I don't think their being black has much to do with it.  It's more the untouchable, ride-or-die pact they have that needs to be broken up.  Never admit you have an untouchable agreement with anyone.

Yeah, but the optics don't look good. OTOH, this could be an opportunity for them to ally with Janelle and Kays... uh, never mind.

Exemplified when Enzo imperiously announced in the DR that he wouldn't "allow" Christmas to nominate him.

This season will only get interesting when everyone else is gone and the alliance starts to eat itself.

I really hope that people play the game based on what's best for them, not what the optics are. But, based on the comment about not thinking Christmas would "be so bold" as to nominate them both, I think Bayleigh was counting on the optics deterrent.

  2. I took the show off of season record after Hannah's last episode. Although there were certainly times she seemed over it, I think a lot of that was Sandy. The one who was all in her business, unless Hannah needed help from her captain, and then it was "work it out yourself." For me, this was Hannah's show. I have no desire to tune in to see the AMAZING CAPTAIN SANDY show.

Main thing I got out of the article is that they do psychiatric reviews as part of casting.

They make it sound like they're finding nuggets panning for gold among hundreds of hours of footage.  They would never admit that they manipulate situations or simply change what happens simply by being observers, all around.

Because what kind of people are they casting?  They could cast the most photogenic people (they made a point about how attractive yacht industry people are) but if they're low-key or very introverted, they won't have too much footage to use.

So they make sure they're casting at least a couple of BSC people.

Well it's not LivePD, but it looks like CourtCam survived the Live purge. A&E is advertising new episodes starting in a few weeks now. I wonder when they filmed Dan's voice overs for it.

I'm still missing the main show. Crave On Demand here in Canada has eps of LivePD and LivePD Rewind available so I've had them on for a bit at least. I suspect that will only be for a few more months at best.

You're lucky, Comcast On Demand in the US got rid of them.

  5. On these shows, I can usually enjoy someone who's a jerk because of the anticipation of the inevitable takedown of said jerk. Lara, however, is such a POS that the fun of the coming retribution isn't worth having to stomach watching her. She just really pisses me off.

Sandy is annoying as hell,  she is creating issues where none existed.  Hannah was immediatly jealous and competitive with the 2nd stew,  wasn't a surprise at all when they butted heads.

Hannah isn't even trying at this point,  just going thru the drama motions for Bravo.  Don't know if I can even hate watch this show anymore.

I didn't read it as Hannah being jealous, I thought it was just her reacting to the attitude she was being given. Lara came across as an arrogant ass who clearly doesn't think she should have to take direction from Hannah. I would bet, though, that Lara will claim it's jealousy.

  7. The exaggerated glottal stop, for lack of a better term, is so grating. If your chosen profession is in front of the camera, especially if the show you're doing commentary for necessitates frequent use of the words titan and mountain, lose the affectation. Please.

Re: Her first hot topic. She went on about Iggy Azaleas boyfriend getting caught in his Lamborghini late at night in Georgia. He was caught with drugs and guns. First Wendy said he was cute. I disagree, but looks are subjective. Then she told of how Iggy bailed him out, but the friend riding with him is still in jail. Wendy said he should “sing like a canary”. Then she turned to Norman, who said he wouldn’t tattle. W then reminded him it could be a 20 year jail sentence. To which Norman was like “oh well”. So...Wendy is a rat. You can never trust a rat, but many of us here have caught her in many lies. Hmm...and we wonder why she doesn’t have friends.
The very first thing she addressed was the food she was eating. She stated that she knows many of us viewers don’t like it. She basically told us then if we don’t like to see her eat, hers isn’t the show for us. Gee Wendy. You can’t take away my favorite hate watch show. What a train wreck.

Sorry my post was backwards. I think my mind might be getting soggy from this quarantine and having to entertain myself so much.

She also said he was an idiot for letting the police search his vehicle. Evidently, according to the Rap School of Law, the police can't search your vehicle without a warrant. The guy had bags of weed, pills and firearms in the car. Weed stinks to high heaven and she said pills were visible on the floorboard. It's called probable cause Wendy, try not to get your legal advice from a JZ song.

  9. So, in Kyle's mind, everything would be perfect if Amanda would just quit her job so she can devote all of her time to the company? If the business was owned by both of them, I could see where it would be a fair ask, but I haven't heard anything to make me think that's the case. Also, having one steady income is probably a good idea, at least while waiting for the product to take off. Other than that, it sounds like a great idea to basically put him in complete control of her life.

  10. Does Amanda have any ownership interest in Loverboy? I've just seen him listed as founder and her as creative & branding. If they don't both have ownership, snarts is right, he needs to hire a creative director and not expect Amanda to do work for him in addition to her regular job.

