  1. I got that vib too but I feel like that moment isn't really earned. I thought the girls had all been living in Rosewood for the past year, without any AD trouble holding them together, so shouldn't they just go back to normal. Like everyone's careers seem to be going well. Aria and Hannah look like they will be millionaires. Everyone was married and trying for kids. I felt like the plot of show made this last run in with AD an after thought and everyone was already established in their lives. The undertone of everything is ending didn't really make any sense for the five characters. Unless they figure out they were in a tv show and they are just happy Marlene King will stop doing weird stuff to them.
  2. Weirdly I think I am the most annoyed about Alison/Emily being endgame. Like I figured the other three couples would end up together but I was honestly hoping Emily would runaway with Paige. I know Paige was still messed up, but it felt like the less for-the-shippers option.
  3. So is the spin off show confirmed because if not the fact that the final scene of the show was just a remake of the first scene of the show, but with characters we care nothing about, just makes this even worse.
  4. Wait wait Mona is running a doll shop, with Twincer and Mary Drake in the basement. I may have spoken too soon about wishing this final was crazier.
  5. Amen. The first half felt like multiple fanfics all pushed pushed together.
  6. Like I can't decided if this is so bad it sucks or its not crazy enough. Like I wish the whole final was from crazy Mona's point of view. With random things happening in the background and just zero attempt to make sense. Then maybe I could get into it.
  7. Yeah, the only time I have seen a pregnancy story line end in an abortion was on Shameless, and that show pushes all kinds of boundaries for both dramatic and comedic reasons. Pretty Little Lairs on the other hand tries to throw out "shocking" twists, while in reality being as safe as possible.
  8. This was honestly my thought exactly. Like the first scene in Spencer kitchen I was thinking "Oh this could be a half way decent plot thread they are setting up for the next half scene" and then it was all downhill from there. They crammed the entire arc into like half of the episode. Way to burn through material. Also I figured Emily/Alison was going to be off the table once Alison revealed she was pregnant with her dead husband's child. I guess not. Then again when has this show ever done anything in good taste.
  9. Personally I think we should just be grateful the show ended before one of the girls refused to come back for another season and we had some awkward explanation about them going away to college and never being heard from again.
  10. Does any else think the future reveal is going to be Ezra leaving Aria, because of something Nicohole related? Either she is back or Ezra has decided to sulk for the rest of his life. Because let's be honest, the writers' current rule for deciding the plot twists is put everything on a board and pick the most annoying choose possible.
  11. This so much. Was this show always light entertaining nonsense? Yes. But at least in the early seasons they actually had interesting story lines. Now they make up new conflicts every season, that relate to nothing. This show has so many dropped plot threads, that would be so much more interesting than the actually story lines they give us. Hell, this past episode, when Emily and Ali were sitting in the park I thought they were finally going to address the fact they had sex years ago, but instead we just get an awkward conversation about Emily working at Rosewood High. I mean at least Emily's love life approximates that of the average 23 year old, but lets be honest no one cares about Emily's relationships with the random girls working at Ezra's coffee shop. If they are going to spend time on the girl's love life, can they at least pick a love interest we actually know enough to be invested in one way or the other? Yes I know I am asking to much. I am sorry. Rant over.
  12. Maybe my standards are too low but I am fine with Paige coming back. We all know the writers were going to give us filler to pad out this last season, at least they are using a character we all know and like. IMHO, if we have to see a big Emily/Alison/some other girl love triangle, I would rather the other girl be Paige than that random blonde that works for Ezra.
  13. I loved the look Ali gave Aria at dinner. I was honestly expecting Ali to follow it up with, "Seriously, bitch?" Also Emily trying to do stuff with her mom was sweet. Pam was always one of the best parents on the show, the best if you count the fact she actually had a character arc in the early seasons. That being said, couldn't they have come up with something less awkward than having a bachelorette party in the background for most of that story line? Other than that we have a new A lead. So my predictions for the mystery of Mary Drake's child are Noel is the suspect for the next two episodes, then Aria is the suspect, and in the last 5 minutes of the half season final, it is revealed Jason is actually Mary Drake's son and he has been in on everything the whole time. While total bs, it would at least retcon away the Cece/Jason relationship with them plotting some scheme together instead.
  14. Aria actually mentions in the car that Hanna had only committed vehicular manslaughter, so even the Lairs know they did was not considered murder. Not to mention the fact that Rollins was only killed because he was trying to kidnap Alison and the Lairs were trying to save her. I am pretty sure in most places if you kill someone to prevent them from committing a serious crime (like kidnapping), its considered justified, or at least you can reasonably expect to not be convicted. Also I love how at the end of the episode, Jenna felt the need to give her full name on the phone. Like shouldn't whatever-his-name-is know who is calling him on the burner phone. Other than that, I actually really liked this episode. The girls were actually proactive and with the help of Mona may have actually covered their tracks for once. The relationship fluff and side story lines were kept to a minimum. Alison seems to get getting back to her old self. They even paired up the Lairs well. I always like Emily/Spencer and Hanna/Aria scenes. Oh, I forgot Spencer's random hookup scene. I feel like it fit into the episode as well as any sex scene this show has ever had ("I'm being stalked by a psychopath, I guess I can spare a hour to bang.") but it really felt like another example of the writers trying to show how adult and edgy the network is since the name change. I mean I know they choose that sex position so she would look at her reflection and decide to stop, but did we really need to see Spencer get bent over in a elevator by a random guy.
  15. Yes! This. I've been so bored by docile/wimpy Alison of the the post time jump. She had a few moments after Charlotte died, but mostly she's been bland and damseled. This Ally is the one I can get behind. Yes, it will likely take the form of manipulating the girls into protecting her next week... but proactive Allison, manipulative possible sociopath and all, is way more fun. Yes and all it took was for her to be institutionalized and drugged with huge doses of a stimulant to get her back to her old scheming, sociopathic self. Though seriously, its good to see the writers finally realized the melodramatic blob they turned Ali into was getting really boring.
