The pot roast recipe is just gross. If you are using bullion cubes, you should add water to it. Also, it shouldn’t take 10 to 12 hours to cook, more like 5 or 6. And, before you put the pot roast in the crockpot, you should trim the excess fat off the roast.
I have to say, though, Jill’s recipes are a lot like my late mother-in-law’s - overcooked and weirdly seasoned.
