That was so strange, I would love to know if that was real or not.

What a creep this guy was. I remember him from the last time, why does he target straight guys?

Thinking about it some more, I wonder if the whole thing was fake? Was the 18 year old guy in on it too, because what are the chances that another guy that the catfish was catfishing just happened to contact the show? The kid seemed genuine in his feelings, but maybe he's just a really good actor. I hate having to second guess everyone on the show now. It's like the show is catfishing us!

This particular catfish seems to get off on trying to turn straight guys. Like a lot of the catfish on this show, they seem to have a psychological issue that has not been addressed because they don't see it as an issue. Also, them targeting a 18 year old is just gross.

  2. Why does the show keep giving wackadoodle fame whores a platform? I’m guessing because they think it’s sensational tv, but it’s getting old. Also, I wonder if the producers were hoping that Nev and Kami would figure out who the catfish was on their own, and when they didn’t, they staged the bit with the hotel worker saying something in order to jog their memory?

When the kid first had his slightly violent breakdown, I was thinking that maybe the catfish was the one who was dodging a bullet. But by the end, I wouldn’t have minded seeing him give the catfish a piece of his mind in person.

Since Edward really does love Augusta and was ready to run away with her, why wouldn't he take up Colbourne's unexpected offer of marriage?  Does he think he might revert to his old ways and hurt her?  That was quite unclear and subtle when everything else in the show is is explained fully.

I also thought it was strange that he didn't accept the offer to marry her in a proper way. All I can think is that he realized that running away with her was a bad thing, and therefore he's not completely reformed and doesn't deserve her. I think his aunt did a good job of getting in his head and making him believe that he's not a good man. I feel a bit bad for him, although I didn't like how he crushed Augusta's heart. I think he does love her, so he could have found a better way of breaking things off.

Like others have said, there's going to be a lot to cover in the final episode.

Okay, can anyone tell me what Nick's costume was supposed to be?

I don't think he was supposed to be anyone. He was wearing a designer coat, and the colors were a bit reminiscent of a comic. Reminded me a bit of Dick Tracy.

Katy really enjoyed teasing a lot of these contestants tonight. "We don't think you're meant for the top 24...you're more like top 10!" Like, really?

I absolutely hate how she has to tease almost everyone instead of just giving them the news straight. I guess you could argue that it's ok, because she only does it to those that are going through, so in the end they are getting good news. But I think it's cruel to toy with their emotions. The show could change someone's life, and she seems to enjoy messing with them.

  6. I think I’m the only person who doesn’t want to see Arthur get with anyone. I found it refreshing in an earlier season  when he basically said he enjoyed being by himself. Although that could have been a cover and hinted to him being gay, I was hoping he truly meant that he likes being single. This show is trying to pair everyone up, but not everyone wants to be in a romantic relationship.

I think Edward is sincere in his feelings, but he’s going to have to do something a lot more than shoot 16 birds to show he’s changed.

  7. Yes, Bruno is back! The way Olivia said it was good to see him made it sound like he had gone AWOL and just decided to pop back into work. I don’t remember Olivia being such a hard ass. Maybe it’s just because she has so many new detectives, but it comes off like she’s trying to be tough just so she’ll get respect. She’s treating them like children, although to be fair, Muncy does act like a child sometimes. At least Olivia softened up a bit at the end.

This episode was a little odd in the way the story unfolded and the way everyone acted. I don’t really understand why most of the team was so set against Muncy’s brother. I found him more likable than her.

I’m not loving the flirting between Muncy and Velasco. We don’t always need a romance between main characters.

Sham and Phillip- that was the fakest shit that’s ever faked.  No Academy Awards will be handed out tonight.

Came here just to see if there would be comments like this. It seemed sketchy from the beginning but that reveal performance was something else. I wonder if her name is really Sham or if she thought it was apropos?

  9. There was an article on the Yahoo homepage about Fire’s audition, and it said:

Of course, it was probably all a made-for-TV setup; I’m not even sure if Fire told her whole story, since the fan site Idol Chatter reports that she works for the Humane Society, was once a E2 Private in the U.S. Army, and was recently accepted to her “dream school,” the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.

Maybe Grogu's bassinet automatically stores itself in the bottom of the ship and drops when needed again?

While we have already seen Din sleep in the ship and Grogu is probably perfectly happy to sleep in Din's arms they need more space! Seriously, I don't even want to contemplate how they are going to the toilet in the ship.

