That seems a little harsh on 2 fronts. 1: He pays child support even though it was a one night stand and legally he probably doesn't have to. That is honorable. 2: He loves Natalie and it is clear as day. James is a realist here. He KNOWS he cannot go as far as Natalie may be able to go. She has played better than him at comps and he admitted this to her. I completely understand why he is doing this, Just MY Opinion.

A really honorable man wouldn't be involved in a one-night stand, and if for some reason, he decided he wasn't THAT honorable, he would use some type of protection.

But a truly HONORABLE man would pay the child support necessary to raise someone he conceived.

If/when it comes down to three bros and Nicole what does she expect to happen!?! So yeah good idea to get out the two women and guy that would vote for/with you instead and give your self a prayer to win. She doesn't seem to know that right now the light at the end of the tunnel is a train.

Oh, sure.  Nicole could absolutely count on Michelle (who hates her), Natalie (who dislikes her) and do-nothing James to vote FOR her to make it to the end.  Would Vic and Paul vote her out given the chance.  I bet they would, but I don't see that there will be any altruism on the part of the other showmance and their sidekick either.  That's also a three against two situation.  With the guys, she has worst case scenario of two versus two.

I can't stand Nicole and Corey, but they've put themselves in a good position by forming a final four agreement with Natalie and James and also Vic and Paul. They also broke up James, Nat, Paul, and Vic by getting Nat to go after Paul and Vic during her co-HOH. So no matter how things go next week, they should be OK...which annoys the heck out of me.

James and Nat...there are no words, they're just so dumb. When Nicole didn't backdoor Vic that should have been a huge flashing sign, but I think they still don't get it.

    This.

  3. Brady's obsession is puzzling.  I know that at first he thought it might bring him a promotion, but really, at what cost?  Now he's being reprimanded and dismissed by the FBI, and yet he continues on the job.  Unless Brady solves the case, and it doesn't involve any of the Hawthorne family, his marriage will probably be over.  At the very least, I doubt he'll be invited to Sunday dinner.

Besides, I don't like the character and I think his acting method leaves a bit to be desired.

  4. I really would love for Wed at 8 to be divided between Survivor and TAR.  Give Survivor fall and spring and TAR gets winter and summer.  It would make Wed my favorite night of the week all year.

Big Brother can always be scheduled for another night.  Wed & Thu are too close anyway.  Make it Sun, Tue and Thu.

Nicole has to have a degree - she's a nurse.

Nicole said the other night that she went for a 2-year nursing course.  If she went to a community college, it might qualify as an AA, but if she went to just a nurses' training school, it's state certification here.   Depends on your state laws.  Bridgette does have a degree because she attended college and nursing school.

Somehow, both Zakiyah and Da'Vonne terrified Corey and even though Paul couldn't keep his hands off Zakiyah, all he really wanted to do was punch her. But, the obvious behind such statements and sentiments will always be dismissed, so whatever.

Kendall, I haven't seen one thing about this so I really don't want to comment.  From the updates included, it only says Nicole was scared of Z the first day (doesn't mention Corey's feelings or Da'Vonne).  I think I know what you're suggesting, but I'm not the sharpest pencil in the box so..........  If Nicole was scared of Z, perhaps it was because Z came in with an attitude or perhaps she looked so hot that Nicole was worried about the comparison.  I'm neither a Nicole nor a Corey fan, so I'm not defending them, other than to say I'd rather be sure what she means before I condemn her.  I don't think Nicole and Locasta (sp?) had any problems last year.

Perhaps you can point me to Corey's remarks so I can better respond.

Two bachelor's degrees, or two majors? I thought I heard majors.

You probably are right.  It was way too late for me to be still up and around, and it really did register in my head as two degrees.  Majors does, however, make more sense.

Well, I'm 58 so when I suggested older players I should have been clearer. I was talking about people in their 40s and 50s not children in their late 20s.

Possession of degrees is no big deal. I have several of my own. Book smarts is not what I'm talking about.

I wasn't suggesting anything about the age of the house residents, although I do think it was better when we had at least some older folks.  I was merely commenting on the fact that you previously mentioned how young Natalie was, and now again, that had she been more mature she would have handled the nickname better.  I was simply pointing out that ALL of them are very young, and perhaps if they were ALL more mature, there never would have been a need to handle the situation in the first place.

