  1. Ive been reading Anson Mount apparently wanted a different ending to the story. I wonder what that was.
  2. At least we got some "closure" as far as Cullen is concerned. The rest of his storyline is left to our imaginations. Wouldnt he be considered a "deserter" now after accepting the commission then leaving? Is so he will never be able to return home. Perhaps that was his intention all along.
  3. Im hoping weve already seen the worst.(Eternal Optimist) Hopefully something positive comes out of the remaining episodes besides the railroad being completed.
  4. I think Mei left because she thought it would be more dangerous for her and Cullen if she stayed. She talked of a "safe place" to go to. I assume thats where she went. She knew Cullen wouldnt go because the railroad wasnt finished.
  5. Only two episodes left to sort out the remaining storylines not to mention finishing the railroad. Time is running out for Cullen too I think. He appears to be in his mid 40s. Thats quite an age for a man back then. Hes had a harsh life. It looks like its starting to catch up with him.
  6. I would not be surprised if Mei was Cullens last chance at happiness. Im just not sure the writers want him to have any. I find it somewhat ironic that despite the violent life Cullen has led Mei is the one with with a price on her head.
  7. Cullen may end up with Mei yet. Theres no guarantee of that though. Not on this show. Hell end up dead, alone like Durrant or with someone. These last few episodes have been a "mad rush" to wrap up the storylines which includes finishing the railroad.
  8. I believe the box contained tea of some sort. Meis father told her when the box was empty they could go back home. The piece of paper in the box was a message I think written in Chinese. Dont know what it said. Perhaps well never know.
  9. One thing is certain. Hes all alone now. All he has left is the railroad. The show has come full circle. After taking out Chang and his men he may very well end up with a bounty on his head as well.
  10. The writers dont seem to want Cullen to content for to long. That theme has been running through the whole series from the start.
  11. Yes! Maggie Palmer was killed in last weeks episode after getting involved with one of Durrants schemes. It would appear that Cullen was unaware of her demise.
  12. Is that it for Mei? Leave us dangling wondering what happens to her. Why would she be any safer back home in China?
  13. Happy endings don't seem to be on the writers minds to much at least where Cullen is concerned.
  14. I think it goes back to the start of season 3 when they started "reinventing" Cullen and put him on the road to"redemption".
  15. Now that the Swede is dead(finally) the rest seems somewhat anticlimactic namely the finishing of the railroad. He was left to linger far to long. It would appear that Cullens fate is sealed. I don't see him straying to far from his son. The fate of Mei is yet to be played out. Does she survive or does she get to suffer the same fate that others who have gotten close to Cullen have suffered?
  16. Normally I don't have a problem with "cliffhangers". However Im somewhat apprehensive about this one. I have no idea when or if we will get to see any more episodes. Episodes with Gillian and David in them.
  17. Now we get to wait and see when or if Gillian and David have the time to do a few more episodes. Could be a long wait. I still have it in the back of my mind they are grooming those two new agents for something.
  18. I don't think we will see to many episodes with David and Gillian in them. Don't seem to be to interested in the idea of new agents. Looking forward to seeing Annabeth Gish though.
  19. Its been great seeing M&S(David & Gillian) back on my TV screen. Thoes two made the Xfiles what it was. I say "was" because I think Ive seen enough of this new series to conclude that that the shows best years are behind it. Hopefully we get some more episodes at some point with David and Gillian front and centre doing what they do best.
  20. I got the impression early on that David and Gillian weren't looking to get into any kind of long term commitment. Hopefully we arent left dangling after the six episodes.
  21. For me Mulder and Scully are the X-Files. Not "Copy Cat" versions of them. Have no plans really in investing a lot of time on that approach. Having said that I wouldn't mind seeing Doggett and Ryes if they can get the original actors.
  22. It appears the William storyline is not a favorite with everyone. Having said that its obvious William is very much on the minds of both Mulder and Scully not to mention the writers. Resolution(if we get any) will most likely depend on how long this new series lasts and perhaps the availability of both DD and Gillian Anderson for future episodes.(if we get any)
  23. As far as the William storyline is concerned the writers have two choices. Go on torturing Mulder and Scully this way or give the storyline some kind of resolution. Hopefully the latter.
  24. Perhaps Im alone in my thoughts. Both Mulder and Scully come across as "somewhat damaged goods". Its difficult for me to visualize either one of them with someone else.
  25. I think Mulder cares more than he lets on at times. Hes got a lot on his mind. I think he feels guilty about what happened to William and probably feels responsible for some of the things that have happened to Scully along the way.
