  1. Honestly, yeah. By season 9, I'm pretty sure being on such a tired show was starting to look bad. I mean, it was looking like it was full of people who probably couldn't find work anywhere else. Luke Perry crawling back on after his career failed to go anywhere probably sealed that impression. So, when the guy who had been there since day one and who was, arguably, the lead jumped ship, she jumped too. Getting away from the show's resident harpies was probably just a bonus.
  2. Well, that was nothing. Anyway, 9 Brandon episodes left.
  3. Yeah, there is. I looked up the episode summaries and the first handful of episodes in season 9 are just people coming and going. Brandon is in episodes 1-3, and 5, Val is in 1-7, and Dylan comes in at the end of episode 7. And there's also the introductions of NeoBrandon in episode 4 and NuVal in episode 7.
  4. Laura Leighton was on, but not as Sydney which I found really confusing by the time I got to watch the episodes. But 90210 and Melrose were in the same universe, so why was she someone else? You know what? Who cares. Moving on.
  5. I'm trying to think of something to comment on, but there's nothing. This episode was complete and utter nothing. These huge-ass seasons are so pointless. At least they trimmed it down to 26 episodes in season 9, but that's still 4 too many. Anyway... 10 episodes to bye-bye Brandon.
  6. Wow. Just wow. Originally, I stopped watching after Dylan left in season 6. So, while I missed the awesome ridiculousness of both coke!Kelly and Terruh Streetchild, I definitely made the right decision.
  7. They what now? I mean, I can understand Donna the designer~ eventually opening a boutique, but why Kelly? That makes no sense for a receptionist/non-nurse.
  8. I think the main problem with Kelly's hair is that it's just too old for her. A middle aged mom 'do has no business being a 23-year-old's head.
  9. I do wonder if it was the actors' own personal style that got mixed in with the costuming. Val, David, and Donna probably dressed closest to their ages, because the actors themselves were more or less the ages of the characters they were playing. Everyone else was 4 to 11 years older than their characters were. Ian was 34 in this episode and he dressed like a 34-year-old. Too bad Steve was only 23. Dylan also had the same problem. As the show moved away from 80s fashion in season 4, Dylan went from looking like teenager in baja tops to a 30-year-old in suits.
  10. The more ridiculous and overworked leuks they give Donna's hair, the more I miss her 80s hair from the first four seasons.
  11. Aww, I got a mention. That's awesome. Speaking of, it's now 12 episodes to bye-bye bray.
  12. I looked it up, and counting the two-part season 8 finale as one episode, he has 14 episodes left. And we'll never see him again.
  13. I knew those rape accusation bongos sounded familiar: (go to 39:57 if the video doesn't automatically)
  14. Not by so much, I'd say. In terms of fashion/pop culture, the 80s didn't end until 1992 and there was plenty of holdover thru 1994. And there were also plenty of people over 40 who kept their 80s lewks for the rest of the decade. So, the dresses would've been acceptable for a wedding as far as 1994 (especially a budget one), but 1998? Yeah, no.
  15. Yeah, the story goes that Hilary Swank had signed on for two years only to be fired 17 episodes into her contract.
  16. Yeah, I have to give credit to 90210 for not making Priestly look as tiny as he is. Ian and BAG are both 6" taller than him, and he generally doesn't look that much shorter than them. But next to 6'4" McHale? Comedy gold.
  17. Ngl, I kinda want Noah's v-neck collar shirt.
  18. Mustache Joe's into crystals, you guys.
  19. Good riddance, Claudette! What an absolutely rude, unpleasant human being.
  20. God, I can't wait to see Claudette crash and burn. That'll be my favorite episode of the season.
  21. Lee Anne leaving bummed me out for the whole episode, tbh. That aside, the right person was cut. The challenge was German food, and you do an egg roll? What?
  22. Watching Padma have zero patience with the influencer~ was Top Chef gold.
