Wyatt killed me with the: So, the only reason I'm married is because Ivy fell into the Seine. What a fool. Like he didn't know all along he was the consolation prize? Talk about delusional. And why did Bill tell him when he demanded Liam not tell Hope about Paris? Was it his passive aggressive way to stick it Wyatt for stealing favorite son number one's one true love?

That scene is the first time I liked Wyatt as a character, though I have felt a little sorry for him in scenes with Quinn.

As a newer viewer, I find it odd to think that Liam is Bill's favorite son because I've been getting #teamwyatt vibes these last few weeks.

And I had no idea Ivy was "core family" - I thought she was some kind of assistant.

  2. First a question - does Days air early in some places?  Where I live it's on at 1:00.  It seems like some people comment on the current episode earlier than that.

Second - a comment on yesterday's show.  When EJ was asking Sami what she would do for his help, I flashbacked to when he forced her to have sex to save Lucas.  I'm guessing that was intentional on the part of the writers?  But when did EJ go from wanting Sami back to just evil bastard wanting to punish her?  I've been watching for Sami's exit story, and don't think I've skipped anything but when did he have this about face?

  3. It's been a long time but I thought that Dorian accepted the situation?  I didn't mean like give her up for adoption but more like not fighting for custody? (Or maybe it was more like once she was in a position to find her, she didn't want to disrupt her life?)  But like I said, it's been forever.  It was special enough that I think they tried to recreate that with both Adrianna and Langston.

  4. Best secret/unknown offspring storyline - Dorian and Cassie. I loved it, especially cold hard-nosed Dorian having had a child with a musician and then giving her up to - what, pursue her medical career?  (I'm not sure if they ever retconned that but it's what I remember.) One of my favorite stories on OLTL.

Worst secret/unknown offspring storyline - Rex and whoever.  (Runner-up, ironically enough, Dorian -again- and Adrianna.)

Honorable mention for permanently unknown offspring - David's high school indiscretion.

  5.

He attended AA meetings back in the day, that's where he met Macy.  I don't know if he attended to actually get help or to get someone or something off his back.

I know the show crosses over with Y&R but not sure how much of what happens there is canon here.  There was a storyline with Deacon and Nikki with a lot of AA/12 Step stuff so it surprised me to see him casually sipping champagne. I was an on/off viewer, so maybe there was something about Deacon and AA that I missed but it seemed "real" enough to throw me a little here.

Which leads to a good question.  How many B&B characters are Friends of the other Bill?

JJ would take back his comments ASAP if he knew Sami made changes to the article and gave up Abby's name. Sonny and Will should have told him the truth. Instead they protected Sami.

I haven't seen today's show but do we know for sure that Sami gave the editor Abby's name?  (Not that I blame her for doing it. Why should she have to be the only one getting trashed?)

I'm pretty sure Sami could have gotten the article quashed if she had really wanted to put pressure on the magazine or the editor.  ETA:  It might have been more interesting if the editor had tried to play it both ways by burying the story and then we would get to watch it go viral.

  7. Week 3 or so - more characters on my screen that I'm not quite sure who they are or why they are.  The show still looks pretty.  And Rena Sofer is still entertaining me.  (I hope everyone is wrong with the Sheila Carter comparisons but until I see it with my own eyes, I'm just going to enjoy her.)

I liked SC on OLTL, so I guess I don't see what you all see in Liam.  (Some of the descriptions ring true, though, especially the Liam of Infinite Sadness. lol.)

Last comment/question - is Brooke (the character or the actress) always this low key?  She almost seems like she's on some pretty powerful meds.  I haven't seen any chemistry with Deacon or Bill either.

  8. Usually I'm okay with a montage here or there on any show but even this newbie says enough already.  Or at least find some less drippy music for them.  :-)

Obviously I came in at an inopportune moment because Hope acting like the typical bride on the honeymoon is baffling.  So Liam is the guy she's been on and off with for 3 years but the brother is the one she married with barely a backward glance?

I don't remember if SK ever interacted with RS on GH but they do make quite a pair of schemers.  I could be on board with it if she hadn't killed a guy to get a diamond for her son.  (I'm assuming she did it.  Did she?)

  9. I am a new viewer - just over 2 weeks or so.  (Was curious after seeing how many ABC actors were in the cast.)  I am loving the sets, the characters with jobs and bits of dialog with words of 3 or more syllables.  :-)

But I have a serious wth is going on issue with this Hope/Liam/Wyatt thing.  She starts the day out planning on marrying one guy and because he's a little late (maybe half an hour from what I could tell) she marries his brother before the day is even out?  I was confused, thinking that maybe the diamond really was magic and she was hypnotized or something but from reading that last few pages of this thread, I guess not.

When she walked to the side of the boat, I was hoping maybe it had occurred to her that it was suspicious that this Wyatt guy had a dress, a captain ready to perform a wedding, etc. on the day she was planning to marry his brother but oh no...

That said, I kind of love Rena Sofer playing a psycho.

  10.

The combination of Will being written as completely convinced of the rightness of his position (not in a fun Sami kind of way, but in a preachy Horton kind of way) and the block of wood acting style just ruined everything.

I'm not enjoying WilSon at all and they have a great storyline with a new marriage, feuding families and secrets and lies... it should be working.  I just want Sonny to dump him.  Soon.
