LOL! Prior to my breast reduction (36DD to a 34C best.surgery.ever.) I used to keep a dry washcloth in my car and would shove it down my shirt to absorb the trickles. There's a town near my hometown called Leroy. If you poll 20 people, 10 will say it's pronounced LEHroy, and 10 will say its pronounced LEEroy. You can't win. -

Absolutely, and please don't think I have ever done that, I am 5'4" for the record, and my e-harmony dating profile did not mention a height restriction, I don't care about that. I had one date with a guy the same height as me, unfortunately he made a disparaging remark about cats being dirty, and since my profile did highlight my love of felines and the fact that I had 4 of them at the time, I declined to go on a second date with him. -

I'm with you @bilgistic, bald men who embrace the baldness are sexxxy!! Comb-overs, "fluffing", or hairpieces are a turn off to me, I have yet to see a bald head that is unattractive, let it go! Height is not an issue for me either, however I have met short men who have a terrible "short man syndrome" where they feel they must overcompensate for their lack of stature by being bossy, nasty, loud mouths. -
Me too!! It was even better the 2nd time! What a jerk that contractor was. I'm catching up on my JJ episodes, this one was a rerun but I did not see it the first time: The Colonel Saunders looking man, suing a woman whose father owned a share of a hunting cabin/vacation cabin. The father dies, sounds like the woman's husband may have paid the taxes without her knowledge for a couple years, but then they stopped, now the Colonel wants back taxes AND upkeep/maintenance fees to fix up the place. The woman hasn't visited since she was a girl (she looks 60+) and told him she has no interest in it, he can have it, but no, he sues her for the money saying she is an owner and needs to pay. Well looky here, the deed actually only has one name on it, and it wasn't the woman's father so guess what, you get NOTHING! He was still ranting in the hallway that she owed the money. This hit home for me because my best friend has narrowly avoided the same situation, her dad and 4 buddies owned equal shares in a hunting cabin. One of the men died, a couple others weren't interested in keeping it up or using it but my friend's son is an avid hunter and had spent many weekends up there with his grandfather. My friend looked into what the legalities of the place were and found out it was all done on a handshake 40 years ago. No one could even locate the deed, after several months and lawyer's fees, they finally got a deed and had all the appropriate people sign off without issue, leaving the cabin (a trailer really) and the parcel of land to her dad. It was a headache but I'm pretty sure it would have been worse if she hadn't crossed her t's and dotted her i's!

I agree with @DeLurker, and to add to her advice, if you've been with a stylist for a number of years and you feel like she is stuck in a rut as a far as your style, it also may be time to move on. Sadly I had to part with my stylist of over 20 years because I felt like she just cut it the same way she always did, even if I asked for something new. Sometimes a new perspective can give you a fresh new style you weren't even expecting! -
At my pharmacy they ask for your date of birth to pick up your prescription. A few years ago I was picking up my (now deceased) kitty's insulin, normally when it's a pet prescription they have it noted on the packet, for some reason this time it was not noted, so he asked for the date of birth, I stuttered out "Um, July 1999 I think?" the clerk glares at me and says "How can you not know your child's birth date???" I started laughing and said "No, Brosius is my cat!", we both laughed for the rest of the transaction. My idiot brother has 3 DUI's under his belt, with his second one his license was suspended and after his conviction he had to reapply for it. Well my brother is of the mindset that the rules don't apply to him, it was "too much of a hassle" to reapply so he never did. Lo & behold, he's drunk driving AGAIN, gets pulled over, oopsy, no license! They hauled him off to jail and he has spent the last 8 years having various friends as well as myself and my elderly parents driving him around. He just recently was eligible to reapply, for a conditional license, which includes having to have interlock device on his car. People like him and JJ's litigants just don't get having to abide by the law, and are surprised when they get caught and punished.

You made it further than l did, I couldn't listen to those two idiots attempt to string together a coherent sentence, especially the defendant, I hit FF and never looked back.

@funky-rat, our cranky neighbor went so far as to yell obscenities to me as I walked our then 2 year old daughter to the car to go to the store. We had to call the sheriff for that one as he was very menacing. I was ever so glad to see him in my rearview mirror as we drove away to our new house!
-
This happened to my ex-husband and me years ago in our first house. The neighbor was a cranky old man who apparently walked all over the former owners of our house. After several months of politely telling cranky neighbor to stop mowing 10 feet into our lawn, my husband finally got the survey from the purchase and staked out the property line so he could clearly see it. Cranky neighbor felt since he had always mowed that area that he could now claim it as his. Thankfully our code enforcement officer was able to convince him that old owners may have permitted it, but new owners now say stop it so he better. He then poured gasoline on 3 rose bushes that were growing in that area. Can't prove it but since there were other retaliatory actions for other issues later on, (shoving our garden hose into the ground next to our foundation and turning the spigot on full blast, throwing dog poop over his fence into our yard, etc.), that we could prove, we're pretty sure he also killed the rose bushes.