I think (my humble opinion) this is where players with a little more maturity and life experience (i.e. us older folks) would enhance the game. An older, more secure woman would have blown up that fake tits bullshit. I would have turned it into a slightly self deprecating joke and probably would start calling myself Fake Tits. If they figure out that it doesn't bother you they'll stop doing it. Of course, I had 5 older brothers, so I did have to learn to roll with it.

I'd love to see a season with more maturity.

Except for James, Natalie is the oldest person in the house at this moment.

Bridgette, Josea & Zakiyah are all younger than she is as well, and Bronte and Paulie are the same age as she.  This is a very young crowd.

Besides, Natalie is the best educated person in the house.  She told James, I think Mon night out by the hot tub, that she has two bachelor degrees.  There are some, like Nicole, who have no degrees at all.

While she (and I) find FT offensive, we're talking a bunch of kids here.....at least from where I sit.

Agree, Agatha Christie always showed us the murderer. One of her most notorious mysteries, the one that really kicked off her career, was narrated by the murderer. You can't get the killer much more up front than that.  Her mysteries played tricky but they were fair tricks. In the end her mysteries were as tightly plotted as Ellery Queen or S.S. Van Dine. She passed Ronald Knox's rules for mysteries.

But I suspect Raymond Chandler's murderers were more or less pulled from his nether parts. This is curious since he devised his own set of rules for mysteries, and blasted Christie for one for not following them.

But then, one of Chandler's criticisms was that Christie is boring. Unfortunately for every would be critic, boringness is not a property of any literary or dramatic work. They may be vague, diffuse, unresolved, slow paced, padded, confusing...but boredom is the emotional state all these (or any combination thereof,) may evoke in the reader or viewers. I have yet to finish reading a Chandler and can't remember much from a Chandler movie adaptation, but I've usually found Christie exciting enough. It's the thrill of the hunt, because you have a chance to beat the detective to the prey.

Agree with your whole post, but the bolded explains why I never liked Mary Higgins Clark books.

  10. How old would Sophie have been 14 years ago?  Would Mama Hawthorne have offed Daddy Hawthorne to protect Sophie?  Would she even have killed him to protect Jack?

This is my problem with anyone outside the immediate family.  Who or what could possibly frighten Madeline enough for her to murder Mitch.........and why the heck does Garrett accept his mother's act with just a sigh.

I hate returning players this late in the game. Da'Vonne was one of my favorites, but she's missed too many evictions. Z is useless, and if she comes back it won't change that she was useless before she left and then spent a couple of evictions safe in the Jury House. Paulie is the worst. And Victor will have been evicted twice. All the players played their best hand and they got got.

I know it's part of the Big Brother game, so all's fair with Returning Players. But I don't like it with any reality show (except Kristin Kish! But even Top Chef has a different dynamic with Judges and teams and such).

ETA: It doesn't help this season feels like it's been taking forever. Now we have to go backwards. Again.

Agreed, returning players sucks.....not just with Big Brother, but with any reality show.  Once you are offed, eliminated or whatever, it should be over for you.  Why can't these shows just figure out their schedule and get enough people to accomplish that.  Now that would be Unexpected.

Yes.  Paulie flirted with the women as part of his strategy, too.  As a flirt it is pretty silly to be outraged by another flirt.  Who held the gun to her head and made her climb into the bed frame?  Had Paulie said nothing to her, Z would still be upset, so her outrage for Z's sake is not credible.

'Sexual harassment' goes on the list of overly and misused words along with bully, sexist and many others.

But was Paulie even involved with Z at that time?  I thought that happened during the time when no one was sure whether it was Z or Tiff he was interested in.

But Paulie was with Z when Nat decided to show him her boob wrinkles or whatever the hell they were.  And when he said he didn't quite see, she had no trouble lifting her shirt again.  I don't understand how someone asking for a kiss makes one more "uncomfortable" while showing off your mammary glands is okay.

I actually think that Paulie walking back in will help Natalie out. Corey/Nicole will surely tell him that Natalie saved them, and he'll at least put aside his feelings for her to keep her safe for one week if he gets into power. He could have been down a number if it wasn't for Natalie. Plus, she comes with James, who Paulie likes a lot. So it's sad that as a Natalie fan, I might be rooting for Paulie over Victor. Objectively, Natalie needs Paulie to walk back through those doors more than Victor. Subjectively, fuck Paulie. Bring back Bridgette or Da'Vonne.

Also, I HATE that Nicole has this smirk on her face right now. I just want to smack it off of her face because she hasn't been on the block yet and it's final seven. And now that she's going on the block, she knows that she's safe so she's still comfortable.