  11. I think Kyle and Amanda's main problem is his drinking, not whatever petty garbage he was complaining about. If he doesn't stop (cutting down doesn't appear to be an option for him), I don't think they will make it. Maybe even then they won't be compatible, but I don't think they have a chance if he doesn't stop.

It does bug me when people expect some overt grandiose behavior from service staff. Being in the service industry shouldn't equate to being a dancing monkey. I get that there should be a warmth to the interactions but at the same time I really wish people would stop requiring particular body language or that a person exude a certain level of positive energy.

First of all, everyone has a different idea of what's enough, what's too much, etc. etc. so I think it's just fair all around to accept when a person is doing their duties and performing their tasks. As long as it's not some openly hostile interaction I don't think find it necessary to nit pick a persons face, demeanor or energy. Granted I don't like feeling like I'm aggravating you but at the same time I'm also a grown up and shouldn't look for someone to ease my discomfort.  I should be able to tell myself, it's all good, the person is here to do a job so I'm not gonna waste time wondering if I'm bugging them cause at the end of the day Imma ask for what I need and the understanding is the staff is there to accommodate those requests. Why the hell do we play mind games with ourselves and then make it mandatory for service personal to display exaggerated behaviors in order to ease the mind fucks we create in our own minds.

All I require is that you are gracious and polite and non combative or rude. I don't need exaggerated reassurances of your mood cause at the end of the day do we really care about their mood? No we don't cause to be perfectly honest, their at work and there is an understanding of what's going on so all this fakery is unnecessary. Let's be honest, we all know that work is work and people aren't serving you because they are just such swell people who sing with the animals and just can't wait to bestow sunshine upon your day so when guests want a service person to go about their service in this manner I just roll my eyes.

Exactly. As long as she's not channeling Mrs. Danvers, it's all good.

I liked him a lot at first.  I think he's gotten a little too big for his breeches.  The "fame" 😏 has gone to his head, and now he thinks he's one of the guys.  I am sure he's thinking to himself, "Now I'M the number 1 guy!"

I think that with any group of tight knit friends, when any one of them gets involved in a serious relationship, they hope that their SO will fit in well with everyone. I think this happened here, so he actually is one of the guys.

No one said she deserves "abuse" but she does deserve to be called out for being the bitch she is and put in her place.   While she may out rank other crew members, she is not "superior" to them or to anyone else.

What or where is her place, and how does one put her there?

Tuesday ..  Did Wendy forget to get dressed this morning?  She was wearing her pink nite gown with her sneakers.
Why is Suzanne always sucking on mints or candy whenever she answers a question?  This is a t.v. show.  Have some restraint till the show is over.  Everything about this show is weird, or I’m just crabby this morn.

I think that since she has to yell a lot to pump the audience up, gum and/or hard candies are helpful.

  16. I really wish this whole "optics" thing would die a quick death. As in "Well, yes that was the best move for their game, but the optics..." What are people supposed to do? Make a move that is not as good for their game so it looks better? Makes no sense to me, and it's a shame that it's a thing.

  17. It's a minor thing, but Jeff does it every season. At the start of the second immunity challenge of the season, he says "Once again, immunity is back up for grabs." On the 2nd challenge it's either once again up for grabs or back up for grabs, but it's not once again back up for grabs until the third challenge. Right?

I have to disagree.  The editors had to really reach for examples of Sandy praising the interior crew.  Of the four clips they showed, two were not compliments per se - one clip showed Aesha asking if they could do white glove service, with Sandy replying: sure; and one was Sandy hugging Aesha as she said goodbye and telling her it was great working with her. Those are examples of praise?  The other examples were: 1) looking at a tablescape and saying “great;” and 2) at a tip meeting saying “interior - amazing.”  I mean, really?  Big whoop.  IMO, that clip package proved Aesha’s point, not Sandy’s point that Aesha is a “forgetter” (Sandy’s word).

Plus, those compliments were in private, while the disparaging comments were in front of everyone. It must be humiliating to be dressed down in front of other department heads and staff and your own staff as well. It's something that shouldn't be done and just one example of why Sandy is such a horrible manager.

Are you new to the WW show? No disrespect intended but Wendy NEVER gets the facts straight. Hell, she can't even pronounce simple common names. And must always have Norman correcting her on everything.

And this egotistical biatch thinks she's got it goin' on. She's cool, hipped and hopped and hangin' with the top dogs of celebs. I say she's seriously mentally ill.

Not new, I do know Wendy's talent for getting things wrong. When it's getting names wrong, The Jerry Show not being picked up, etc., no big, but other people from the show should make sure that inflammatory things like this (the Felicity Huffman sentencing I posted about above) aren't passed on as fact when they're definitely not.
