  1. Fear not -- enough of us on here have the receipts that, should they choose to ignore it, it'll come out.
  2. Exactly. Why was she allowed to get that far? Why was she allowed into training camp to begin with? Why did we spend the first two episodes being inundated with messages about how amazing she is even though we can clearly see she's out of shape and a "meh" dancer (at best)? Why was the judge who dared to voice some concerns chastised for doing so?
  3. I generally agree, and who knows what is going to be shown but you might feel differently after watching the season. Just sayin'
  4. Amen. My thoughts exactly. It's hard when you're a superfan of something only to learn that the thing you've invested so much time in is so corrupt.
  5. I've heard (but don't have confirmation) some rumblings that Kelli is surprised and upset by all the negative reactions (and not just among posters here) to Victoria being crammed down our throats in the first two episodes. Apparently, they thought people would be so in love with the "perky blonde wants to follow in mother's footsteps" story that nobody would notice she can't dance and is overweight. So I suspect we might start to see a counter-narrative, and this recent post by someone who only joined this site today makes me think I might be right.
  6. As I reported months ago, a few judges questioned Victoria's qualifications and were very rudely shut down. One was told off camera that Victoria was "not up for debate." I did not watch last night as I refuse to support such blatant bullshit as the DCC has now become, but I'm glad to read here that they included at least one of the objections -- I'm sure they did so thinking it made Victoria look good, when in fact, it just revealed how much of the fix is in.
  7. It's really sickening -- and, quite frankly, a pretty crappy reason to jeopardize the entire reputation of this organization. Mind-boggling. Kelli should be fired.
  8. I don't think it's 15 pounds, but Victoria has gained weight in training camp. It's not going to get her eliminated though as it was explained away as "just nerves." And whereas other candidates are called out for weight in front of the other candidates, Victoria's was handled discretely behind the scenes (filming wasn't allowed). Personally I think that's what happens when you tell a girl before the season that she's going to have a certain storyline that will end with her making the squad. People don't work hard for things that are freely given to them.
  9. Dismiss it if you like, but it's 100% true.
  10. I didn't watch the first episode last night, nor do I intend to watch it or any of this season. VK met with Kelli as well as (I'm told) production before the show even began and discussed her storyline, including that she would be guaranteed a spot on the team. That's just ruined the show for me. I knew things were done to create drama, but this is too much. They even discussed adding a lot of stuff to make it sound like VK would be this amazing get for the DCC to try and neutralize the obvious fact that she's only in contention because she's the daughter of Kelli's best friends. Absolutely disgusted. Done.
  11. Victoria has already been told that she's got a guaranteed spot on the team.
  12. It's probably somewhat hard for a mom to be totally objective in this situation.
  13. If we were to accept your position, that would mean two things -- either 1) anyone who is related to someone in the organization and who has tried out before just gets an automatic pass on to the team or 2) don't accept anyone into training camp who is related to someone in the organization if you have any doubts at all as it would be "douchey" to cut them. Bottom line -- Dayton's family should not factor into this. Presumably she received a chance to prove herself, and she came up short in some way. Where's the problem with that? I also disagree that "anyone in training camp would make a perfectly fine DCC" -- we've seen plenty of duds over the year, especially given Kelli's penchant for looking for diamonds in the rough.
  14. Just wait until you see the episodes. Unless they really edit it out, you'll see someone struggling big time.
  15. I'd love to ask Kelli why Victoria is getting such a wide pass (her dancing is poor) yet Dayton received no such grace. The "friends and family program" to making the DCC must only apply to select folks.
