Yes they are paid for appearances. I believe rookies may not be paid initially and that the top pay for veterans is $200. Correct me if I am misspeaking!

I think it was in Kalli's blog that she mentioned they are there on film nights which makes it look like they are there practically every night. It makes sense they would not want to be at work from say 9am to 11 pm night after night!!

Yes I agree that the beginning at the right they looked like vets when they pan to the left, 3rd girl had really really low kicks

As far as early episodes of MTT the girls wore their personal work out clothes so it didn't look as cohesive as it did now. Did you catch on one of Kelli's twits that CMT would be telecast starting Aug 7!!!!

I agree about Colby. One thing they want is a nice abdomen but not a cut 6 pack. Not good looking in the uniform

I believe they have started training camp earlier in some of the years as I remember Kelli talking about having a Monday off due to a holiday which I assume would be Memorial Day as by Labor Day the team has already been set.

I was recently watching season 9 and they were talking to Ashley Pro about the references from former dance teachers saying she was aloof, rude, etc. In the discussion Kelli talked about how people perceived herself as very different from which she really was. I think that is so true as she comes across as firm etc such as she was when Jordan missed the team bus "This is unacceptable". Yet we have seen her tear up and talk about crying after she announces the finalists and they have to cut veterans. I am not sure the team would be as strong or that they would have such control over the brand were it not for her.

I think dance is like sports etc where parents end up paying a lot of money for travel, lessons, etc. We sent our child to a private school which was $13,000 a year by the time he was a senior. We didn't have scads of money as someone noted as we just are 2 middle class people who were willing to sacrifice for our child's education. I think others would probably sacrifice for their child to follow a dream etc. To each his own

In relation to tattoos and covering them, concealer is not a good deal. There is a great product that is available in department stores etc called dermablend which cover tats, spider veins, birthmarks, scars from burns etc. The plus is that it is waterproof and you can swim with it. In health care there is a need to cover tats and many have them on necks and arms. Just a thought

I went through the photos of the finals and did not see a photo of Jasmine's solo. Did I just miss it? Calia caught in that mid air leap looks soooo much better than last year. Felt bad for Christina sitting up front and watching everyone else get called. Can't wait for the next season to begin!

Just watched the clip. If this is an example of how on stage presence, then I can see the difficulty with having her continue when they can't really dictate who gets flashed on the HD jumbotron.

I don't know that the judges have time and if they are smart, they don't read this and simply judge on what they see.

The way Simone worded her note it thanked people for their votes. Does that mean she was fan favorite or do we even know who got that? I imagine they shut down the twitter accounts while they are announcing so that those that are cut as in vets can't post something that would reflect poorly on DCC...just my guess

I agree with Elizabeth9 that Breelan was not a fit for the team, just like Morgan. That often would be the reason that some are eliminated after the first year. I have to say that this has been the best to be in the thick of everything for several hours and to have this board almost like a chat room. It has been great!!

They have back ups for the calendar as Alyssa went to Mexico(and was in some of the "extra" videos that weren't shown in the regular episode-great editing for the runway show etc) and she was cut then in May during finals.

I wonder when we will see the entire list or if we will just hear of some names as others release it? Yikes, I'm on the edge of my seat. This has been great that we have been going through the process with them. Thanks CMT

Getting on here late. I agree that many of the vets lack the power that seems to be present in routines. Poor choices in costumes(harken back to Erica who wore a man's shirt to hide her abdomen so I don't think those clothes are the best) and poor choices in music and choreography. Wonder how those we have voted on have done? Makes me hungry to see the program now. They should have a contest for a fan or 2 to come observe the process.