Din's old ship was like a RV, a mobile home on wheels. His new ship is like a fancy sports car. It requires stopping at rest stops for food and bathroom breaks. Seems like a lot of fans, including me, miss the razor crest. Maybe he'll come across another one that he can buy.

Yeah I don’t believe you serve six months in prison for public intoxication.

I could be wrong but I thought the 6 months was for the other crime that he didn’t mention. He was drinking, the police came and discovered he had a warrant in another state. Either way, he definitely wasn’t very forthcoming and I just hope he’s getting his life back on track. Not sure why the girl would want to get with him, but I guess everyone deserves a chance.

I don’t mind Nev’s wife, but I don’t think she brings that much to the show.

  12. Maybe it's like in Loki, where a new variant timeline is created. So the original timeline continues on, where Gavin is still dead, and Eve and Izzy are no longer there because they went through a portal. I think some of you might prefer watching that timeline. lol

Lucas, shut up. You have no right to tell everyone that Veronica is pregnant. Shallow point: I can't stand his face. To me, one of the ugliest faces I have ever seen. Good thing that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I fell the same about Gavin, with the added feature of forever brooding face

Wow, I think Lucas and Gavin are the two hottest guys on the show. 🤷‍♀️  To each their own.

William is a major catch!! He’s an incredibly handsome, respected Detective Inspector. The most unrealistic thing about all this Arabella stuff is that this seems to be the first time Eliza has witnessed a woman hit on William in front of her after all these years of knowing him. Wasn’t it shown in S2 that William’s stuck around London (rejecting out of town promotions) solely because he wanted to remain with Eliza, thinking he might have chance with her? While I felt sorry for Eliza standing there with her cake, there’s been numerous times Eliza’s been oblivious to William’s feelings about her. Maybe she needs to feel what it’s like when William doesn’t drop everything & make her #1 for a change.

If I remember correctly, William was being forced out of town by Fitzroy's father, but then Fitzroy got all the detectives together to stand up to his father. But apparently William's been offered numerous jobs outside of London and has always turned them down. I do think part of the reason is because he doesn't want to leave Eliza, and I think she's a bit oblivious to that. Although I don't think she's completely oblivious to his feelings towards her in general, I think she's just scared.

The most serious relationship we've seen William in has been with Eliza, when they started going out to dinner together on a constant basis. So maybe Eliza hasn't really seen him with another woman, at least not one that she needs to worry about. In the first season, she mentioned a few times about what a cad he is. I think she saw his other dalliances as nothing serious, but Arabella is more upperclass and has the potential to be serious competition for his affections. Plus, with Arabella being Eliza's former bully, seeing them together hurts even more. I do hope it's a wake up call for her. A man like him won't stay single forever!

He only broke the oath when he removed his helmet in front of Grogu.

And in front of Bill Burr and some empire folks! The helmet rule is stupid, so I hope Din drops it at some point, but I still don't want him taking it off too much. Wearing it adds some mystique. I still wonder if there's a loophole in the rule that allows them to remove the helmet in front of their family, assuming they're even allowed to get married and have children? I thought the rule was in place to protect their identities, but you'd think they'd be safe with their families.

I'm sure that was an intentional misdirect, or else they would have had the kid be blond or red-haired, or else have a British accent or otherwise be totally unlike Din instead of casting a kid you could kind of imagine could be a young Din.

Fun fact: the kid is Jimmy Kimmel's nephew, Wesley Kimmel. It was talked about it when Jon Favreau was on Jimmy's show the other night. Wesley also played the Tusken child that bonded with Boba Fett, and it sounds like the show runners liked his work on BOBF, and decided to give him another job.

I agree that Petra's mother might be Gavin's sister. I also agree that Petra's mother might be Levi's wife, which means Petra is Levi's daughter.

When they showed Levi's tattoo, I figured Levi had something to do with the army group that Petra's mother was a part of, so my guess is that she's going to be Levi's wife. Maybe she's also Gavin's sister, which would make Gavin and Levi brother in laws! There's an interview with the show creator, and the only thing he said about Petra's lineage is

    Spoiler

She is not Lucas and Veronica’s daughter

Also from the interview, I liked that the interviewer was basically calling the show out on the contrivances:

TVLINE | Those magically appearing divorce papers that Riley found, that read to me like you just want Sam available for romantic action in Season 3.
We want him to be, yes. He’s had these divorce papers the whole time, and he’s hoped the whole time that “when I do get home, I’ll be able to fix things.”

