigans, they go back in time and change how it all began, Melinda and Edred marry and lead out their lives without the constant reincarnations, Emma's world goes back to what 1890 SHOULD be (no steampunk) and marries her betrothed without a hitch. Then the orphanage doesn't close and Alfie is able to live a better life than he was when we met him. The street magician Edred currently occupies becomes a famous performer.

Meanwhile in my world....
Been spending this month on sweeps, so that means a lot of long packages on things kinda relevant to our viewers. Our hockey team, the Golden Knights are in the playoffs and we might end up with a ton of editing if we win the next game against Dallas. Not happy about that since this means every other sot has to be changed, and there will be at least 2 on the fly natpackages we have to make (with copyright free music of course!) using various clips strung together and made to sound celebratory and majestic. Considering all the editing we already have to do, it's a pain in the butt.
Meanwhile, Bitcheroo's accomplice, "L' is trying to get into Heaven now. She saw me gingerly going down the employee stairs (I'm recovering from an injury so I literally have to take them one step at a time - and there is no railing!) and offered to help me down by taking my hand as I went down. I allowed it, but I know what she's planning - making me think I could trust her again, and then slam me when it counts. Just like before.
I did celebrate my birthday this week! I informed my edit partner that for the duration of the shift I would be referred to as "Your Majesty". He obliged. ;o)

To a degree this was true. In Las Vegas, the Moulin Rouge was the place races could mix but by the time it went out of business in 1955, segregation here stopped (thanks to Frank Sinatra) but all were welcomed since then. Tina at the time she was with Ike and performing at the International Hotel was little more than part of the entourage until she built herself back and came back with a vengeance in 1983.
Also, pools were not drained like that. Too much time to empty and too much time to fill.

During one of our interviews, Tina said that the movie was toned down compared to reality! She said her abuse was MUCH worse!!
My station did a tribute to Tina last night - in part due to her Vegas connection since she performed here with Ike back in the day. The Fremont Street Experience also had a canopy lit up with tributes to her. Although for some reason, there seemed to be a little too much focus on a local performer who sings some of Tina's songs and who tried to make it a racial issue. Tina was hardly the first black performer in Vegas (as an individual or group) and certainly isn't the last.

Just happened to catch an episode of the vintage sitcom, "Hazel" and boy was this one more than a bit annoying!
In, "The Countess" (1964) Hazel finds out she may be the heir to a distant relative's estate which is that of an English countess. She sends $25.00 to a law firm to confirm her claim as being related to the deceased. Her friend and fellow maid "Myrtle" gets Hazel to spill the info and winds up spreading it around town.
Naturally, this sets everyone on their ear; George's snobby sister Deidre want to throw a coming out party for the newfound royalty, people start offering freebies of one kind or another to Hazel (free cab rides, etc.) and even Harold, the Baxter's son (and in some ways a grandson to Hazel) gets involved by charging his friends a nickel to see "the countess".
All of this wears on Hazel and when the lawyer comes by the house to confirm Hazel is the legit heir, she asks him if they could "call it off". The lawyer says that would be impossible. They ask about the inheritance and say that Hazel's grandparents gave up the rank of title when they left for the US, and the castle and estate were taken for taxes in 1882. What does Hazel get? Half a dozen silver spoons - tarnished ones at that! Hazel is relieved.
We don't get to see any fallout from all the fuss made for her through the episode, but it bugged me for the basic reason that I can't stand it when a character in a show (or film) are set up to get a great inheritance or opportunity then it turns into nothing by the end. I would have preferred that the inheritance have been misinterpreted by someone overhearing the conversation (say, status seeker Deidre) and thinking Hazel was royalty and coming into big things, then make the story from there. Although to someone like Hazel IRL, a set of silver spoons probably would be a big deal.

I caught the first 4 episodes on AS last night and I can't help but have questions - ones I hope Gendy will eventually answer:
1) How are the new vessels for the souls chosen? Watching the past incarnations, they all seemed to be warriors of one kind or another. None of the current vessels fit into that mold.
2) How does the soul occupation work? Is the original soul destroyed or moved or pushed into a proverbial corner when the Unicorn blasts them? Once the evil entity is defeated, what happens to the people who were used for the warrior's souls? Do they live out their natural lives? Do they die immediately after while time passes until the next call? Do the souls of Melinda Edred and Sed leave the bodies and leave the occupants free to pick up their lives?
3) How did Copernicus end up in a London cemetery when last we saw him he was in the American western frontier and how did the fox's robots know to look for him there?
4) The previous incarnation looked like it took place in the Old West - say between the 1840s and 1880s (since this is 1890 London now, and Emma was not even 20, we could go with 1869-70). Something had to go on between the 20+ years since that battle to lead to these events.
5) What about those two people who claimed they were meant to be the vessels for Seng and Melinda (even claiming to have trained for it) and one of them claiming to have been a descendant of the female knight in an earlier battle. Were they really who they said they were? After all, how did they know of the past incarnations/battles happening and the preparation to be next to receive the souls? That's not something generally known. Could someone have made a mistake?