I totally agree with you that Natalie will be safe from eviction if/when Paulie returns for a week; I think it will probably even be 2 weeks.  His first line of action will be to get either Paul or James out, and then he will come for Natalie.  She won't make it any higher than F4 though.

I no longer want Bridgette to come back because she'll just be walking out the door again as soon as she has a bite to eat.  If Da'Vonne returns, she'll want to join up with Meech, not Natalie or Nicole.  I doubt she'll be giving Natalie any bouquets for saving Nicole.

Nicole has earned the right to her smirk tonight, much as it pisses me off.  She has talked James and Natalie into giving her total safety

It really sucks because if Victor walks in, it totally negates Natalie's HOH and she gets screwed in the process. She gets a reset without being able to play for HOH and Paul/Michelle/Victor turn on her and James. I know it's a risk that they have to take, but Natalie/James think that Victor won't walk back in. It's dumb at this point, ESPECIALLY at final seven. All because BB wants another DE.

It only sucks for Natalie.  It may work out just fine for Victor and Michelle.  And Paul, whom I really don't care about.

But I'm afraid it will be Paulie who comes back - not suggesting rigging, just a feeling.  If so, that will suck for Natalie as well.  But they have talked (all of them) about there not being enough people to make it to the end, and that someone would probably be brought back from jury.  Paulie, Corey and Nicole discussed it extensively at the kitchen table the night before the eviction.  All of them, at one time or another, have counted out the weeks and the number of houseguests, and all of them realized that they are one person short.

I don't believe for a moment that Natalie wants Vic to stay.  She and James have been discussing it on and off for over a week.  She's just saying that now because she doesn't want Meech to know she lied to her.  She's just afraid to lose Meech at this point.

I think all plans the HGs are making for next week will go out the window the minute they find out that a juror is coming back into the game. It doesn't matter who comes back... I think that person will become the target instantly unless they win HoH.

I don't think the returnee will be eligible for HOH, but I don't necessarily think they'd be the target either.  If Paul or Victor come back, I do think it will be a short stay.  However, if Paulie comes back, I think Nicole & Corey will make sure he stays.

I know I'm the only one who can't stand Natalie

You're not alone, but to be fair, I never met her and don't know her personally.  Just know too many people who have either gone to school with her or have worked with her at MSG.  Rightly or wrongly, that has formed my opinion.  I don't know any NY Jets cheerleaders, and that's okay with me because I'm Big Blue all the way.  They, however, may have a very different opinion.

My dream scenario is Bridgette wins the buy back comp and then Natalie/Bridgette reform Spy Girls with Michelle. They can drag Nicole along as the ultimate goat. I mean I really don't want to see Nicole win 2nd place money, but whatever. Paulie would lose his mind if the F4 was all women. Such fun!

I so wanted Bridgette to be the one to come back, but mostly so she could help get rid of Nicole and Corey.  Now I hope it's whoever they get out this week who comes back.  Don't want Bridgette to be helping with Nicole's game.  Don't like Nicole and I don't like her boy toy.

Michelle was never going with Paul.  He prefers Natalie and was going to take her.  Victor was going to take Michelle.

They haven't mentioned Tessa's childhood trauma in a while.  Maybe Caleb tried to kill his son Garrett and a child Tessa killed Caleb to stop it.  Which would explain Garrett's fondness for her, I guess.

This is what I was thinking as well, except that Garrett was fond of her (and she of him) even before she killed Caleb to protect him.  I think that Mitch and Garrett then took the body away to bury it, and that's the body Cam saw that night.  It was decided Garrett should go away to keep Tessa from remembering, and perhaps being blamed should Caleb's body be discovered.

The killings stopping when Garret left could either mean :

    1. Garret is the killer(s)

    2. Garret caught the killer, so he (they) decided to stop. A bargain was reached. "I won't say anything, I'll leave town. But it must stop."

    3. It was a killing for a specific reason and it just happened to be over when Garret found out.

I am guessing that Garret being covered in blood and saying, "he tried to kill me" is in reference to him finding out about the murders and maybe almost getting killed himself.

No. 2 for me.  Caleb was the original SBK, and with his death, the killings halted, most probably because his partner couldn't handle it on his/her own.  Could it have been Maddie's mother, and does she know about Garrett and/or Tessa killing Caleb, and that's why they have been paying her off?    Can't think why the reporter though, unless it has something to do with the cover-up that Brady suspects.

Jack:  His visit to Garrett was so cute that I actually peeked out from under the covers to smile.