TVLINE | Has he had them “the whole time” though, David..? Or did he only start having them when you got deep into writing Season 2 and decided they’d suddenly appear in his backpack?
[Laughs] I can’t reveal my secrets.

That whole sequence with Eve going back 4 hours to warn Gavin was so dumb.

I didn't understand this sequence of events at all, although I do think she needed to go back through the portal, otherwise there would have been 2 of her in the timeline. But I don't understand why Levi and Ty went through the portal? Wouldn't there have been 2 of them in the future then? I guess it's pointless to try to understand.

I did get a chuckle out of that one guy calling Lucas 'Old Spice' when he showed up on the horse.

5 hours ago, Dowel Jones said:

And that domesticated horse.  I'm pretty sure the various horse ancestors did not look anything like modern day horses.  So how did it get there?  Did it gallop through a portal at some point?

I think it came through a portal at some point. The one thing I am looking forward to next season is seeing all the various people and things that came through all the different portals that just opened up. It's one of the more interesting aspects of the show that they haven't really taken advantage of.

Well in the original show, when the person was in the waiting room, if they looked in the mirror they saw Sam.

Thanks! I didn’t remember that. So it sounds like they swap bodies. I would think the same thing happens since the show seems to be mostly following the canon of the original show… except that they’ve never mentioned having a waiting room.

Magic has said that after Sam leapt into him he didn't remember anything that happened, but had visions of him. So they are going with the idea that people who were leapt into have visions like that.

I’ve always figured that once a person goes back into their own body, they’re not supposed to have any memory of being leapt into. But clearly some fragments remain. The part I don’t understand is how they would have visions of what the person that leapt into them looks like. The physical body is separate from the consciousness. Although I guess we don’t know what happens to the leapers physical body, do we? I hope they get a chance to explain that.

I think they said something like the wedding people agreed to extend their facility for a few more hours (presumably after they were done?) Still far fetched, but not quite as bad as giving up the venue completely.

Thanks, that makes more sense, albeit still unlikely. lol

  20. The only thing I didn't like about this episode was how a couple who just got married gave up their wedding venue so a bunch of strangers could turn it into a restaurant. I can handle leaping through time, but that part was just too far fetched. 😆

I'm confused how that guy knows that it was Ian who leapt into him. If I remember correctly, in the original show, the person being leaped into gets placed into a holding cell, where they could talk to people in the lab, but they never interacted with Sam. Is that not the case now? I always felt bad for the people being leapt into because they didn't get to actually experience some very important moments in their lives. I wonder if they at least have memories of it?

The ending was painfully cheesy, those effects were so embarrassing, it would have been so much better if they just ended with Olivia reading his book to him, then maybe have him flashback to his wife and him as kids and then them as adults, that would have been a perfect nice bittersweet ending for the story.

I agree that would have been a much better ending, but I thought the effects were pretty good for what they were trying to show. Reminded me of a mashup between Le Petit Prince and the music video for Tonight, Tonight by The Smashing Pumpkins.

This would have been a better showcase for her and Benson if she could have gotten over her need to have every man that passes through tell Benson how special and attractive she is.

I was actually starting to wonder if she has it in her contract that someone has to compliment her looks in every episode, even if it’s a perp doing it in a creepy way. Or maybe it’s just a running joke/game with the writers to figure out how to squeeze it into an episode.

So, we get confirmation that Veronica is around Pre-Med's age, which means, at BEST, Veronica is 20/21. And Lucas looks 30 years old. And we're supposed to root for them as a couple. He looks too old and she looks too young.

I guess I wasn't paying attention. Can you please remind me what was said about their ages? Even though Lucas looks 30, I don't think he's meant to be that old in the show. I was more skeeved out by Eve telling her high school aged daughter to go talk to the adult men who were eyeing her up at the wedding.

When she mentioned the chef at the restaurant she specifically said CHEF and when she mentioned the cook at home -- she specifically said COOK.

So I took that to mean they are two separate people.

That makes sense. I should have said cook in my post. My point was just that there’s no reason that Eliza and William couldn’t also have a cook/maid (which Eliza already has) so that Eliza could continue working, instead of having to care for the household all by herself.
