  1. They looked like a shredded black denim diaper!
  2. The neighbors were horrible, but I don't feel sorry for the killer in the latest FTN story, at all; they didn't seem to take any action before the shooting. My heart goes out to the poor child that witnessed what I assume was the complete mental collapse of his parents. The neighbors, and anyone else who knew the conditions within "Martin's" home, really let that child down. I dearly hope that he's okay (as well as can be expected) now. No child should suffer through that.
  3. Does anyone know where the story depicted in FTN's "Desperate Times, Desperate Measures" took place? I've been googling details about the event, but I can't find any info.
  4. You're welcome, Wendy! I'm glad my many, MANY hours of watching reruns is actually good for something, lol. Like many L&O "ripped from the headlines" eps, it's loosely based, but that just makes it more fun, sometimes; I imagine what it would have been like if the IRL stories happened the way they played out on L&O.
  5. Yes, the dad from "Bedfellows" (Rip Torn) was awful; that ep was based on the Kissel family, I believe. VDO will always be my #1, but I love me some Chris Noth, too...yummm.?
  6. Would Brady count, hmmm....that's an interesting question, one that I need to ponder for a bit. This is OT, but one of my favorite portrayals of a parent on the show was by Rebecca Schull; she was A steer Gruenwald, mother of Harveyk, in "Unrequited". She wasn't what I'd call a kind woman, but she did have Harvey's bets interests at heart. She was a great character, but not a great parent. That's still one of my favorite episodes; every character is played perfectly. Do you think Priscilla Van Acker ("Smothered") qualifies as a "good parent"? She thought she was helping her son, but she orchestrated the murder of a woman that truly lived her son.
  7. This episode's QF was the first time in Bottom 3, to my knowledge.

  9. I have to echo all of the previous (negative) comments about Blais, and no, I will NEVER "quit with the Blais hate", not as long as his smug face, annoying voice, and cheesy comments darken my television screen. I didn't recognize Amanda by sight; it's the bangs. During Season 7's school lunch challenge ep, Amanda used sherry to make a chicken dish, and when she was dinged for it by JT (mostly for the cost of the wine) she said something akin to "It's not like I poured it down their throats". She also made some gray tuna for a challenge at a DC Nationals game.
  10. "Beast"'s Joanne Drexler (played by "Alice" regular Celia Weston; that's the first thing I remember her for, anyway) is definitely one of the worst, along with Dr. Evan "I can always have more kids" Chapel, from "Grow". He should have just left his poor wife and daughter, and gone off to his dream of living on a mountain of smack. I especially like it when he, a longtime heroin addict, complained about his late wife's reliance on doctors and sleeping pills...the nerve!
