I PM'd him (and caprice) on here. I PM'd just about everyone, I think.

Raven is actually Roma Downey in Touched By An Angel and he's just waiting for the right post-Matt time to convert Amber.

@deaja like I said I would join either of the proposed DLs but ^this^ comment from Festivus gives me slight pause -- getting defensive and looking for clues towards the person who is talking about DLing you is a pretty standard Lone Hero move. *Not to say Villains don't do it too, but they tend to not get as nervous because they have a good 3-4 allies who can a) calm them down b) not join the DL making it harder to complete it and c) divert attention elsewhere and hopefully stall the DL.

Let me help you out - 1 to DL Raven (Drogo), 8 to dive for black pearls This clue has legs and you're ready to act on it, so the fact that no one else has encouraged the DL start since you said it 14 hours ago leads me to believe @raven has some, err, friends in this shanty... and you don't. That makes me comfortable with you JT; less so with Raven.

Hey, we don't get to choose who we love.

I'm picking up what Spruce is putting down, but I don't think yours are coming across as strongly as you're intending. Maybe it's better if they aren't. I think we'd have to see the Night 2 story first, mate. Until then, we really can't know for sure if there are multiple factions in play (unless we go the @Hanged Man route and ask the Villains to kindly speak up and announce themselves now to save us all a lot of trouble.. I miss HM.) New friends: Usually when there are multiple Villain factions (two smaller but separate groups of Villains) they'll alternate Nights Kills (NKs). So for instance in the first GoT game, House Lannister killed someone on N1/N3/N5/etc. and House Barratheon killed someone on N2/N4/N6/etc.. In a way it sucks because it's harder to smell them out but it's also cool because sometimes they kill each other instead of killing Heroes. So tacking onto what Bob's saying - Royal Navy/EITC might be one Villain team and Black Pearl Crew might be another. If the N2 story reflects a kill or attempt from RN/EITC and none from Black Pearl Crew, we can be pretty sure there are 2 Villain teams. If there's one group of Villains and one SK/serial killer, we'd find that out too, though SKs get a kill either every Night or every other Night (so either we don't have one because we would've seen a NK or failed NK from them in the N1 story, or we do have one and they only get a NK on even Nights.)

Captain Obvious commercials are for Hotels.com.. not seeing any immediate connections. Deadpool wants to go to Disney World? Hotel/resort?

You guys, I'm so excited at how much talking is happening. Rookies, my ass... you're pros. I'm fucking giddy over it. I'll join a DL for either but I really like the alliterative pair/EAP connection JT pointed out for "dank/dirty." That's SS' levels of cleverness.

In my experience, that would mean only one is an actual clue... if either. The runners typically won't clue to the same Villain twice in a row (unless there's only one left.)

From Bob's profile: One of my favorite books is The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

That's interesting... I looked for spoiled under worst qualities but didn't really consider any other questions.

Hero gone and still no idea what yesterday's clue was. I must have read and reread it 99 times. Today's story is so great, but not one word is out of place. Which is the worst when looking for a clue. (Write shittier!!!)

Matt would take another girl to an establishment called Amber's Best Friend Raven's Bar and not think twice of it.

Me brother from another mother! (Me mother was a dumb wench with a fat arse, did ye know that?!)

Liz only cares about Liz and will do whatever Liz wants to do at any given moment. The reason why no one took up for her is because she was in the wrong - Jamie shouldn't have STFU'd her, but she did need to stop talking. If there was any doubt she's as self-centered, then she snaps at the track employee who wants to give them a souvenir because she was in the middle of screaming at Jamie.

Most people who make a Day 1 alliance have no idea whether the other person/people will keep their word; knowing someone in real life pretty much guarantees they will. It's a big deal having skin in the game.

PSA for new friends re: SS' post above:

I saw that dinner story ending differently.. I thought the daughter was going to say "I finally worked up the nerve to talk to my mom about it and she was so supportive, that's why you should talk to your parents" but instead she was like "Listen Sumit my mom is not only an unattractive idiot but also kind of a bigot who almost cut off her own kid, but that's neither here nor there: you should talk to your parents about my mom and then worst case they never talk to you again, NBD."

There are several types of abilities in each game- investigative and protective are pretty common to all games. An investigator may be looking for one particular character (for reasons only they know) or have the ability to see a particular player's alignment (hero/villain) or be able to see what character someone is playing, or something else like what a player did during the Night/etc. A protector can select a particular player to be safe from Night kills (villain kills.) The villain team will typically have these roles as well, which they use to find important characters they want to kill or potentially recruit to their side if a recruit is in play, and protect themselves from investigations or kills from the heroes. They also often have a role blocker to keep certain heroes from performing their special abilities. [Neither the hero investigators nor protectors really want to announce themselves in-game, or they'll become primary targets for villains.] They do however want/need to share what they've learned. It's a tricky thing..

I'm not keen on a statsgirl DL - but I do think someone with an investigative power should check out either SVNBob or Machiabelly tonight. This is one of the areas where this game varies from the one-night game. During the one-night game the votes are locked at a specific time frame and whoever has the most votes at that time is captured- even if there's only been ove vote cast. In this game you need a required number of votes (majority) to complete a David Lynch (DL) and if you don't have that by the time the Day is over you go to Twilight and everyone lives.
