There was a lot of disturbing stuff in this episode but maybe the worst for me was watching Gilbert drink milk from a jug. There were several scenes where he was carrying around a gallon of milk and drinking from it. It even happened in the hospital. Who brings a gallon of milk with them to the hospital to chug? I can't say I much cared for Lupe but I did feel bad for her. She much not think much of herself to to be in a position where she stops walking so that she can cling to a cheating husband and force him to stay.

S08.E11: Ms. Parks Goes To Washington

While I understood and agreed with the general point the oddly be-hatted congresswoman was making I cringed a bit with what she was saying in front of Kim's son. Certainly eight is not too young to hear a discussion about racism but it is pretty young to understand what a stranger means when she says "people don't like you". (I know those weren't her exact words, I'm paraphrasing with what I imagined a kid that age might have heard in that situation.) I don't blame Kim at all for taking her kids out of the room. I think she's a pretty big stick in the mud but I was in total agreement with how she handled that situation. I felt like she was in a lose/lose situation. There was nothing she could have done there that the other housewives would have been ok with.- 190 replies

I thought it was kind of cute when Porshea realized she had almost sang a Micheal Jackson lyric. Every so often she drops her heavily rehearsed dumb act and I think she's not so terrible. Did Nene gain a lot of weight or are her clothing choices even worse than they used to be? I can't believe it was the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March. I feel old. -

I don't buy that hotel vs house storyline at all. It just didn't make sense. Why would they leave a note for Lisa? Was the hotel located in a time warp before cell phones were invented? I have friends who have a home in the Hamptons and they rent it out when they are not there. I suppose there are different parts of the Hamptons but I know my friend's place is always rented out months in advance. At least where they live I know you can't just rent a place like that without advanced notice. (I really need to try to get myself invited there.) Why was Yolanda's health advocate in the OR? I'm surprised they allowed that. How long before the pictures she took show up on instagram? I like Erika so far. I would like her more if she wasn't there to play the role of Yolanda's defender. I wish Kyle would spill whatever secrets she has about Lisa. She shouldn't throw that out there if she's not willing to go through with it. What the hell was Kyle wearing in the Hamptons? That was unfortunate. -

Given that Todd can't make the effort to open his mouth when he talks (a trait he seems to have passed on to his daughter) I was pretty amazed at how prepared he came to that meeting too. It just seemed like a lot of work for someone so perpetually sleep. Good for him for shutting Phaedra down though. -

It really struck me as punching down. Making an insensitive joke at the expense of the lady who just waxed your ass crack isn't cool. -

Yolanda told Anwar "You sit by Grandma*. I want to sit by Gigi." If I was really being petty I would point out that Gigi's name was right in the middle of the envelope in big letters and the other two were off center and smaller like they had been added in later. At least they all had hearts though. Yolanda learned that lesson. *she used a different word that I don't remember. -

I want to be very clear about something. If anyone on these boards says they have Lyme or Chronic Lyme or Neurological Lyme or whatever I believe them. I have no reason to distrust the life experiences people are sharing here. The person I don't believe is Yolanda and her case of Super Special Magical Lyme. I don't trust her because 1) the stuff she has said on the show and on other media makes no damned sense and it doesn't add up to be logical or realistic and 2) Yolanda was always mean, shady, manipulative and a lying drama queen. This Lyme business is just another tool for her to jerk people around with. I apologize if my 40% brain function has made it seem like I am discounting the experiences of anyone posting here. When I say I don't believe Yolanda and her two lesser children have chronic Lyme it's because I don't believe Yolanda, not that I don't believe what other people here have experienced with similar circumstances. -

How about Yolanda telling Kyle that there have been on long term effects of botox on the brain? That just seemed like such a weird, mean dig. First off, I doubt there have not been any studies. Botox isn't exactly a new thing and it's not like it was first tested the first time it was injected into a wealthy housewife. Second, it isn't injected into your brain so I don't think 20 years down the road people who get botox are going to start losing brain function. Third, shut up Yolanda. It's not your business what Kyle injects into her face. Oh my god, Yolanda is making me take Kyle's side so many times and I can never forgive her for that. Edited to add: I am doing a terrible job making my point here. It seemed like swipe at Kyle because of how she said it and the face she made when she said it. It looked like it was aimed at Kyle, kind of like "You better watch out! Keep it up and you might be like me some day!" It was more how I interpreted the scene than anything else. -

