  1. I used to babysit a girl named Danielle Michelle. Her last name ended in elle too.

    I never knew Diem's name wasn't Diem.

I don't believe in god but I hope that she is resting peacefully and pain free. I hope she finds the health and happiness in her afterlife that she didn't have here.

Same here, I always thought her name was Diem as well.

  2. Take it for what it is but over on Survivor Wiki it said that Terry was considered for Micronesia and Heroes vs. Villains but was cut from both.  They then wanted to bring him back for the first Blood vs. Water but his daughter was too young to make the show.  Granted anyone can edit that site so who knows if it is true or not.

I am not sure I buy the whole Savage was not brought back because he was boring.  Hell Amber seemed to have the personality of a stick in the mud and she was brought back.  Granted she is a hot woman and that probably had more to do with it.

  3. I think if Keith was a smart and cunning player or hell even a merely good player, he would have whipped out that idol after the votes and given it to Josh.  I know it's hard to see beyond using it strictly for yourself, but that could have been a turning point.  I just keep thinking that's what somebody who really has game like Parvati would have done.  Alas, I knew he wouldn't  even think of it.

I think Keith would only ever give his Idol to Wes and even then I am wondering if he would do that.  The thing is giving the Idol to Josh would not really do much, because they would basically be in a tie situation the next week.  Which means that someone would have to be convinced to flip.

    Could it be done?

Yes, but maybe Keith did not want to take that risk or maybe he did not even think about that possibility.

Please add my name to the list to find out how that team selection worked for the reward challenge. I really need to know who was responsible for creating Team "Snowball's Chance in Hell" so I can laugh at them.

Yeah just to echo everyone else, the moment I saw that team I had to laugh because I think we all knew they had no chance to win.

Cool, walk away from the camp and spit in an area that is not close to where you live or people walk.

Yeah I mean they must not go to the bathroom (For lack of better words because well there are no bathrooms out there) in camp so how hard is it to step outside of camp to spit.

  4. I was just on Survivor Wiki and I noticed that after tonight Baylor has fifteen votes cast against her.  I was wondering if she was coming close to the record for having the most votes cast against her in a single season.  I am not sure who even has the record, I think at one time it was Penner during his first season but I am not sure if that is still the case.

  5. Seriously, you have a worthy player like Josh getting voted out so early and that doofus Alec still there. There's no justice in the world. Hopefully, he has fun at Ponderosa.

I brought this over from Josh's thread because my comment has more to do with the episode in general.  I was thinking the same thing, I freely admit the editors fooled me a bit tonight I thought that Alec was probably going to go because of how they were focusing on his rudeness.  Obviously I figured out that Josh was still the target when the kept on saying it over and over again but there was a brief moment where I was sure Alec was going to be the next to go.

  6. Well, he sure got a great (non) winners edit. He drove the show for 8 episodes as the storyteller. I guess it's Jeremy's full time job now.

I have to admit I thought for sure he would either be the winner or at the very least he would make it to the final four.  I was shocked seeing him go tonight but I guess I really shouldn't have been.

  7. She dumped one bowl of trail mix, a cereal bowl size. I really thought from the previews that she'd come across an idol clue in one of the food containers and that was what had everyone so pissed off. To find out they were waging full scale war over trail mix was ridiculous, to me.

I thought the same thing that you did, meaning that she found either an idol or an idol clue and took it and someone saw her do it.

In regards to the jury I thought after Purple Kelly and NaOnka quit during their season anybody who quit would have their right to serve on the jury revoked.

  8. But do you actually know Romana? I mean, have you watched her adventures, do you know her character? Because it would be the most horrific retcon of who she is to have her turn into evil Missy. The Master, I can believe. The Rani I could have believed. But not Romana.

Could a story be told about a good character going bad? Yes, but that story would have to be extremely well told to be worth destroying a fabulous character like Romana, the reasoning would have to be well thought through and well explained, and this show at this time is not capable of that.

