  1. I enjoyed this episode. Favorite bits were William yelling at the White Rabbit clerk and Eliza telling William, Oh, you're experiencing prejudice in your job, whatever might that feel like? I didn't think the daughter had anything to do with the photos, since I thought she lacked the skill. So that was a surprise. Hopefully her father or new mom gives her some rouge to play with so she's not always pricking her finger! Yikes.

There was definitely some eye sex on the part of William in this episode, which I didn't really see in earlier episodes. And he was softer with Eliza than he has been in the past, so I think he's starting to realize his feelings for her. I don't know if he full on loves her yet, or would even consider marrying her. He honestly doesn't seem like the marrying type to me, but who knows. I also didn't get the feeling from Eliza that she was that interested in William, but reading this thread, I have changed my mine! lol  I don't really know what a courtship between the two of them would like. I think it would be a bit unusual and fun to watch!

I watched some of season 1 of Jamestown, and although I thought Stuart Martin was cute, the level of attractiveness was nothing like it is here. Holy heck, William is FINE. He can pull off a beard, which many men can't, and his Scottish accent is swoon worthy. Someone pass the smelling salts. I'm really looking forward to next week where we'll get this scene 😅 (not spoilery to the plot, but is still a spoiler)

Thanks, so I guess she decide to be dramatic and cut herself instead? I still see her coming around. She clearly knows Wilford is dangerous, hence blocking out what was happening with Kevin with the music and headphones.

I think when her mom announced she'd be leaving her, again, she got upset and had an unconscious reaction and tightened her fist. Ergo ouchie. I think her reaction shows that she cares about her mom, even though she tries to act like she doesn't. At some point I think she'll have to decide between her mom and Wilford, and will choose her mom.

That was murder though. Not very good of the show to push a psa like that for something that was coerced.  Clearly people on Big Alice are  all  loony tunes. I’m still wondering how they survived on a train that never moved until now?

I still post on tumblr, and the tumblr kids are all about "trigger warnings" anytime anything remotely traumatic gets posted. I suppose seeing someone slit their wrist could be triggering for someone who is contemplating suicide.

Did anyone else sense a little bit of attraction between Melanie and Layton after the climate meeting? I really hope the show doesn't go there, especially since Layton is in a love triangle now that Josie is alive. We don't need a love square(?)

Nope. No cars in her windshield. Just open landscape. Unless the windshield is a view screen and she was actually looking out the front of Snowpiercer through a camera hookup. There was definitely not a train in front of her. And where she was sitting could not be the part of Big Alice connected to Snow Piercer. We've seen where the two trains join up in the prisoner exchange.

According to wiki, Big Alice runs in reverse, meaning the engine car pushes the rest of the cars, whereas Snowpiercer pulls its cars. There was a scene where Alex was in Wilfred's quarters, which I'm assuming is also the engine car, and she goes over to the controls and looks out the window. She could see cars in front and below her, which I am assuming was the Big Alice cars they were pushing. I'm sorry I don't remember a scene where she looked out and didn't see anything.

And I thought his arms could actually move?  But maybe you're saying that his arms can't move at the same time as his legs? 😉

As far as I know, his arms can’t move mechanically like his face does. Here’s a photo of the metal rods they attach to his hands to make his arms move. I’m guessing it’s hard to move them at the same time they make him walk, so they just let his arms lay at his side. In a way, it just makes him cuter!

It also took 3 people to control it.  I forget exactly, but one person did the eyes and mouth, one person did the ears and head, and one person did the rest of the body - or something like that.  It really is a technological marvel.  What I never figured out is if the puppet could walk; we never see his feet.  I think all walking is CGI, but much of the rest isn't.

I think they showed the puppet walking a few times. I'm guessing they did it the same way they did the arm movements, which is they used wires or something, and then removed them with CGI. One of the easiest ways to tell it's the puppet is by looking at his arms. If they're barely moving, then it's probably the puppet.

Why did the "pig farmer" who is actually a P.I. lie about his profession?  Just because?  Are they encouraged to lie?

I was wondering that too. I wasn't even aware that the regular people were allowed to lie. Makes it a little bit harder, because if other people think you aren't being truthful, then they might think you are the hustler, which means the real hustler might want to keep you in the game to throw suspicion off themselves. And it makes it harder on the audience, because anyone could be lying about anything. Near the end, I thought it was Karen because of how well she was doing on the questions. I did know the last answer about the lie detector because Luke Evans played Prof. Marston in a movie not too long ago, but Karen's deduction was spot on. She definitely wasn't a confused blonde like she trying to portray. I hope she doesn't pull that act in real life. My mind changed when the hustler was trying to convince the other two he wasn't the hustler, because I didn't think he had a good defense, and I did remember that he seemed to let other people answer the questions first, and then was like, Yes, let's go with that!

