Surprised, but glad to see ya on, Rach! Some fun zingers tonite. “Quick, Cory, bite off a finger & write this down in blood!” Uh, I could so see the wormy creep doing that. “What a campaign slogan — vote for me so I can avoid indictments. Eh, they can make it rhyme & fit it on a hat.” Thanks for the chuckles, Rach! Warren? Sorry, Rach, you may not agree, but I think she was trying to make headlines. Meh. She ended with my fav Joyce (that is, when Barb isn’t around) with some interesting stuff on Dan Coates that I’ve heard nowhere else. Hey, is Chuck on MSNBC so much during the day, he’s too pooped to go on with Rachel? Aw . . .

Uh, Rachel signed off with see-ya-soon. So we know what that means. It’s OK by me for Rachel to take Friday off. She said she’ll be reading it for the next year. Whatever on that, Rach. She should digest it more over the weekend & come up with some more interesting conclusions. Meanwhile, I need a break from it for a bit. CNN & MSNBC are just going nuts with it. And they are absolutely driving the narrative that Fox News & ALL Republicans want to push hard — that we’re all sick of it & to just not talk about it anymore. Uh, no freakin’ way. Rachel has the right idea to take a break, look at it more closely to draw more conclusions, but don’t get obsessed with it. Well, I’m not quite sure Rachel isn’t obsessed with it too, since she said she’s imagining the miniseries of it — just hope she calms down about it too.
  3. Not a Carole fan, but I don't believe that she didn't vote.

And Rachel spotlighted his past behavior as Bush AG, before the confirmation. The rest of media? Not so much. Still, they harped on him being a professional & even some Dems voted for him. Ugh. Could anyone in the Senate not have known Barr’s past experience & that it was such a perfect fit to hide what’s in the Mueller report? Hard to believe. But his past experience didn’t come up in the confirmation hearing. Dems just repeatedly mentioned his memo (uh, job application) to Trump. Those Dem Senators should be required to watch Rach nightly!

As Rachel pointed out about Mayor Pete's website (and also in his previous interviews), he has been light on his policy beliefs. He said that throwing out detailed policies this early was not as helpful as getting his "values" out. Was this a bluff for not having his policy beliefs together? I didn't get that impression. Was it a bit of a poke at policy-heavy Warren? Maybe. But don't a lot of the candidates seem to have similar (if not the same) policy ideas? So how do we differentiate between them? Maybe Mayor Pete is on the right track to focus more generally on "values" at this point, rather than overly detailed policies? I liked that he emphasized focusing on tech advertising in the campaign -- in addition to television advertising. Strategic tech campaign advertising is absolutely essential now. Mayor Pete correctly stated how TV advertising is easier to build because it's a traditional track that's already well known. Tech advertising is more difficult because there are so many paths to follow -- but it's more important than ever to pursue because of its influence. I haven't heard this from any other candidate so far. Ugh, a half-hour history lesson from Rachel tonite! I might be alone here, but I was squirming to tune out. I'm not thrilled with being force-fed, watching awful stuff from 30 years ago. But I made myself watch & figured Rachel was doing this for a reason. Glad I stuck with it. Rachel was soooo right to show this stuff. Look, we have no idea what's gonna come out on Thursday. And if history does repeat itself with Barr's past shady/shifty behavior, Rachel is merely preparing for what could likely be 399 and 3/4 pages of colorfully blocked-out useless garbage. While everyone else on cable news is screeching about Trump's peeps being scared shitless of being mentioned in the Mueller report, I suspect they're all wrong, and Rachel has got it absolutely dead-on right. OK Rach, you had Mayor Pete on, so what about Beto & Bernie?