Yes I did watch every episode she was on and like I said in my post I do think it could be possible.  They would not even have to do a big retcon to do it.  They could have set it up so that she had a bad regeneration where she went crazy.  Something along the lines of what they did with Colin Baker's Doctor.  Granted the sixth Doctor eventually became stable but they could have easily devoted some time to showing you what happened to her and why she ended up that way.

  9. Cybermen? Cybermen? Seriously? The whole season was co-opted for the damn Cybermen?

First Season - Bad Wolf = Daleks

Second Season = Daleks + Cybermen fighting

    Season 3 = The Master

    Season 4 - Doctor Donna = Daleks

Season 5 - Pandorica = The Doctor's enemies (Daleks, Cybermen) vs the Universe

Season 6 - The Silence (a NEW enemy for once)

Season 7 - The Great Intelligence (and apparently, The Master)

Season 8 - The Master and Cybermen

Cybermen are 1 episode stories at most. Hell, Daleks only warrant 2. Jesus, couldn't they have made the Time Lady The Rani or maybe Romana. THAT would have been interesting.

This is becoming the same stories and the same villains over and over. There's more plot development on The Vampire Diaries.

I think it was for shock purposes, you know seeing the Master becoming a woman.  Maybe it is their way of trying to see how it flies with the fans in terms of backlash.  Maybe this will lead to the next incarnation of the Doctor being a woman.

I thought for sure Missy was going to be either the Rani or Romana.  I was leaning towards Romana up until the big reveal because Romana was left in E-Space (Well she chose to stay there but the writers could easily chalk that up to being a mentally unstable incarnation.) and K-9 often called her mistress.  I was disappointed that she ended up being the Master, to me there have only been two good Masters Roger Delgado and Anthony Ainley.  As much as I like Eric Roberts and John Simm they never felt like the Master to me.

  10. The only time we get accurate, good spoilers is when there are former players in the game. They cannot keep their mouths shut.

There have been seasons that had no former players on it that were spoiled pretty well.  If I remember right Pearl Islands was spoiled pretty accurately.

  11. Hopefully all the Twinnie Haters will start giving Natalie some slack if they can see she clearly is playing a great game. She showed herself to be strategic tonight and for the entire season has put her athleticism to use in the challenges and has never been a liability.

It may turn out Nadia going home was the best thing for her game.

Meanwhile I so wanted Keith to go home just for the pleasure of seeing Dale fess up to John that he didn't really have an idol. Dale's team is some of the losingest losers ever on the show!

Sorry that will not be happening in my case.  Nothing she can do will make me cut her some slack and I really do not think she is playing that great of a game.

  12. I never saw this first run (Because I did not have Starz) and I was not even going to bother watching it when I saw it on Syfy.  But I decided to watch it and I became hooked.  I love this show now that I gave it a chance, I will say that I think Andy was better in the role.

It is funny how many of the actors on the show have or are popping up in other shows that I watch.  I will admit to feeling very stupid though because after I start watching shows I tend to look up the cast on Wikipedia or IMDB to see what other stuff they were on that I might have watched.  Well anyway I did not realized that Crixus was played by Manu Bennett from Arrow fame.  I spent all of my time saying to myself, "This guy looks so familiar.  I wonder what I saw him in before."  When I looked him up I felt like a complete idiot.  I had spent two years watching him on Arrow and I just did not realize it was the same guy.

I have to say I absolutely have a huge crush on Viva Bianca.  There is something so sexy about how devious she is.

  13. Cal seems familiar to me. I've met guys like him before.

Many years ago, when I worked at a state psychiatric hospital. During group sessions, there would always be a Cal who thought he was smarter than everyone else, going on and on about shit that didn't make sense.

Sadly enough there was always someone listening with rapt attention, hanging on to every word as though he were some wise philosopher.

When I read this I laughed a little because it sounded like you were talking about Charlie Manson.

