Speaking of unattractive, how are a bunch of dudes sitting around gossiping and wringing their hands over 7th-grade drama from the girls' lunch table?

Ha!  I finally managed to watch the whole episode (I kept getting called away with higher priorities--mopping the kitchen floor, for example) and thought, what are we, 12?  The whole bra on the ottoman business just reeks.

Olivia really is a desperate fame whore, isn't she!  My fake friend kissed my fake boyfriend when we were on a "break" and we now have the fake accidentally leaving an undergarment at my fake boyfriend's house when we were just fake relaxing?

Lordy, it is really hard to take this show as anything other than a parody at this point.  If that is what they are gong for, they are doing a great job.....

One of my biggest pet peeves in life is illogic, unfairness, contradictions and hypocrisy.  Another pet peeve is people having different sets of rules of people based on biases.

That is not my pet peeve at all.  I am very comfortable with having different sets of rules for various reality housewives depending on whether I like them or dislike them.  It is almost *fun* to watch the housewives this way.

I am also happy to judge people about lying about taking ozempic if they are on reality tv.  I have never had a weight problem based on my genetics but I can't stand it when we're told someone's dramatic weight loss is doing a few more push ups or giving up alcohol.  Doesn't work that way, sorry.

  3. I finally watched this episode and I still don't know why Olivia is so angry.  She and Austin never really dated, right?  So why should she care that Taylor and Austin kissed?  She should first start her conversation with Austin by saying "Thank you for getting me on this stupid show.  That was really my goal all along."

I do understand her annoyance with Taylor for lying to her about her kiss with Austin but so what?!?  Was it really any of her business to begin with?  This is the scandal that has everybody clutching their pearls?  Move on people.

Finally, a nod to a poster on the board who commented that she was surprised at the cast's lack of familiarity with pheasant.  I think it is now even farm-raised; I was able to buy a pheasant at Whole Foods last Thanksgiving.  BTW, it is delicious!

This Taylor/Austen business can keep trying but it will never be Scandoval. Olivia and Austen barely dated, Shep and Taylor were broken up and it seems like nothing much really happened anyway.

Thank you!!  This show may be over for me. The main story is the whole Austen/Taylor business?  I kept screaming in my head, "I DON'T CARE" when watching this episode.   I still don't understand what we're supposed to be upset about.

So the bottom line is Bravo let several likable or at least like-to-hate characters go and we now have Olivia, Taylor, Madison (bit players Leva, Venetia), and the new guys I'm not going to remember.  Yeah, time to re-tool this one.

  5. I finally watched this episode...I kept forgetting it was on and walking away to do something (anything) else.  I did miss how Olivia ended up at Shep's place drinking wine and discussing Austin and Taylor.  Then in the coffee shop she had to address Taylor directly.  Olivia and Austin were never an item, were they?  I mean, I know we were supposed to think they were but does Taylor owe Olivia an explanation?  The little sob scene at the end was a nice touch though.

Like many of you, I used to really like this show and even made a trip to Charleston to see the town because of Southern Charm.  Now?  I'm wondering if it is time to wrap it up.  There is nothing aspirational about watching middle aged men in backwards baseball caps day drinking.....

  6. Oh Kody, to quote "How you gonna win when you ain't right within?" Or "The quick to shoot the semen stop acting like boys and be men". Thanks Lauryn Hill for nailing it with Kody.

I just can't with him.  The cringiest thing is this asshat's words are recorded for his other 183 abandoned children to see.  That breaks my heart.

  7. I think you all have very clearly articulated my revulsion to what I saw on the season opener!

I am shuddering at Kim and her lack of maternal instincts.  As a quick background, I'm a retired professional with one adult child.  I CANNOT begin to imagine being blessed with so many children and then wake up one day and decide you're done with all of it.  Which child will write the sequel to I'm Glad My Mom Died?

Other than that, they're all pretty creepy.

Erin was a shitty host for serving something as specific as caviar for lunch, without other options and without checking to see if it fit the dietary needs/preferences of her guests.

I thought the caviar hors was served around 4 PM--sort of an after lunch and before dinner treat.  I would have loved it!  Expecting a meal was ridiculous.

Also the caviar on a chip was done in Southern Charm (Patricia served it).  I'd like to try the caviar on a Pringle with a dollop of sour cream (I prefer it to creme fraiche).

The chick (Jessel?) going on and on about the green nightgown was waaaaay too much.  It was a gift.  Say thank you and move on if you don't like it.  I don't think anybody is expecting to see it in Playboy. Complaining about the size was also too much--sure look like the size was correct!

  9. I'm watching this for the first time and I've never seen Yellowstone.  I'm liking it very much.  WRT Abilene, I believe they are referencing Abilene KS (which we'll probably learn in an upcoming episode or two).

Isn’t it a conflict of interest for Racky to return to the show straight out of a mental health facility?

I assert that Raquel is not an inpatient at an accredited mental health unit or facility; she does not have a diagnosis that would indicate inpatient care is the best treatment option for her.  Even if you are private pay, accredited institutions do not want inpatients in their facility if other levels of care are appropriate.  Accrediting bodies look at admission criteria and lengths of stay.  Also, while an inpatient, things like hospital acquired infections/falls, and other bad things can happen and get reviewed by these accrediting bodies.

Google average lengths of stay for inpatient admissions; I think they are less than 10 days.  She is too old for care in a Residential Treatment Center (we cover up to age 21)(and once again, diagnosis).  If anything, she is in an intensive outpatient program which is outpatient (by definition).

Regardless, I don't really want to see her back.  I also don't want the show to return "as is."  I think it would be most successful to move the location to a LVP Las Vegas property and have some of the old cast come back for appearances to coach and mentor the new cast.  Ariana could be showcased bartending and Shena could be, waitressing?  James, DJing?  You get the idea.

