  1. Yea last night was the first time in a long time I didnt at least chuckle once at any of the set ups much less what the panel responses were. Maybe everyone was still in vacation mode and phoned it in.
  2. LOL! Me too. The only ones I can think of that hasn't happened to (yet) are The Little Couple.
  3. ....and now The Soup is over http://tvline.com/2015/11/18/the-soup-cancelled-series-finale-e/
  4. Spot on with the Kim K. comparison. But wait I am sure Ben has been told he is the king and he doesn't have to do jack to feed/diaper/etc. the baby...that is women's work. But then this is a guy that cleans toilets for a living...sometimes... I could almost give a pass having a relative to help out the first few days/week. But that usually is like cleaning or cooking, sometimes holding baby to give a break but the rest is up to the parents, especially the feeding. All for bonding and such. Sigh.
  5. But Starbucks started in Seattle..that heathen city...which makes the whole Xmas cup decoration outrage even more silly.
  6. I love The Little Couple but yes, a lot of things for that adoption was very staged, but it didn't surprise me. They have continue to stage various scenarios after they had both kids home as well, but that is the name of the game sadly. So be prepared to have another version of the birth when it gets broadcast that differs from what was said in People and other media.
  7. Good points. Again I believe this is mostly for the cameras. That poor child will be paraded as "...and here is our adopted kid. Aren't we wonderful?" Then after the cameras are off the kid will have to fend for themselves. Most adopted kids really resent this attitude. They are human beings, not for show. Sadly, they would not be the only ones to do this. There is a small, but vocal group of very religious folks who think by just adopting (and ignoring everything else that goes with it) they get brownie points with their deity and community so its all about them and not the kid. Then they are shocked and upset that the kid does not behave like they expected or it grows older and has lost their "cuteness". Seen it too many times and this just smells like what Ben and Jessa are thinking. I hope not for the kid's sake. Watch for this as well if they go forward - another big thing in the adoption world - fund raising. And that worked out so well for The Dullards and their missionary trip. /Adoptive mom here and knowing what we went through and what our child faces every day just irks me when people like Ben and Jessa are flippant about it.
  8. Uh no...It makes me sick to my stomach when I hear them talking about adoption. Oh I am sure they will go though the motions for the cameras but no they will not adopt. There are too many things like having a steady income, vetted by a social worker, etc. And come on, would they even adopt (or foster) a child of color? They could do a private adoption with a birth family, but who would allow their child to be raised by cult? Would they even allow visitation/open adoption? Ugh. /edited for double posting
  9. Yes its back. Good show and it was mostly about the EMT's which are my favorites.
  10. Yes OSU is not a small, quaint college. I work with a graduate from that school (although he is about 30 yrs older than Derrick) and he is a very smart, hard working successful person. I find it hard to believe they are from the same university. Have education standards there gone that far downhill? How did he even get to be the mascot anyway? Not sure about college, but in high school the person who was the mascot was also a cheerleader and equally popular. Its obvious he was not part of the "in" crowd.
  11. Oh my goodness that birthday video. You can bet Jessa is filming it and "directing" it all the way. Watch how he keeps looking back at the camera for approval and then the camera shakes oh so slightly as if the one who is filming is gesturing "go on - more" and his little brain is scrambling to remember the "script". That smile was very much an afterthought. Pretty sad.
  12. ...unless the TLC cameras are on then JB will call it everything he can as long as he gets face time.
  13. I firmly believe that Anna will be preggers by this time next year. A "miracle" make up baby if you will. Like that has worked so well with other couples in the past and present. Sigh...