Confession: I get super annoyed when most people try to discuss my chronic illness with me because most people are ignorant or rude or uncaring or they mean well but they say dumb things. Sp you can imagine my surprise when I actually liked the way Kyle talked to Yolanda about Lyme. I thought she was sensitive and gentle and did a good job listening to Yolanda. I didn't think Kyle had it in her to not annoy me. Yolanda is an asshole. -
That little Ayden is a sweetheart. He looked so worried on the way to school. I wanted to walk him to school and reassure him. I only enjoy Phaedra when she's with her children. Otherwise she just seems so sad and tired and fake this season. Her talking heads always used to make me laugh because they were so over the top but now? Meh. Porsha had me at suggesting DJ needed a bucket for his thirst and then lost when she went into slur territory. That was a good .2 seconds of liking her. The best part of this episode was the flashback of the song Peter had sung for Cynthia about how before he met her he was lonely and money was tight. So romantic!

Uh-oh. This post made me realize I don't know my kids' cell numbers. Like, at all. I couldn't even dial one number of either of their numbers. I have my husband and kids listed in my phone as 1, 2, and 3 so that they are first on the list of contacts. I just know who is who. That's the limit of my number memorizing skills I guess. I love all the posts (too many and to long to quote here) about Yolanda trying to take on LisaV. No one will ever dethrone the queen! I bet Yolanda has never come up against someone like her before. She keeps going after her and she keeps losing. It's a lot more entertaining to watch than when she's sitting around looking sadly at baggies of pills. -

I think Portia is a perfectly average looking little girl. I only noticed how average looking she is because she used to be such a little cutie. I'm sure she'll come out of it just fine. Her parents are attractive people who can afford to give her anything their genes don't bless her with. In the meantime Kyle could do Portia a favor and not have her filmed a ton. She's probably a delightful kid in real life but that doesn't come across real well on the show. (I swear I'm not ragging on Portia. My kids are awesome but if they were filmed and being put on TV they wold come off as raging hell-beasts and no one would like them at all.) -

Except, I think Yolonda is poisoning herself. Maybe she's not doing it on purpose but she's putting a lot of crap in her body that doesn't belong there not to mention flushing out a lot of crap that should be there. Plus I noticed when she was talking to her "health advocate" she mentioned not eating and there there was a talking head where she said she would go without eating or drinking for three months if that would help. She's got twisted ideas about food. Humans are supposed to eat. Food is good for you! Your body needs fuel to function. I wondered if she's even considered the possibility that she would feel better and have more brain function if she stopped focusing on not eating things. Even if she isn't doing it on purpose I think she's making herself sick. -

Lisar is so full of crap. She's sitting there suggesting to Lisav and Kyle that Yolonda might have Munchhausen but then she cries to Eileen that she felt bed for engaging with someone who said Yolonda might be faking. She's trying to play it both ways and it's making her look ridiculous. If you think she's faking just say she's faking. It's not that hard! I think Yolonda is the fakest fake that ever faked. See? Kyle has never heard the word Munchhausen? -

I think the issue with Phaedra's analogy was with how she applied it, not that she made it. I mean, I'm a suburban white lady who's not afraid of black men but it would be disingenuous to pretend that wasn't a thing that happened all the time. I think the offensive part about what she said was that she was saying Kenya was like that, that she wanted Glen removed because doesn't care about black men. Which, by the way is ludicrous. I really think Phaedra was just looking for any way she could to tear Kenya down and accusing her of being afraid of black men was a really low blow. Or, um, what was said in the post just above this.- 250 replies