The thought that Raquel saved the show doesn't fly with me.  I guess it gave Bravo one more season but it is still dying--it is just going to take us 10-12 more episodes to get there.

Her being in beauty pageants probably exacerbated any insecurities she already had.  Gives me more reason to feel for her.

I disagree.  Her being on VPR and her actions/betrayal while in the public eye as a cast member of a reality show and being judged as completely unacceptable to civilized society probably has more to do with it.  Where is she now?  A convent?!?  Lordy, Rachel/Raquel is 28.  The talk of her parents 'letting" her return is absurd.

They regret it BECAUSE they went to Twitter and they see that no one is on board with how they acted.  I’m sure a pr person called up People panicking because people are turning on them.

You are probably right however I am on board with how they reacted to Rachel/Raquel.  She is a skank who deserves to get called out for being a skank.  I see her hand-wringing for what it is--a ruse.  Dumb like a fox, that one.

The person with mental health (trust) issues going forward will likely be Ariana who was betrayed by both her boyfriend and close friend.  I'm saving my sympathy for her.  Not Tom.  Not Raquel.  They both deserve the consequences they are receiving for their actions.

  12. Ariana Madix on the cover of Glamour's June 2023 issue. #PumpRules

    This is beyond awesome!!!!!

Bud Light needs to hire her for a commercial.  Show her chopping wood or something to Carrie Underwood's song.  The last scene is her popping a Bud Light and taking a big swig to "The next time that he cheats, you know it won't be on me..."

And boy, is Rachel ever smug during her final interview. She is so pleased with herself for fooling Ariana and the gals. There's no remorse or empathy. Definition of a sociopath.

IKR!  My daughter (a clinician but not her clinician) thinks she is on the autism spectrum.  I think at the minimum she was drugged up on some anti-anxiety medication.

Regardless, sleeping together in Mexico and yet making out with Schwartz,  the thunderbolt necklace, and Tom dressing up as Rachel for Halloween is just plain creepy.  That is sociopathic!

I don't read other message boards so I can't speak to their sentiments but I'm still completely team Ariana.  I believe she was pretty composed considering the reunion was filmed two or three weeks after the world found out about the skanks.

I could also watch that Uber eats commercial every day!

Everyone makes mistakes, this woman had literally the whole country come for her with rage and sick anger.  I think when I saw that people call her “subhuman” my whole thought process changed and I am disgusted that anyone would say that about another human being. Who are these perfect people and why are they so angry at someone they don’t know?

I have a different perspective regarding Rachel.  First, she is 28.  If she had joined the Army at age 18, she would be halfway to a military retirement and would likely have some real responsibility with respect to weapons systems.  She is no young kitten.

Second, she comes from the pageant world.  While I have never been part of that particular subculture, I suspect the elbows are sharp and many.  This isn't a situation where she suddenly finds herself with people who wish her less than the best.

Third, Rachel is now among the pantheon of Bravolebrity villains.  Can't her PR team figure out a way to use it?  Can she open up for Erica Jane at her LV show?  Market a "seductress" perfume or something?  The time for hand-wringing is over.  She needs to quit trying to make herself the victim, acknowledge the past and move on.  I think she'll find we will all move on with her.

  15. Just caught the episode.  My two take aways are--"dungarees"--thinking I'll bet Danielle read Trixie Belden too!  No, just me?  The second was a shot of a Bud Light bottle.  Jarring.

I always multi-task when I watch Bravo shows and I couldn't believe every time I turned around Danielle was crying.  As everybody else has said, this is not normal behavior but I also blame some of this on alcohol.  That doesn't work once everybody is sober though.  Enough!

  16. Why isn't Tom in LA working on his businesses?  Has he already given up and resigned himself to losing them?  Otherwise, as a co-owner or investor, I'd be pretty pissed he is AWOL so he can find his own inner peace or something.

Tom really deserves every bad thing that happens to him......Icarus much?

I'm scratching my head about this.  First, do we believe this is an inpatient facility or is she in some sort of an outpatient/intensive outpatient program?  My vote is on the latter--I don't think you can check yourself into an inpatient facility like it is a stay at a Hilton.

Second, so what?  She is some sort of program.  I'm glad she is getting the help she thinks she needs but it does not change my opinion of her.

don't see that there's a definitive right or wrong thing to do regarding the resort room. But can no one ever just be the bigger person. Like ever? Just even one time?

Thank you!  Seriously, has Katie ever been gracious?  She is just so dour.

Mr HottestHW has been forced to watch this show lately and his comment to me the other night while watching one of Lala’s talking heads was “what’s wrong with this girl?”referring to how she talks.

And thank you!  I really don't care who Lala sleeps with but she is just so coarse.  Perhaps she thinks she is being young and edgy? This morning I was comparing her in my mind to the Countess; apparently she likes to sleep around as well.  The difference is that the Countess keeps a lot of it to herself.  Take that as a lesson, Lala.  You really can leave certain thoughts unsaid.

  19. All politics aside, these people really are the deplorables....

Lauren, thank you so much for giving your permission for Rachel and Oliver to make out at the disco.  How noblesse oblige of you.  Also, thank you for making me feel sympathetic toward Rachel.  If you can't take barbs thrown at you, perhaps don't start the fight?

Katie, for a weekend that was supposed to be about you, you seemed quite school-marmish.  I wouldn't want to hang out with you either.  I missed the point about the Lake Havasu stop.  Why didn't they just stay in Las Vegas?  Uh, and no, the bar at Lake Havasu doesn't represent the America outside of WeHO.

Guess Ii'm going to have to give it to Charlie for the win.  The episode would have been terrible without her.
