Oh My God you don't start with broccoli!!  Start with baby carrots! they're sweet and tiny and cute, then add sugar snap peas, cucumbers, little peppers all different colors....   put them out on a pretty plate, maybe with fruit even- sliced oranges, crunchy grapes, strawberries, blueberries.... so aggravating.

And that business is an insult to people who start a business and toil and work 24/7. please.

I'm so glad we have a good eater, grandson is 15 months and has been eating veggies since he started eating real food. Yes it started with gerber then quickly was mashed up veggies that we eat from the table...turnip greens, slaw, kraut, most beans, sweet potatoes & most anything else he's offered. I'm not sure mom has tried him with broccoli yet tho, having a picky eater is so frustrating, I can't imagine 5 of them.

    Cue Jon Gosselin.

Adam having a full time job most likely means BENEFITS. That's what I don't get. They are a family of 8. One of the quints has medical issues and has had surgery. If Adam is self-employed, are they paying out of pocket for medical expenses and insurance premiums for 8 people? I would think that this alone would make it worth Adam working outside the home. A trip to the doctor and dentist for six children has to be expensive, let alone if something goes wrong.  This is the first thing that I think of when Danielle starts whining because she doesn't have control over Adam 24/7.

I think before when Adam had work related travel she & Blayke would travel with him as a min-vaca, all that has changed with the quints, she can't just up and leave with that many. She pitched a fit about the Dallas trip because he was going alone without her.

The Jones quints turned 10 years old in January this year.  It wasn't TLC, but the Jones' who decided to end the show after 1 year.  Casey and Ethan came very close to divorcing a few years ago, but decided to stay together.

I would imagine like any other network, TLC uses ratings along with a willingness of the participants to continue, to determine which shows stay on the air.

I like the Jones' & like them even more now that I know this. Good for them on stopping the show and not letting it destroy their family, thanks for the info.

What is really going on with Danielle and Adam ?

Danielle acts like she needs Adam home more than she did when the quints were little babies. I don't get what for exactly . I wonder has she asked another friend who has a large family (granted its not quints) how they cope day to day. His work trips need to be coordinated with the household schedule ? The only way that would make a little sense is to Adam to say something like "I will be gone the 2nd Monday and Tuesday of each month" - starting months from now.

Sidenote#1  - I am just about ready to call bullsh*t on this new job/company. What firm is that flexible and gives 2cents about the family of a brand new employee? First the offer is to come to dallas, then come to dallas for meetings, then the meetings move around birthday parties. If I was that mgr, I would be sorting through resumes .. " thank U , next..."...

I think Danielle needs to go to work or back to work (what was her profession again?) b/c she seems like she is aging backwards, at times. I guess being around a bunch of 4yrs will do that.

Adam had the nerve to walk into the house, full of guests and the "six kids" (so he couldn't get yelled at) with a puppy after the adult discussion b/w them about not getting a puppy? To quote Uncle Dale - "that's a dead man walking".

Sidenote #2: I take it the breed of the puppy is normally very friendly with children, right ?

some of the reruns in the morning are of the Jones' from Austin, TX with the quints. I can't think of the dads name but he lost his job, they had to sell the house and downsize, their show is canceled. Adam quits his job, D doesn't even want him to work, they upgrade to a massive house & what appears to be live off the show. How does TLC decide who or what to renew?

The show returns tonight with a two hour premiere.   I hope they dial back the angst over everything, and Danielle and Adam stop sniping at each other.

from the looks of some of the previews that's not gonna happen, she tells him she's about to say the "F" word.....it appears he tells her she's not doing a good job with the house..could be editing 🤷‍♀️

I just rewatched the episode where they sold the sheep. Along with the sheep they loaded their beautiful white dog on the trailer, and sent the dog away too!  Wtf???  No emotion, no mention of the dog leaving.  Just the dog sitting there in the trailer with the sheep looking out of the bars.

I don't understand how someone could do this.  Those boys had to form some type of attachment to the dog.  It makes me sad, and makes me differently about Eric and Courtney.

I'm sure they did but those dogs were used to work the sheep, they still have several of the great Pyrenees. I know it looked like they just discarded a pet but I don't think that's the case.

hey who braided Zoey's hair during the sleepover?  Jen learned how to do do hair ?? I thought she didn't like nor wanted to learn to do little girls hairstyles.

Good for her if she learned how to part and braid... Granted she's had what 3-4 years to learn....

Did she really say she had no interest in learning how to fix little girls hair??? Why would she want a little girl but not want to fix her up?

If Will and Riley really are in Cub Scouts, one of the things they do as Bears (3rd grade) is earn their Whittling Chip. It is done as part of the den meetings or pack camping trip and all the boys get their knives but have to follow a bunch of safety things to earn it. Once they earn they earn their "Whittling Chip" they can carry the knife when camping. I know because I was a Cub Scout leader and had 10 boys in my basement to earn their whittling chips. My son- of course!- was the only one to cut his thumb open! He couldnt get it to close, so he used his thumb to close it. I was prepared with First Aid supplies though!

I don't understand why the fathers were doing this when it is part of Cub Scouts.  hey ask the fathers to come to the meeting when they are earning it. Unless it's fake and they are not really in Cub Scouts? Or unless they already earned it in Cub Scouts and it is a fake reenactment for the show?

I think we all tend to forget that Jen could have gone on disability when she turned 18, no questions asked. Having so many surgeries and a real severe disability she would have easily been approved. She could be laying in bed and at home all day doing nothing. The fact that she is so accomplished, way way more than most able bodied people is amazing. She doesnt complain either but she must have aches and pains. No, she cannot sleep on the ground with her bones how they are!