You know, I was as impressed by Rachel as I was by Mayor Pete in this interview. I thought maybe she was being slightly judgy, with her question on Mayor Pete's timing of when he came out -- and how she could never have waited to come out the way he did. We can thank LOD for helping her clear that up, To LOD, she emphasized her experience was clearly different & stressed that she knew every gay person's experience in coming out is different. So thanks to LOD for helping Rach. But thanks to Rachel for giving Mayor Pete the opportunity to so casually & easily say that he needed to accept his sexuality himself before he could come out. He said something similar in an interview with Anderson Cooper, but this really stood out -- in such an honest & heartfelt way. And when have we heard that description of a "politician" in the last 2 years? Again, LOD's questioning of Rachel helped her help Mayor Pete. To LOD, she clarified her reasoning behind asking him the coming out question. His delay of coming out could imply dishonesty & Rachel knowingly said, as a candidate he'll be completely picked over, so it's better to get any possible baggage out now. And Rachel also did him a big favor by asking him about foreign policy & in particular, troublesome foreign leaders such as Putin & Kim & how he'd deal with them. Given his "limited" experience as local Midwest mayor, I was wondering about this. So how did this interview compare with Rachel's other candidate interviews? Uh, well, I didn't know Rachel was the first openly gay Rhodes Scholar. That was interesting. Did I learn anything new that I haven't seen in other interviews he's done? Not really. I will say he's consistent in interviews -- and this one was no different. He's relaxed, yet focused; whip-smart, but not arrogant. He just seems like a decent, sincere guy. I think what impresses me most about Mayor Pete is he's such a clear & effective & compelling speaker. Compare him to Cory Booker, who can speak for 2 minutes or 20 & I either shut down out of boredom, or wonder WTH he just said. Mayor Pete is the exact opposite. Eh, who knows if he can pull off getting the nom, but he sure has a bright future ahead of him.

Don’t count on Rachel getting in too deep with Mayor Pete — at least not yet. You know, EVERY one of the candidates she’s interviewed has some negative baggage. Uh, has Rachel ever brought up their baggage — in these mostly puff & forgettable interviews? She asked Klobuchar briefly about hers, but quickly let it go. Nah, Rachel is ALL about history & noting historical moments. And you can be sure she’ll highlight how this is a historical moment — that Mayor Pete is the first openly gay candidate to run in a primary for President.

I was kinda puzzled why Rachel had Swalwell on. Was it cuz he represents her parents’ district, as she implied? Er, not buyin’ that. I suspect there’s more going on. Swalwell is clearly very ambitious. I bet he’s using this candidacy for even more attention than he gets from his numerous television appearances. Why? I bet he has his eye on Feinstein’s Senate seat. Don’t forget she’s 85 & might decide to retire after Trump is out, if he loses. Rachel clearly likes Swalwell (as I do too) & she was probably OK with promoting him, in spite of being an extreme long shot. Didn’t she pretty much say that? Gosh, I completely forgot about Rachel’s interview with Klobuchar, who I do like, but is yet another who seems to be getting lost in the crowd of candidates. As Rachel briefly discussed the awfulness of renewed efforts of the military trans ban, I wondered what Mayor Pete would say on it. Now, surely all the others Rachel has interviewed would have a predictably sympathetic line. Will Mayor Pete’s be any more probing & enlightening? I’d like to see. I wish Rachel will push Mayor Pete on how being gay could impact his candidacy. I have not seen this discussed seriously anywhere else. Maybe Rachel, being gay herself, should be the first one to bring it up & push on it. If he becomes a more viable candidate, could hate arise & be thrown at him? Could get very ugly. Do him a big favor, Rach, and bring that up now. Another forgettable puff interview would be useless.

I’m trying to figure out Rachel’s strategy with these candidate interviews. Is she trying to draw out every stance they have on every issue out there — or shoot the breeze with them & give us a taste of their personalities? Or both? Has she accomplished much with these interviews? Uh, no, not so far. Harris & Warren were OK, but unmemorable — and they both fared better in CNN town halls. Booker was a bore & Gillibrand sounded like a lightweight. Castro is a nice guy, but I lost interest quick. I’ve forgotten any other candidate interviews. As Mayor Pete rises, a good interview with Rachel could help him a bit, but it’s just one interview. The ones who really could use a Rachel interview right now are Beto & Bernie. Beto is looking like a shallow, breathless, arm-waving empty shell. And Bernie needs to distract from being another old rich guy & sell his healthcare plan that’ll likely never happen in a zillion years. Those 2 desperately need Rachel. Maybe that’s why she hasn’t had either of ‘em on?

