    She made the team very young, and I just kind of looked at her as a naive person who let the DCC fame get to her, but still remained that naive kid at heart. Like that rumor about she & Dak? If it did indeed happen, I do believe that she really thought he was serious about her. And her texting Shelly about losing point, to me, was sad. I don't know, maybe I'd feel different if I actually knew her, but I just saw something in her naïveté and a sort of vulnerability that made her likable.

    I'm a big fan of Jenna as well, for all the same reasons. I'm also of the belief that, contract or no, her partying with Dak and texting Shelly about point wasn't a big enough deal to warrant demoting her. Especially considering what others got away with. She was a great DCC, among the best dancers they've ever had, IMO. Naive is definitely a great way to describe her.

    Apparently all this talk about Kat retiring might be a bit premature. Source says nothing is really set in stone and that a lot can happen in between now and the end of the season. Also is insisting that the 5-season mandate is factual and that Ashlee, Caroline and Jalyn will retire at the end of this current season. 

    Kat herself said on IG this was her last year. She’s changing her mind?

    I also think Ashlee was far and away the best option for point of the 5 years (though I love me some Kelcey and Jalyn). She just seems to be a more dynamic dancer and looks like she's having fun. From her IG stories, it seemed as though she was heading for retirement, but decided to stay for a shot at point. Maybe Kelli didn't like the implication. Or maybe she didn't think Ashlee had the necessary leadership skills.

    That said, Kelli's choices for point seem to be more and more divisive among us fans. There was some rumbling when Holly was picked over Emma and Jacie, and Mia over Jackie Bob, but there's been a lot of pushback over Kashara, Amy, Maddie, Gina and Rachel. For me, I'm not sure what TPTB are looking for in a point anymore. Can't necessarily be reliability because they wouldn't have chosen Amy, who was mistake prone. Can't necessarily be clean, because they wouldn't haven't chosen Kashara, who was dynamic but messy. Can't necessarily be about leadership because she wouldn't have chosen Whitney with her drama. Etc, etc.

    I personally would want a reliable and dynamic point over one who's just reliable and clean, but that's me. I also don't care about looks, which obviously was a factor with Rachel being chosen, because anyone can look gorgeous with the right makeup and haircut.

    I thought that was bizarre as well. It's a weird teaser amid a weird year -- first the buckles, now the locker room. I know Kelli has a marketing background, but doesn't the DCC have a separate marketing director?