We camp quite a bit, in a camper. We also camped in a tent several years ago when we first started camping, had we not "traded up" for a camper that would have ended my camping excursions. I thoroughly enjoy camping but I was sore for a few days from laying on the ground, so I don't blame her one bit for demanding a camper.

  9. woah, I can't believe they don't have an emergency evac plan!! All the what if's came to my mind. I'm glad he was okay after the 7+ hours he had to stay out in the elements.....how ironic, the one that didn't bring a fire starter has to tap due to fire consuming his shelter. Glad for Jordan....& he was planning on staying until Jan 20...huge fish on that last day, maybe he could've.

A WOOD STOVE in a hayloft, in a barn?? With all kinds of dry hay floating around???  Maybe setting the scene for the cliffhanger finale when the barn burns down....

Is Gabes girlfriend moving up there with him BEFORE they get married?? Are they even engaged yet? I wouldn't have thought this would have been permitted or have I missed something.

When Nikki was talking about how great she looked, I was like "....oohhhhh, nooooo." I'm not a skinny-shamer and I'm not a person who sees anyone with a BMI under 24 as "too skinny, eat a burger," but she really didn't look good. Her skin was loose. She had clearly lost too much weight but couldn't realize it. I felt bad for her because she was not ready to leave mentally, and she didn't burn herself down with the juniper like I thought she might 😛

I kept thinking, this chic is gonna burn her house down with her clothes and freeze to death before they can come and get her 🤣

  13. Did I see right, 2 episodes left with 5 contestants. Will 3 tap on the next episode? Have they ever had that many left with so few epi left?

  14. I was thinking the whole time Michelle was walking and you could see the lake in the distance, don't go down to the water, don't go down to the water....it comes back on and she's right near the waters edge, almost falling in...she's not the only one, everyone of them are fishing on icy rocks, looks like an accident waiting to happen. Wasn't sad to see Michelle go.

They, particularly Danielle, have literally referred to Riley as "bad" and "the bad one."  Dale has explicitly said it as well.  That magazine article is one example and on the actual show as well.  And even if they weren't using that specific word, Riley, as has been shown, isn't stupid.  All their "hint, hint, wink, wink" about Riley's behavior and how Danielle is always sarcastically "Oh, Riley" or "Riley's just being Riley."  Riley either will watch this footage and figure it out or she'll figure it out if they continue to treat her this way.  Even at the end of the Question and Answer show when they all got up off the couch and were walking off, they are yelling at Riley.  It's a punchline for the show now.  Except there's a very real, very smart little child on the other end.

Danielle is worse than Adam to me about Riley.  Her behavior towards Riley when they were traveling to the Disney cruise was kind of gross in my opinion.  She had already explained that Riley had been woken up in the middle of the night by the twins coming into her room, so it wasn't as if she was acting out just because.  I think it was after their flight when they got to Orlando and Riley was whining when Danielle says to her child, who she knows is tired and cranky, that she is going to have to go somewhere else, w/ Taylor or whoever else she named and that she couldn't stay with her acting like that.  Danielle was way too harsh in her words, demeanor, and tone in that moment.  It was striking because she would NEVER talk to any of her other kids like that.  And in one of her voiceovers Danielle says something like, paraphrasing, "me and Riley just don't click."  How is Riley going to feel hearing her mother say that about her and only her.  Yeah, parents get frustrated and say things they don't really mean (although I think she totally meant it since this isn't the first time she's said it), but this is why they need to get these girls off TV.

the same way Collin Gosselin reacted to Kate...Danielle is exhibiting a lot of Kate in my opinion & the way she talks to Adam is a lot of how Kate did Jon. What is up with these women not wanting their husbands to work.

  16. I had the Disney episode on this morning, when Dale & Nick were talking about the job, Dallas & what not, it went through my mind if those 2 got job offers they'd pack up their family in a minute and move. Then what is she gonna do, pack her family up and tag along??

  17. I know we only see what's filmed and shown but it appears that Parker, when she notices that the cameras are filming what she's doing, shys away & clams up. What if she doesn't want to be a part of the filming for tv anymore, does she have that option?? Cara Gosselin clammed up pretty early, not quite as early as Parker. What if the kids don't want to do this, then both Danielle & Adam will have to go back to work, how would she (Danielle) handle that?? I've only watched a couple of epi in the last year or so, can't handle either one of the parent.

In the 2000s, we had Aiden, Braeden, Caden, Hayden, and Jayden.

Now it's Axton, Braxton,  Daxton, Jaxton, Maxton, and Paxton. All of these names are from the U S top 1000. Daxton was 296 last year.

I think names like this are more popular with fundies, because they want to use names no one else in the family has. Chelsy and John's kid Axton Maxwell has 3 first cousins and many more to come on mom's side and 13 and counting on Dad's side. Amy's kid will have a lot of second cousins on her side and maybe some cousins on Dad's side.

with the exception of Joe & Kendra's little Garrett.....that's Joe's middle name, named after his grandfather, Josh & Anna also have a Mason Garrett..is  it odd that they all use the same name??

I thought Jordan was the one in the burnt out area.  Nathan is the guy who didn't bring a ferro rod, which has never come up again after the first episode.

I didn't realize that about Jordan after this many episodes but I went back & watched, he is in the burnt out area. Nathan is the one that didn't bring the ferro rod, he's also the one that had to cut a tree down to retrieve his arrow on like day 1.

Jordan is my fave, & now to realize he is in the less desirable location I'm really pulling for him.