Upon further though I have come up with two things that really bugged me about what Phaedra said about black men. 1) She only named one black man. The next name she said was Sandra Bland. She wasn't crying about black men, she just wanted to get people worked up against Kenya. It would not have been that had to come up with the name of another black man if she had put any effort at all into it. 2) I was very recently reading (I'm sorry I don't have the stats in front of me at the moment) that black women are more likely to be the victims of violent crime, less likely to report the crimes, and less likely to have their reports acted upon than white women. So maybe Phaedra should shed a carefully timed tear for Kenya, who you could see was clearly being threatened and who was still getting blamed for what Glen did and was trying to do.- 250 replies

I watched the Glen scene again and upon second viewing I noticed that Tammy didn't even hit the ground that hard. I don't think she was really knocked out. She was pretty drunk and it looked like once she was down she just sort of fell asleep. A head injury that knocks you out cold is pretty serious and I would think would warrant a longer hospital visit than the one she had. If she was able to come back to the house later that night still looking out of it and drunk I bet she just blacked out from drinking too much. (None of this excuses Glen who is pretty clearly not a good guy. No matter how drunk Tammy was he knocked her over and didn't look back because he was trying to get to another woman and do god knows what to her.) I don't like Kenya at all but I thought it was disturbing to watch her backing up in fear when Glen headed towards her. I couldn't help but wonder if there have been other women in that same situation with Glen WITHOUT the benefit of beefy security guys. It was upsetting.- 250 replies

I couldn't help but notice how quickly Cynthia tried to lay the blame for Glen's behavior on anyone but Glen. She's an expert on giving Peter a pass on stuff he shouldn't be given a pass for and now she's extending that to random drunk guys. Cynthia, sometimes men do things wrong. It's not always a lady's fault. The other thing that made me laugh in this episode was Phaedra reporting to the paramedic that Tammy had a really strong pulse and heartbeat. Phaedra is a doctor now too? She's so full of nonsense.- 250 replies

Phaedra was so out of line to bring up Mike Brown. She was just trying to stir up emotions against Kenya. Kenya is a pain in the ass and a drama queen but she was 100% within her rights to want that man to leave. He was aggressive and scary and he looked like he would have knocked Kenya down too if he was given half a chance. He knocked his aunt down and didn't give her a second glance, who knows what he would have done to Kenya if three huge guys hadn't tackled him? Was it wrong that I laughed at the video of Tammy standing at the door looking like the walking dead?- 250 replies

This might be one of the best series finales I've ever seen. I laughed, I cried, I laughed some more. Shirtless Ron carrying Jenna out of the burning building might have been a cheap laugh on a lesser show but they managed to strike just the right balance between realistic and absurd.

I didn't care of Cynthia snotting that Kim better not ever go into the restaurant business. Cynthia's marriage isn't terrible because Peter is in the restaurant business. It's because Peter is awful and he chooses to live away from her most of the time. Cynthia should keep her marriage advice to herself.- 147 replies

No offense intended but some of the stuff on this list sounds like the kind of alternative woo that has led to Yolanda traveling all over the world to seek treatment. Not everything on that list is recognized as real medical condition. Adrenal fatigue might be diagnosed by a nautropath but most doctors will tell you it does not exist. Instead of getting better she's just getting a larger collection of "medicine" that doesn't seem to be doing anything for her. Still, I do have sympathy for Yolanda. I think she's being conned. When I was pursuing a diagnosis for my chronic illness I took a short detour down the alternative medicine route. It didn't take me long to realized Big Pharma has nothing on Big Alternative. That's for folks with deep pockets and I'm too poor for all that. Yolanda is making someone, or a lot of someones, very rich.

I have always gotten the impression that Kyle genuinely loves her nieces and nephews but I don't know if I am inclined to believe her when she says how close she is to all of them. For whatever reason I think she's a little star-stuck by the Hilton name and maybe she gets a little thrill out of being able to tell people how close she is to her Hilton relations. On the flip side, her Hilton nieces have never seemed that interested in her. I have a fuzzy memory of Paris showing up for some event or other and standing there allowing herself to be hugged when Kyle flung herself at her. Maybe I'm remembering this all wrong because I don't like Kyle or the Hilton clan but I stand by my opinion that Kyle likes being able to drop the names of her famous relatives. (Even though at this point she is arguably the most famous one in the family.)