Well, what I just realized is Mayor Pete hasn't formally announced he's running for President. That could be the reason she hasn't interviewed him. But that's supposed to happen on Sunday. So Rachel is acting pretty darn quick by interviewing him the next day. I hope Rachel brings up a lot of issues with him. I've seen a number of interviews with him & he's consistently been extremely impressive. He casually & unconsciously presents himself as a total opposite to Trump. Let's see how he is with Rachel. The Eric Swalwell interview was a waste of time. Look, he's smart, attractive & a nice guy, but he's on TV too much -- and my cat has a better chance of winning than he does. So far EVERY one of Rachel's interviews with candidates have been unmemorable. Sure, Rachel has been easier on some than others, but if these interviews have been unmemorable, it's not Rachel's fault. It's the candidates . . .

Oh Rach, ya made me chuckle every time ya said “massage parlor lady” — hee! Were you really a lifeguard, Rach? Anyhoo, thanks for the tip about not swimming with a thumb drive. The Mar-a-lago Chinese spy lady should listen to Rach. So Rachel is finally having Mayor Pete on Monday. She seemed reluctant about him. She pretty much said she thinks polling now is useless, so it’s not that he’s polling surprisingly well. So then why? I suspect it’s his battle with Pence. He’s making an utter fool outta Pence & I bet Rach luvs it. Me too, Rach. Whatever the reason, glad she’s having him on.

    Small Talk: This Just In

Well, the structure that was built, and apparently abandoned, was clearly not the intended finished project. What was left standing, Rachel has referred to as looking like a sail. Wonder if this means Trump intends to build other possible vagina buildings. I’m sure Rach will be following (uncomfortably), if it involves the same kinda shady/sinister characters.
  14. ScoobieDoobs

All Episodes Talk: TRMS 2019 Season

OK, so Rachel has discussed the Trump Azerbaijan project before. I remember she talked about Ivanka shlepping there many times to promote it & there were tons of shifty/shady characters involved (of various nationalities, Russians, among others) & it never got finished. But what I DO NOT remember is that the proposed finished building would look like a huge gigantic VAGINA! Uh, what the what? Did Rach ever show that before? Sheesh, I get her moment of prudishness. That was a hide-the-kiddies moment.
  15. ScoobieDoobs

    Small Talk: This Just In

I'm confused if it was ever fully built. Rach showed sketches of it -- maybe the proposed finished project? Then she showed what looked like one building (which she said caught fire) -- but it didn't look like the sketch. The sketch of the total project looked like a vagina -- no mistaking that. It looked pornographic, so I kinda get Rach's prudish instincts coming out when showing it. At least Rach kept it classy. If it were Bill Maher showing that sketch, he woulda had a big orange Trump hand grabbing at it.

    S11.E05: Shark Bait

Oh Lord help us, another fake/phony-baloney Bethenny therapy session, with some quack who is willing to conduct a "therapy session" on TV. Blech. So are we gonna meet Bethenny's latest victim? Uh, I mean her new bf. Poor dude. Guess the clock is ticking till that relationship blows up. Uh, if we didn't see that Scott exists, I'd think Tinz is having a relationship with George Glass. I still think she's dreaming this relationship in her head. Wait, did I hear Tinz right? OK, so she's having jaw probs & needs botox because of her PB arrest mugshot pic? Mmmmm, alrighty then, Tinz. OK, I have to say I was really puzzled when Sonja said she moved to Columbus Circle. Er, cuz it's like saying you're moving to Times Square. Seriously, what the fuckety fuck? It's like moving into 24/7 chaos. Who the fuck would wanna do that? And we kinda got a bit of a taste of how shitty it looks to live around there -- in the scene with Sonja & Moaner. I mean, Jeez, it's OK to walk thru that area on a nice day -- on the maybe 6 or 7 days out of the year it's actually nice weather in NYC (slight exaggeration, but not by much). Eh, Sonja is really a nutbag to move there. Wow, Dorinda is grating as hell. Tinz is seeming loonier than ever, but I liked her promoting the animal shelter. That was nice & her doggie is so cute!