  7. I laughed when almost everyone said they owned a gun and Craig said, Yep, we're definitely on an American show!

Kim totally gave herself away with the Eli question, but at least she was able to admit that her greed got the best of her. I didn't think it was her in the beginning because she seemed very open and talkative. I've only watched this episode and the last, so I need to catch up on the rest on OnDemand. I hadn't even heard of the show, but came across it last week. I'm really enjoying it, and I like that there aren't really long delays in the game play, like a lot of trivia shows. I also love the set!

As far as having a dog named Tiffany, it could have been a man's dog if that man had a wife or girlfriend who named it. But I definitely did think it belonged to a woman, and the last guy's reasoning that he's too big to drive a car made total sense.

I wonder why the hustler has to lie about their profession? It made sense this last time because of the clue about working in a prison, but I don't think last week's hustler had to lie. If people are going to start asking you questions about your job, you better pick a job that you know a lot about.

Last week's episode I picked the hustler in the very beginning just because of her body language and the way she was looking at people. But this last episode, it wasn't until the last clue that I was able figure it out. I hope the ratings for the show are good and it doesn't get canceled.

I totally agree! I liked what just those little moments told us about her as a character. There was so much kindness and gentleness in her interactions with Din and with Grogu. I knew nothing about Ahsoka and in very few scenes I came to like her quite a bit.

She's a "nice lady". 😊  I, too, loved the part when she smiled at Din saying "laser swords". My dad actually referred to a light saber as that recently, which I thought was pretty funny.

The nomination for Pedro is interesting to me considering that he’s evidently not in the armor much of the time and even when he is we can’t see what he’s doing facially. I think the body acting is really good but what’s him and what’s the stunt guys? If it’s for his voice acting, that’s cool, but I think that should be clearer because he’s not responsible for all of the acting for the character.

If you watch the behind the scenes of season 2 documentary, he's in the armor quite a bit. But a lot of times while watching the show, I can't tell if it's him or not in the armor, so for me it's the voice that really makes the character. Although it would be nice for there to be some kind of joint award, it just doesn't exist.

Also, I looked it up, and this a new awards show:

The Critics Choice Association (CCA) is pleased to announce the inaugural Critics Choice Super Awards, a special event honoring the most popular, fan-obsessed genres across both television and movies, including Superhero, Science Fiction/Fantasy, Horror, Action and Animation.  The awards presentation, which will be produced remotely following COVID safety protocols, will air as a television special on The CW Network on Sunday, January 10, 2021 (8:00-10:00pm ET).

It was never on the 2021 schedule.

Some people on reddit made it sound like there was a previous schedule created by Disney that had "season 3" in December, but the updated scheduled released yesterday didn't list it. Maybe I misunderstood.

I watched that whole GMA segment and I thought Favreau said that Mando 3 was in pre-production now and would start filming "pretty soon" after the Boba show finished filming.  I have kind of resigned myself to not expect Mando 3 before late in 2022, that way I will be pleasantly surprised if it is an earlier release date.

Jon kinda minced his words a few times in that interview, so a lot of people think he meant it will start filming after BoBF finishes filming, not after it premieres. If it's already been in pre-production for a while, waiting more than a year to start filming seems weird. But who knows. They have so many other shows planned, they can't work on them all at once. But Jon also said they were waiting for Pedro to finish filming his movie, and would start right after when he became available, so I don't think he would have said that, unless the plans changed drastically.

Sorry, I tried to bring some clarity to the release date  but I guess it's all up in the air still!

  12. I'm hearing that Season 3 has been removed from Disney's release schedule for 2021, so it looks like it'll be premiering in 2022. It's not really a surprise to me, since they haven't even started filming yet. The filming of Pedro's movie was delayed because of Covid, so Mando wasn't able to start filming in December like Jon originally said it would. On GMA, Jon said Season 3 will be released "soon" after The Book of Boba Fett, so hopefully that means early 2022.

I just watched a video about David E. Kelley's failed Wonder Woman tv show and didn't realize that Pedro was in the pilot.

That's how Pedro met Patty Jenkins, who cast him in Wonder Woman 1984! He spent a lot of his career working in TV, doing guest spots or working on failed TV pilots. I'm glad he's finally getting some good roles.

ETA: Sorry, I was totally wrong about this factoid! Patty directed Pedro in a different TV pilot that never got picked up, and that's how they met. She did not direct the Wonder Woman TV show.

At what point does she get into slander territory?