The price range on the ones that did meet my criteria were $50-$150, which I would never spend on something I wear to scoop the kitty litter in the morning. I purchased my current on in 2010, at an outlet mall in Florida, it's tattered and stained but I refuse to get rid of it until I find a replacement. First world problems indeed. -

Sing it sister! I want a light weight, cotton blend, mid-length robe to wear for the summer months, the one I purchased years ago has seen better days, I've searched websites, department stores, Kohl's/Target, etc. for something similar and all I find are silk (too hot!), terry cloth (too bulky!), or jersey material (again, too hot!). I don't want to spend more than $25-$30 either, WTH? I guess short kimono silk style robes are all the rage with bridesmaids nowadays but it's not practical for a Saturday morning-drinking-coffee-reading-the-paper-throwing-laundry-in-the-washer kind of weekend! -

The only flights I've taken in the last 5 years has been to Florida, specifically Orlando, to spend a week at my parents time-share resort in Williamsburg, FL, I love it there but that's for a different topic. Anyway, my flights always involve children since Orlando is home to the happiest place on Earth. I have to say, for the most part the children are pretty well behaved both ways, on our last flight home there was a little girl who stood on her seat before we were ready to take-off and sang to everyone. It was the sweetest thing ever! There's always some crying or fussing but earbuds work miracles. Unless the kid is ill-behaved (kicking my seat, throwing things, etc.) I let it go. It's the rude adults who talk loud, forget to use deoderent or mouthwash, hog the arm rest, play their i-pod/i-pad/laptop too loud that drive me bonkers. We're all in a confined space for 2 1/2 hours, could we please be considerate of others for that short time?? -

Me too, I don't miss cable at all. While I've had a couple of storm related outages, it was for an hour each time, at most, and I just watched my DVR'd shows during that time. -
Diffuser lady was definitely unwell, she called the police about a missing diffuser! I felt so bad for that landlord, lord knows she probably did not need this stress at this time! Now if diffuser lady had accused someone of stealing her conditioner/straightening iron/hair brush I would have understood.....

Same here, I think personality can actually make a person more attractive. I've dated guy who were 10's physically with zero personality, the sizzle died quickly. My boyfriend would not turn heads but he is funny, patient and kind, I find him extremely attractive. I agree, don't judge a book,.

Dear Amazon, please stop asking me to "Pick a Charity" whenever I log into my account! Since I click on the "no thanks" button every single time you'd think they would figure out that I'm all set, just have it under "options" for when I change my mind! Also, I don't need to update my income every other month! Jeez Louise, it's not like I get a quarterly raise! Just let me get to my account! -
Did anyone watch the dog sitter v. dog owner case where the DS was suing the DO because the dog bit her while she was attempting to leash the pup? She accused the DO off "swooping in" and startling the dog and it bit the DS. JJ could not get it through the DS's head that it is not always the DO's fault if the dog bites. DS was adamant that it was the DO's fault. And from the sounds of it she didn't even get badly bitten although we never got to see any pics or medical records because JJ was done with her. As was I, I hate the fact that people always need to make money off of accidents. Good grief, you're a DS and you have never been nipped or bitten before just because the pup was in a feisty mood? Heck my neighbor's dog, a big black mastiff who doesn't understand that she weighs almost as much as me knocked me over when she was attempting to give me kisses, my neighbor was so worried that I was hurt and had to assure him several times that getting knocked over by his ginormous dog was not going to cause me to sue!

Yes to this 1,000 times, I do not cry in front of others, I will get quiet and you'll notice my eyes wander away from your face, not because I'm not upset but because I am processing it the only way I can. I am not cold, uncaring or unemotional, I am just not able to tear up and wail and cry in front of others. And god forbid if my children are present or someone else who I care about because I will be more worried about their emotions and withhold my own so as not to upset them. Ugh, you poor thing, I'm glad it wasn't worse! When I was newly divorced and my daughters were in their early teens, my youngest was terrified that someone would break in to steal our stuff. I would chuckle to myself since nothing I owned was worth much, at the time I had a 20 year old TV (the old large, heavy ones) and a desktop computer that was not easily carried. I wouldn't have been surprised if the burglar left me a bill for his efforts to break in only to find there was nothing of value.

Same here! And I had to remove a border, those suckers are stuck on with cement glue I think, and it took longer to remove that than the wallpaper at my old house! When the annoying painter mentioned having to clean it first, well duh, you always have to wipe down stuff before you paint, isn't that part of the prep work? If you're a seasoned painter you should know all the steps to prep, paint and clean up after, and it should all be factored in to the price BEFORE you start. Idiot.

Tight-lipped Lisa reminded me of a former coworker who bought an expensive vee-hic-cal that she couldn't afford, after missing a couple payments I heard her on the phone with the financing company saying "The dealership knew my finances, they knew I couldn't afford this car but they sold it to me anyway, they should make the payments!"

My experience with billable hours was through my divorce, I retained an attorney to review my separation agreement after going through mediation for child custody/child support and dividing assets. I wanted to make sure nothing was missed. I was asked for a retainer of $2,500 and it was explained to me that every phone call, email or meeting would be billed by the minute. So if I called with a question, I was charged for the # of minutes on the phone. My lawyer explained that I should write down all my questions as they came up, and to make one phone call to cover them all. Thankfully the few times I did have to call her were brief. She did a great job, found a couple things I needed to fix and even returned a small portion of the unused retainer. There are lawyers who aren't out to bleed you dry.