  14. This is more of a general comment on the season as a whole rather than about this specific episode.  I just wanted to say that I am finding the season to be very boring thus far.  I have not really been able to retain who is who besides Val, Josh, John Rocker, the Twins, Dale and Baylor.  Shoot I can't even remember what Val's husband name is despite the fact that he is a major player thus far.  I think if this season was more interesting I probably would be able to retain their names better.

  15. Fruit eating hippies die young?

Sorry, last night's The Walking Dead episode is still echoing in my brain.....

Had I not watched last night's Talking Dead I would have never made the connection.  Now I want to see his first episode.

  16. Prostitution seemed to be one theme.

Broadway? maybe? (because of the show at the end.)

The TV show Life on Mars, was about a man who travelled back in time, somehow.

Something to do with NASA, and/or space?

I'm awful at this, as well. I didn't see the preview for next week.

Those are actually pretty good speculations.  I did find it odd that she sang Life on Mars seeing how the show takes place in the 1950's and David Bowie did not write the song until around the early 1970's.  So you might be on to something there about space or time travel.  Maybe the great Phillip Glenister will show up in the cast next season.  Now that would be awesome.

  17. I just read an article where they interviewed Ryan Murphy and he said that there were hints in last night's episode and next week's episode about what next season is going to be about.  I am terrible at picking up clues like that so I was wondering if anyone picked up on any clues.

  18. I don't think she ran off because of his being called out for his bigotry.  Unless it was edited out, I don't think that ever came up at the Exile Island Duel.  Rather, he was called out as being the one running the show on his Tribe, and therefore the one who should be a target.

And I don't think Jeremy brought up the bigotry stuff back at camp (when he referred to Rocker's making "homosexual" comments, heh) until after Julie walked away.

I'll never be one to defend John Rocker, but it seems to me that the challenge was set up to invite those sorts of run-ins.  It was designed to have the competing pairs intersecting with each other.  For that matter, it seemed to me that in her last time through the "twinnie" might've thrown a hip at the other team.

Exactly, they put these challenges in to cause drama and to have those sort of run-ins.  Hell it seems they run that Clay choking challenge nearly every other season, so you know the producers want to see the players clash like that.  With this being a Blood vs. Water season I would expect to see even more of these types of challenges, so the viewers can see just what loved ones will do to each other in order to win the money.

By no means am I a John Rocker fan but I thought he handled himself pretty well considering he had a shrill screaming at him.  It is funny but I made the comment before the Immunity Challenge to my father that Natalie always seems to have to be in the mix with everything.  She is always the most vocal person cheering, she always has to pick fights.  That chick annoys the hell out of me and I hope she goes soon.

  19. Well said Kimber, I never get why people on Survivor or Big Brother want to make alliances based on gender.  It is just no logical in my opinion, like Kimber said if aligning with all women is the best for your game then so be it.  However, I would never go on a show like Survivor with the express purpose of working with all men.  I would want to work with people who I think could help me get further and that I could eventually beat and I think that is why Baylor decided to work with the men.

  20. It seems funny that a good majority of the cast know who he is.  I guess that is what you get for making the comments that he did.  I wonder why only one person knew who Jeff Kent was in his season?

  21. I read Whitney is still mad at Cochran for flipping.  They were the idiots who made it clear he was at the bottom with them.  I don't like them.

Yeah that is why I do not like her as well.  That tribe treated him like shit for the most part and made it clear to him that he was on the bottom, so why would he not flip.

  22. I have a feeling it is going to be a woman, I am not sure why that is the case but I do.  As to who, I am not sure but I went with Baylor.

Edited to add: I do not have a proven track record for these things as I picked Kass (Or was it Cass?) to win last season and we all saw how that turned out...

  23. Yeah I saw Frank as well.

So glad the Miami chicks went out first, I love how the one who had a scratch on her arm looked super pissed that the guys would not give up their taxi to the two chicks that had screwed them earlier.

They are probably used to getting their way because of how they look and this was one time that did not work for them.