I'm thinking maybe that's why she deleted the tweet. Making broad accusations about someone, especially during this time, can be super detrimental, even if they're baseless. She's blocked pretty much every Pedro fan I've seen. If you won't drink her kool-aid, she doesn't want to hear from you.

Getting back to the show, Cara said the New Republic will pay twice as much for Gideon if they bring him in alive. Dr. Pershing was also wanted. Hopefully the reward money is enough for Din to buy a new ship! And hopefully it has better sleeping quarters than The Razorcrest did.

  15. Grace deleted the tweet with the new rumor, but unfortunately it lives on, in posts like this. 😔  She was so positive about the helmet rumors, but now she's saying it's not true, the set issues were about something else. Just proves that she's full of crap and can't be trusted.

It didn't bother me that Jon didn't mention Pedro by name, and instead just referred to Mando. Mando is more than just Pedro. Pretty much everyone knows there are at least 4 guys in the costume at different times.

I wonder if Gideon sent Grogu's blood, or the data, somewhere else, or if it's still on the ship? If he didn't send it off, I suppose the Empire could still be looking for him. But he should be safe with Luke, at least for the time being...

  16. If they only have one Volume to film on, it makes sense that they would have to wait until Boba Fett is done filming before they start Mando Season 3. Yes, they could film at the same time, but that would probably be pretty messy and complicated. I'm just glad it was confirmed that it was two separate shows!

In Episode 4, we learn that "The Way" allows Mandalorians to remove their helmets when with their nuclear family.

Sorry, but I don't remember learning that in the show at all. I've watched episode 4 many times, and all Mando says is that he hasn't shown his face to anyone since he was a child, and if he removes his helmet, he can never put it on again. I really don't think Mando cares that much anymore about what the armorer would think. Most of his tribe is dead, and he seems to have altered his beliefs.

I rewatched this episode again tonight, and when Mando and Boba Fett walk into the bar in the beginning, there is double the jingly spur noise. I thought that was pretty cool. 😆

  18. I also think the guild is still around, but that doesn’t mean that Din is going to want to continue being a bounty hunter. Perhaps he’s lost the taste for it, and I think he’ll have bigger things to deal with in season 3. The last bounty we saw him pick up was the child, and yet he still managed to have plenty of side missions after that; helping his friends, as well as strangers. Essentially being the friendly neighborhood Mando. 😆 I think season 3 will be mostly about Mandalore and the Empire, but there will probably still be some fun side missions. I think they’d be a lot more fun with the child.

One hour of Picard trapped in a turbolift shaft with a bunch of kids was enough during 7 seasons of TNG. Favreau & Filoni know that all younglings all the time runs out of steam quickly.

Sorry I don't see the comparison. I'm just saying I'd like to continue watchng what we have been watching these past two seasons. Din doing side missions while the child tags along.

There was certainly some chemistry going on between Mando and Ahsoka.  When she leaned in and said "Groku"  it was almost intimate.  The kid, the armor and the swagger.  Mando's got it going on.

I love watching Mando's body language during these scenes. He did this thing with his hand, and then turned his head to look at her. Like he was a little uncomfortable, but turned on, and was trying to keep cool. I actually think he did a similar thing with his hand in a scene from season 1 when he was talking to Omera. I really don't think he has much experience with "nice" ladies, so he's still a bit uncomfortable around them.

Also, we know it was Brendan in the suit for the Omera scene, so if it was Pedro in the Ahsoka scene, then he did a great job of studying Mando's movements from season 1.

  21. I've seen so many comments about how bad the CGI was on Luke, but I thought they did a great job. I also read that it looks better on a nicer tv, or one with a lot of brightness, which mine has, so maybe that's why. I thought the CGI was much better than what was used in some of the recent Star Wars movies. My only complaint is that his face seemed a bit stiff. But because of how difficult, and probably costly it is to do, I can't really see a lot of future scenes with Luke training Grogu.

Sorry to post again but I just saw this Insta post by Pedro’s stunt double addressing the stupid rumors.

I posted Brendan's IG post earlier in this thread. To be fair, saying Pedro will be back doesn't really clear up the rumors. Just because he's coming back, doesn't mean that Season 3 will be all about Mando. But it does mean that Mando's story isn't over, so yay!

I don't really want to see an older Grogu. I think once he learns to master the force, he won't need to be protected as much. But he could learn to master it and still be a child. I also kind of wish he didn't have to use the force and could just be a regular child. Thinking back to season 1 and Omera saying "He could be a child for once. Wouldn't that be nice?". I wouldn't mind just seeing him go on space adventures with his dad. 😊