Hey Rach, uh, you plugged Pete's appearance on LOD, but why didn't you have him on your show? And as much as I can't with Beto & the arm-waving, why haven't ya had him on either, Rach? Well, I honestly don't give a shit about Beto, but you really should have Pete on, Rach. The hand-offs to LOD have been discussed before, but was tonite's a bit weird? Rach looked like she had enough & wanted to go home & was trying hard to cue LOD to leave her alone so she could get off cam. Seemed odd to me.
  19. Could this guy have led Jillzy to that “fabulous circle of friends”? Doubt it. Her Lawnguyland beginning was worlds away from the Manhattan snoots Jillzy so prizes to hang with now.
  20. My guess would be a big fat NO. Bobby is how she got to have her “fabulous circle of friends”. She clearly didn’t wanna stay on Lawnguyland, married to this schlub.
  21. He has the same nose as Jillzy. Did she marry her brother? And Ally looks like neither. Er huh? Is it just me -- or did Jillzy look way more attractive with the bangs she had when the show started? Man, that seems like a billion years ago.
  22. Something strange here. DM refers to the will & it apparently states the trust in Lee's name will go to her daughter ONLY. It makes me wonder if there were some strict guidelines connected to this trust. Lee did not live an extravagant life in older age, despite being healthy & active until fairly recently. Or maybe it's possible Lee changed her ways from being a ridiculous spender to being frugal. It's possible. I have no idea if Carole expected any dough from Lee. Just saying that if she were my daughter-in-law, I think I'd make some arrangements to give her some amount. I mean, shit, 50 mil is a fucking lot of money. Does the daughter need all that dough? And keep in mind the situation with Carole & her son. Carole helped him enormously when he was dying & his death has clearly affected the rest of her life tremendously. In addition, she seemed to be very respectful & kind to Lee. When I first mentioned this, it was just to take an unkind jab at Carole. I regret that. No, Lee didn't "owe" Carole a thing. But for someone who experienced such pain in helping her son, I think it was unkind, even cold & thoughtless, to not mention her at all in her will.
  23. Using Bobby's death as an excuse to get her mug back on TV is just so gross -- and yet it's just so Jillzy, ain't it? I bet Bobby wouldn't care at all cuz he was so nuts about her. But I think it's lowball & gross. Is the older man in the pic above Ally's dad? Ally looks cute. What do ya bet Jillzy is giving poor Ally shit that it ain't her getting married?

Actually, Rachel first referred to Barr's letter/memo as the "Barr report". Schiff referred to it as the summary/non-summary. Rach doesn't call it the Barr report anymore, but pointed out how he's now put out 2 more odd follow-up "letters" that supposedly "explain" the first. It's weird as fuck. Rach doesn't have to comment on it with any snark. She can just say the facts. This suspicious & cagey & weird-as-fuck behavior from Barr pretty much speaks for itself. As Rach says -- look at what they do, not what they say . . .

So Rachel remarked kinda dramatically & sympathetically to Schiff, before she started the interview, that he had a tough week. Schiff sorta shrugged & gave a nonchalant, just-another-day look. This is actually a great response to all the dumb-ass shit he's been getting this week -- particularly that ridiculous "demand" for his resignation from the Repub fools in the Congressional Committee he is Chairman of. Glad Rach had him on tonite. It was a great follow-up to his awesome speech yesterday. Rachel did devote pretty much all of Friday’s show to Mueller report coverage, didn’t she? Not complaining — just observing. There was a bit of Maria Butina news on Friday that she didn’t even get to. A bit surprised by that. I thought Friday’s show was great cuz Rach hit on such good points on why, what Barr has done so far with the Mueller report, is so random & cagey. And as Hannity & Laura Ingraham (who oddly showed Rach in a tin hat) & even lunkhead Andrew Sullivan, among many others on the Right, ramp up efforts this week to throw shit at Rachel, it confirms to me that Rach is totally right to question what Barr is doing with the Mueller report. Like I said before — just keep doin’ what you’re doin’, Rach, & ignore the assholes throwing shit at ya. They’re obviously scared Rachel is getting closer to the truth.