I had an interesting week myself. Our long time senior weatherman "T" was moved from his 10pm weather reports and was christened (according to the News Director's email) "Captain T - who will master drone duties from now on."
T bought a drone a couple years back and it's been very useful to the station (many viewers think the video we get from it is a helicopter!) getting us great aerial shots of various landmarks, etc. . However, I have a hunch this is the beginning of the end for him because there is already other weather people with us who are younger and work cheaper than he does. I wouldn't be surprised if a dump wasn't in the works. His own wife (they met when he was doing weather and she was a morning anchor) was dumped for a younger version several years back (I was told that she took it pretty rough - crying her eyes out!) only for THAT woman to get dumped for a DUI she got a few months later (morals clause). She bounced back though and works for the Chamber of Commerce.
We also lost our morning weather girl, C. She was a nice person and worked for us for almost 10 years. She wanted to spend more normal hours by getting a job more in synch with that of her husband and 6 year old daughter. Can't blame her for that. SHe'll be the new PR flack for a local hospital.
Meanwhile, I was kept super busy today! Part of it was due to it being Friday - which is the day our show wants to announce all the acts coming in for the weekend (EDC, Santana, etc.) and that means downloading a lot of video and formatting them for the report. We also have a Pet Files which is the pet project of one of our morning anchors, J. We used to play various viral videos of animals doing silly stuff, but when that became verboten, J gets local viewers to submit video and he thrown in some comedy. Today was a special package he wanted. He found this on the Tennessee Titan's Twitter page so he wanted to emulate it with animals and include when the LV Raiders would be battling other teams next season. I was tasked to get the videos, get a bunch of stills of logos of the other teams (13 weeks worth!) and put them into a cohesive package with royalty free music! That took a while but the end product came out well!

I definitely wasn't expecting Emma's fiancee to turn up! I also had an issue with him being left on a floating board and told by Edred to go home. How the heck was he going to do that considering you left him in the middle of the ocean??

I don't even remember when Kravitz and Bonet married or how long before she got pregnant although I could see it if the character of Denise was not married (yet) and the actress getting pregnant during production. That means they marry the character off or play "hide the belly" until the end of the pregnancy.
Much of what I do remember was from ET reports and tabloid coverage at the time. I have no doubt there were backstage shenanigans between the two (perhaps a personality conflict or something similar).

Especially economics! Seriously, did they think that Bruce giving away his money would end crime? I don't know how much money Bruce had in assets (cash or what could be exchanged for cash) in this universe, but assuming there are 8 million people in Gotham how many are poor as defined by the writers? People who make less than 50K annually? People on welfare and other government assistance?
Then consider that a one time payment may not last long. There are real life tales of lottery winners and even sports celebs who had millions and lost most of it in less than 5 years. What makes you think the "poor" who get say 250k are going to be able to hold on to that money? IRL, lots of people piss it away on stupid stuff. Not to mention a story I had read about the CA Gold Rush (1849) in which when gold was discovered and a boomtown was filled with "rich people" who had access to gold nuggets and gold dust, were paying inflated prices for ordinary items! Eggs were a dollar each! Imagine the inflation if this plan had come to pass.
Criminology/Criminal psychology - How does one come to the conclusion crime is rooted in lack of money? Lots of people who have money do criminal acts for all sorts of reasons. This show would have you believe the entire class of Gotham's poor are all Jean Valjeans who steal because they need a loaf of bread! Bull!!
There's not even a mention is Turner would be covered. Is he supposed to be given X amount of cash and sent to find his own way somehow? To move out of Wayne Manor, drop out of the Academy? Teenagers rarely know how to handle themselves once out on their own.

Understandably at the time he thought it would be a bad reflection towards the show (and Cosby by extension). He generally tried to keep his public image clean and that included his TV children. IIRC those two were at odds a lot before getting booted to "A Different World". I think the actress' pregnancy pushed it to the edge.

In this case, it's because the father is not likely to be involved in the kid's life the same way a younger parent would be! It's one thing to be a grandparent at 79, but a parent of a new baby? Hope she gets good child support from DeNiro's estate.

Methinks Bob Hope's relationship with NBC (the network on which HTH aired) since his radio days was a big reason. He may have had a special coming up as well at the time. I'm sure ML (who had a skeleton closet of his own) knew some of the skeleton's in Bob Hope's closet as well.

Here's a new Hell No: From Highway to Heaven it's "Heaven Nose, Mister Smith" (1988).
The plot: Jonathan and Mark go to salvage a rich man's marriage. He married the maid about a decade earlier and she is hoping to start a family, he wants to just run (apparently he took up the hobby and decided to run in a local race). A complication is that his father (who died the day of the wedding while trying to warn him he was marrying the wrong woman) has come back as an angel - in the form of a butler. He is determined to break up and marriage and have him marry his son's childhood sweetheart (old money and "well bred"). Jonathan was sent to stop the butler from doing this and get the marriage back on track.
Then the race comes, and due to a fall, he breaks his toe so he essentially can't run much less win. Jonathan guilts him into running and finishing the race otherwise he'd be a quitter! He does so, and stumbles over the finish line to find his wife there waiting for him. They reconcile, Butler Angel Dad realized his son married the right girl after all, and goes back to heaven.
I was so peeved at the son being guilted into running while on a broken toe! It's not like he skinned his knee! Serious issues could develop running on a broken bone. Second, I think it would have been much more interesting if the story had proven the father was right! What a different episode it could have been if the maid was looking for a meal ticket, married the guy, enjoyed spending his money, etc. while his true love really was the other woman!
The intro to the episode was also annoying, as Jonathan was driving the car, when a divine superior (played by Bob Hope!) decide to take him up to Heaven then and there!! Hello?? The least he could have done was either wait until Jonathan stopped the car or had the car drive itself until he returned. He nearly caused an accident!

Yes - several times in fact. He would leap into an actor who was working with his former piano teacher. He'd always had a crush on her but was obviously too young to pursue it. Leaping into an adult, he could - and did!
There was also the Trilogy episodes in which he was the father of a troubled child, the fiance of the same child 12 years later (and fathered a child with her) then the attorney for the same woman 12 years after that.
He was also a husband (and a wife!) in several couples so it's possible there were marital relations then as well.
